Your name will be placed in a position of honour in our Reception Area under the photo of your sponsored cat thanking you for your support. Your name will also appear on this page, as well as our Facebook and Instagram page. Please indicate which kitty you would like to sponsor.

Spartacus came to us from the Plaster Rock area on May 2, 2017 where a couple had several cats, but were splitting up and could no longer house them all. Heartbroken, they had to give some up, so Spartacus came to us to find a new home. Spartacus is a beautiful little boy - a true gentleman. He loves to be patted and particularly loves his ears, cheeks and chin scratched. He is not so much a "pickin' up cat," but he is very affectionate and likes to spend time with humans.
Spartacus was born about August 2, 2014. He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but he is a very healthy, happy, affectionate boy. FIV cats can live long and happy lives, especially if they are cared for, vaccinated, have a good diet and are monitored closely for such things as upper respiratory infection (colds) or dental disease. Please read about FIV and consider taking one of these beautiful cats home - they're perfect! Spartacus spent some time with a senior citizen as part of our Cats For Seniors program, then came back to us. He is currently fostered in Woodstock with another cat who is also spoiled rotten! Thanks to his sponsors for providing food and any required medical care. He is a very lucky little boy. FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Abel came back to us on April 20, 2018 from Woodstock where he had been adopted in December 2015. He had originally come to us from Lakeville in 2012 where he was one of several cats who were hanging around a home but had no one to care for him. Abel is a sweet little boy who was originally very timid but he quickly became very confident, secure and happy on his own.
Abel is eating a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to make sure that he is healthy as he has a tendency to block if he eats other foods. We have had dozens of cats who have been placed on this diet and it works extremely well - no problems at all, as long as they eat this diet. Abel was in a foster home but experienced some medical issues, so he came back to us for care. He was born about April 1, 2012. Abel was recently diagnosed with asthma, so requires a puffer which he accepts very well - it isn't an issue at all, especially if there is a treat involved afterward! He requires 10 breaths each evening with his puffer, and he is doing fine! He has also been diagnosed with early kidney disease. Abel is a happy, sweet, loving little boy who gets along with the other cats with whom he currently lives. He loves to be patted, picked up and cuddled. As part of our Sponsor A Kitty program, he is grateful to those who contribute monthly to help provide all required medication and care. |

Splinter came to us on May 8, 2018 from Glassville where he'd been part of a colony of feral cats that was trying survive. Splinter was born about August 7, 2010, so was about eight years old. In his life, he had sustained several wounds and injuries. Today he displayed a very badly-infected ear and he needed help. Splinter's ear was cleaned and he was placed on antibiotics to ensure the infection would not spread further. He wasn't sure what to think of us at first, but this old guy is happy to be warm, safe and have food delivered upon demand.
Splinter is doing well, and although he was initially a little timid and quiet, he quickly realized that we'll take good care of him. He is currently fostered with three other cats in Florenceville and he gets along with them fine. He's still initially a little timid of humans, though, but loves his toys and to sleep on his human's bed! Once he gets to know you, though, he's all over you looking for pats and hugs! He hopes to have a safe, warm and loving permanent home soon. He's tired of those long, cold, hungry winters and has paid his dues many times over. He likes to be patted and have his belly rubbed, but mostly he loves having his back scratched at the base of his tail - elevator butt!! Splinter tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). He's currently being spoiled in his foster home, and being a senior citizen, is very happy with that! He still loves to chase toys (and his foster brothers!), and he certainly loves his Temptations! FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Frazzle came to us from Waterville on the morning of May 13, 2019 where she had been found on a porch at 8 am. Frazzle could barely move. She was brought for help and was immediately taken to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for examination and assistance. Frazzle was not in good shape. She was born about May 13, 2017, but weighed only three pounds. Frazzle was dehydrated, very pale, had halitosis, was emaciated, lethargic, had burdocks matted in her fur and had a purulent discharge coming from her eyes. A thermometer revealed that her body temperature was also several degrees below normal. She was very cold.
Frazzle was warmed up, given intravenous fluids, medications and several tests were conducted to determine if her kidneys and other organs were working properly. Frazzle was so exhausted and weak that, in the next few hours and days, she could barely hold her head up when trying to eat warm food. On May 14, 2019, Frazzle received a blood transfusion from a generous feline donor which soon made a world of difference for her. Thanks, Biggie! You saved her life! Frazzle used the litter box for the first time on May 15 and appeared to have the tiniest bit of energy - that's a WONDERFUL sign! She (and we) would like to thank the Florencevile Veterinary Clinic for their kind and hard work to ensure this little one has a chance at the life she deserves. On May 31, 2019, we learned that Frazzle was improving nicely and is comfortable, happy, purring and content with her huge staff of human servants who wait on her hand and foot, day and night. In June, she required a feeding tube to be inserted as she declined her meals, but she was soon eating on her own again and feeling better. On August 15, 2019, Frazzle was fortunate to go to a foster home where she is treated like a queen and is doing amazingly well! We'd like to thank her vet tech foster mom - you're amazing!! Frazzle is a very lucky girl! Her mom reports that she is a quiet girl but has the funniest raspy meow when she talks! She loves to go outside in her secure catio and chase bugs. Her favourite toys are springs and want toys, which she leaps into the air to catch! Frazzle is a super affectionate girl and loves to lay on her mom's lap. She does not enjoy her spa days of shaving her bum as required, nor does she enjoy medication as required either, but she says it is well worth it to have this loving home. She is a very lucky little girl, and she thanks those who sponsor her to ensure she has the medical care she requires. She knows how fortunate she is, and is very grateful to all who have made this new life possible. |

Fivel returned to DunRoamin' on August 1, 2019. He had originally come to us on June 5, 2015 from Florenceville where he had been found wandering in a yard. He had a lacerated right hind leg, a severe infestation of ear mites, bleeding ears and infected puncture wounds on both front legs. He needed help and we were grateful to be able to provide it.
On December 15, 2015, Fivel was adopted to a home in Peel. Unfortunately, he developed crystals in his urine which clogged his urethra, ensuring urine could not leave his body. This is very serious. As his owners were unable to provide care at this time, Fivel was returned to DunRoamin' and received medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where he got exactly what he required to become healthy again. Fivel is a beautiful boy! On August 6, 2019, he underwent surgery to remove several tiny stones stuck in his urethra. This surgery, which included a perineal urethrostomy, allowed the stones to be removed/passed and he was quickly doing better. Due to the fact that his body can make these stones again if he eats any other food, Fivel must eat a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to ensure he does not form stones or block again. We have had many dozens of cats on this diet and have had not a single recurrence - as long as they eat Urinary S/O food, they're perfectly fine! Fivel is currently in our Cats For Seniors Program where he lives happily with his family. He is grateful to his sponsors who provide for his prescription food and routine care. On September 28, 2025, Fivel returned from his Cats For Seniors home. On October 3, 2025, he was adopted by a family member of his Cats For Seniors person and he now lives in Fredericton. We are so grateful for the time he spent with his loving Cats For Seniors mother. Thank you so much. We are grateful that Fivel gets to stay in the family. Congratulations, Fivel. Write soon. Rocky came to us on November 10, 2020 from Holmesville where he had been trying to survive on his own. He had been hanging around a house for quite some time asking for food and shelter, but no one was able to take him in. He came to DunRoamin' and tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which, as we know, is no big deal these days! Rocky was born about November 27, 2017.
Rocky is a nice boy who loves to have his ears scratched, although when he's had enough he'll let you know by whacking you with his paw - he's in charge, you know! He currently lives with his best friend, Gilmore and they are hoping for a loving home together where they can live out the rest of their lives in bliss! Rocky has come into his own very quickly. He is friendly, affectionate and loves to have lots of pets and scratches. If he tires of attention, he'll let us know with a quick swat, but then is back very quickly for more loving! He is quite the boy! As you can read below, FIV+ cats may live long and happy lives and may interact with other cats as long as they do not fight, and he's a lover, not a fighter! Please come meet this gorgeous tuxedo cat! He is SO hoping for a home where he can sleep on a bed, watch TV and help his person type on a computer! He loves to hang out with people! On January 22, 2021, Rocky was invited to be fostered by a very nice couple in Riceville while he awaits a permanent home. Thanks to them for giving this beautiful little boy a home while he awaits a permanent abode! Rocky is grateful for his supporters through our Sponsor A Kitty program. Thank you!! Waif returned to DunRoamin' on January 29, 2021 from Woodstock where she had been adopted about three years previously. Waif had become ill and was not doing well, so she returned to her original vet to be treated.
Waif had a temperature and did not feel well enough to eat. She was prescribed medication and required a feeding tube inserted until she felt well enough to eat on her own. Waif was born about January 3, 2017 and is a very nice, friendly, affectionate little girl. We'd like to thank her vet tech foster mother for taking such good care of her. She's in the best of hands, and has done well as a result. Waif was diagnosed with liver dysplasia, but is doing much better now. She is grateful to have the love and support of her vet tech foster mom and is a loving little girl who interacts well with her foster family. Her new best four-legged friend is a Great Dane, and they love each other! Thanks to her family for taking such great care of her!! |

Gaia came to DunRoamin' from a colony of cats in Sommerville on May 18, 2021. Born about January 1, 2020, she was not in good shape. A bad case of upper respiratory infection required her left eye to be removed and she required dental work once she was strong enough. On top of these medical issues, she was found to be diabetic. She has had a hard go, but all that ends today.
Gaia tested negative for FIV and FeLV and was spayed. Gaia requires a very tiny amount of insulin twice daily and a diabetic diet which have both allowed her system to regulate very well. We hope that eventually she will need only the diabetic food and can dispense with the injections! She is a beautiful little girl who is grateful to be warm and safe. Now that she's starting to feel better, she is showing her real personality - and it's a winner! Gaia hopes for a loving home very soon. Her insulin injections are really no big deal, are inexpensive and she is SUCH a sweet little girl! She was soon putting on weight and she will be very grateful to have a family of her very own. Right now, she is fostered by a caring couple who ensures she has the best of the best. Diabetic cats may require a diabetic diet and/or an insulin injection once or twice daily, but once they are regulated, they do very well! Gaia eats Fancy Feast canned food (only fish or chicken is appropriate for diabetics) and Purina DM dry food and she loves them both. She has put on weight and is now a healthy, happy, loving and affectionate little girl. She would love to have a family and live in a loving home - she's been waiting since Day 1, and she's definitely ready for one!! Gaia is grateful for her foster family and for her Sponsor A Kitty friends who help support her diabetic requirements. Thank you! |

Gilmore came to DunRoamin' on June 2, 2021 from Gregg Settlement where he was peeing inappropriately in the home and his owners were unable to provide medical assistance. Gilmore was assessed by his new vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and found to have cystitis for which he was quickly treated.
Gilmore is a sweet little boy who was born about April 15, 2016. He loves to have his ears scratched and loves attention. He must eat a prescription of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food only, as he may have a tendency to block if he eats any other food. This is a high-quality food that we have used for years and have had not even one single recurrence as long as they stay on this diet! Gilmore is looking forward to meeting a family who will love him very soon! Perhaps there is a family that is already feeding their cat Urinary S/O food - he'd love to join!! On August 10, 2021, Gilmore went to be fostered with Rocky, another DunRoamin cat. Thank you to this family for accepting him into your home while he awaits a permanent home. You are wonderful!! Gilmore is grateful to his Sponsor A Kitty friends who help provide his prescription food, medication and vet visits. We are all grateful! |

Tanoo and her kittens, Tamper, Tamara, Tardis, Trax and Tenet all came to DunRoamin' from the Fielding area on November 14, 2021, where they were living alone in and around an abandoned building. The location was cold, provided little shelter and even less food. Tanoo was born about November 18, 2019, and her babies were only about six weeks old when found. All kittens were brought back to good health, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. They have all since found homes.
Tanoo is a beautiful little girl who was initially very timid, as she had apparently never known the safety and security of a loving indoor home nor a human family. She is still slightly timid and it takes a minute for her to learn to trust a new person, but she has come a very long way and is doing well. She especially likes men, except for her young servant, Sophie, whom she also adores. We hope that Tanoo can find a loving family who will give her a warm home where she can spend the rest of her life. She was born about November 18, 2019 and we're hoping she gets the opportunity to know a nice warm lap and the joy of playing with a computer mouse! It may take her a few days to acclimatize in a new environment, but she would definitely love to have a home with a human or two, and maybe even one more cat. On September 21, 2025, Tanoo's dream (and our dream for her) finally came true. Tanoo now lives in Fredericton with a very nice couple who also adopted her best friend, Tremble, on the very same day. These two best friends will always get to snuggle, play and live together forever. We are SO grateful that they both will have a loving home and will be together forever. Thank you!! Write soon, Tanoo, we will all miss you! |

Dazzler returned to DunRoamin' on November 18, 2021. She had originally come from the Hartland area where she and several siblings had been found locked in a shed during hot summer days. She had been adopted on April 16, 2013, but had been returned as she was stressed by the noise and activity of young children. On December 4, 2014, she was adopted by a couple from Stickney, but they eventually gave her up for reasons unknown.
Dazzler was born about May 25, 2011. She is a very sweet little old lady who loves everyone. She tested positive for FeLV, but it is still not an issue at her ripe old age! Dazzler lived with several other FeLV+ cats until she was chosen by the nicest couple ever to come live with them in the Perth area. She has been diagnosed with arthritis and is now on medication to help. She visits her vet friend for an injection monthly and it has made a huge change in her comfort level. Dazz has recently been diagnosed as diabetic, so now will undergo medical care for this as well. She is doing very well - happy, healthy and enjoying being spoiled by her humans. She is fostered with another DunRoamin' FeLV+ kitten, Jacob, and they are best friends - he adores her! Dazzler keeps her humans entertained and displays her gratitude daily for all the love she has been given. She has the PERFECT retirement home! Crombie came to DunRoamin' on April 23, 2022 from Crombie Settlement, NB. He had been found in an abandoned house where he had been seeking shelter for quite some time. A kind lady had tried to catch him, but when she went back to the house he was gone. Approximately two weeks later, she was able to find and deliver him to us.
Crombie was born about April 23, 2012. Assessment by his new vet friend showed that he was very dirty, matted, emaciated, had fleas, ear mites, internal parasites and a luxating patella on his right leg. He had obviously been having a hard time trying to survive, but the worst and probably most painful thing was his mouth. All his teeth were rotten and painful and therefore required to be removed. He also had a very bad abscess on his tongue which had resulted in a hole which extended all the way through his tongue. This was painful and made eating difficult for the little boy. He was also covered with a black tar-like material. Crombie was immediately provided antibiotics, pain medication and a nice warm and comfortable bed. He was also given wet food which he devoured instantly. Despite his physical condition, he was soon purring and kneading - saying thank you to his new vet friend for her help to make him more comfortable. All his medical issues were addressed and he has shown his gratitude each and every day since - he is a loving, affectionate little sweetheart!! Crombie was tested for FIV and FeLV. He tested positive for FIV which is absolutely no big deal - please read about it by following the link below. Crombie was soon a healthy and happy little boy who has bonded with Beau, who is also FIV+. They are the very best of friends and we hope that they may be adopted together - they are always found together, and when they sleep, they wrap themselves around each other! Both are neutered, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites. They are exceptionally affectionate with each other and will bond quickly with their new human. They look forward to living in a home, watching TV, chasing a computer mouse and the many other things such fortunate adopted cats get to do! They thank their sponsors for providing their medical needs - they are forever grateful! FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Beau came to DunRoamin' on June 19, 2022 from the Somerville, NB area where he had been hanging around for a few seasons, but no one could take him in. Recently he had been observed to have what appeared to be injuries to his face.
Beau was accepted by DunRoamin' and immediately examined by his new vet friend who observed an infected injury to his right cheek and several smaller wounds on his feet, one of which was an exposed ligament. These wounds were most probably the result of an attack by another animal while he was trying to survive on his own. Beau is estimated to have been born about June 19, 2018, so was about four years old when he arrived at DunRoamin'. Beau underwent sedation several times to have his wound drained, treated and sutured. He was prescribed pain medications and antibiotics to combat his injuries. Beau was also diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which you can read about at the link below. Beau and his best friend Crombie (also FIV+) are the most affectionate and loving cats you may ever meet! They are grateful to spend their summers as foster cats of an extremely wonderful couple with whom they have fallen head over heals in love! They are often found sleeping on their humans or cuddled together on top of each other or wound around each other! They hope for a new home together very soon, and would be very pleased if someone were to choose them to join their family. They are grateful to their sponsors who help provide vaccines and medical support as required. FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Josie came to DunRoamin' on June 21, 2022 from the Victoria County area where she had been diagnosed with diabetes. Unfortunately, no one was available to provide her care, so she came to DunRoamin' to live with our two diabetic cats who eat Diabetic food and require insulin injections twice daily. Josie only requires diabetic food - not injections. Josie was born about June 17, 2012.
Josie is a beautiful little girl who has become much more outgoing and playful. Thanks to the care and interest provided by her vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, Josie no longer requires insulin injections - and is happy to eat whatever she wants - remission!!! She currently is eating Royal Canin Adult food and Fancy Feast canned. Josie is a very sweet, quiet little girl who will do very well in a quiet home by herself, or perhaps with one other cat of similar age. She is social, playful and doing very well, but would SO like to have her very own family. She deserves it! As a Senior, she hopes for a quiet retirement home. She is grateful for her sponsors who help provide her food, vaccines and routine checkups by her vet to ensure she is still doing well! |

Kensi came to DunRoamin' on July 6, 2022 from the Woodstock area where her owners could no longer care for her, so her options for life quickly became limited. Born about May 5, 2019, Kensi had developed kidney stones and required surgery to remove them which took place on July 7, 2023. Of course, with the skills of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, surgery was successful and Kensi recovered well.
Kensi was overweight when she arrived and has been working on her diet to ensure that she soon is of a healthy weight. She weighed about 18 pounds when she arrived and was soon down to about 16 pounds, so she has done a great job! She is a wonderfully-affectionate girl with a beautiful personality and sparkling blue eyes that will easily win you over! She eats Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to ensure that she will have no similar medical issues in the future. She is currently living with a half dozen other cats who require the same diet and she has absolutely no issues - she loves them all! Please come meet her. She would like to thank her sponsors who help provide her prescription food and any required medical care. |

Yaeger came to DunRoamin' on January 17, 2023 from Somerville, NB. He had been a stray in the area for about four years but was now injured and had no one to care for him. Yaeger was born about January 17, 2014. He had several deep wounds on the side of his face that were probably self-inflicted due to the large number of parasites he was carrying which made him so itchy and uncomfortable that he scratched himself very badly in an effort to stop the pain. Much of the skin and fur were missing, especially from the left side of his face, and he hurt.
Yaeger was immediately provided with all medical care required, including parasite control. His wounds all healed well and he shows little sign of his previous injuries. He is a very nice boy who has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, but as we know, that's no big deal these days. Yaeger's wounds have healed very well. His eyes glow with gratitude now that he is pain-free, warm, safe and has such a delicious and nutritious diet. He would love to have his very own home and family - that would be a miracle to him! Please come meet him - he loves people and has lots of attitude!! He is currently fostered with three other cats in the Florenceville area and he gets along very well with all of them. Lawrence came to us on January 17, 2023 from a local shelter. He was diagnosed with diabetes and required daily injections of insulin which, due to the particular timings of this requirement, the shelter was unable to provide. Lawrence was born about January 22, 2013 and is a very nice boy.
Lawrence also had a wound on his hind leg which required medical care. His wound has healed completely and he is responding well to his insulin which is provided once each morning. He is a vocal and sweet little boy whose only wish is that he might live in a home, sleep on a bed with a human, and watch a bit of TV every once in a while! Lawrence eats Purina DM dry food along with his Fancy Feast chicken or Fancy Feast fish canned food, the only non-prescription canned food allowed for diabetic cats. Lawrence also had dental issues upon his arrival, so he required dental surgery to remove all his teeth. He still loves his dry and canned food and definitely has no issues with his daily insulin injection. Lawrence is very calm, quiet and loving - he'd make the PERFECT addition to any home that would love to have some affectionate feline company! Lawrence is grateful to his Sponsor A Kitty supporters who donate to provide his prescription food and medication. We all are! |

Imogen returned to DunRoamin' on August 13, 2024 from the New Maryland area to where she had been previously adopted. Her family kindly and generously took her in, as they have with numerous special-needs cats such as Lois, Derp, Sharon and Booker. We are so fortunate to have their love, care, support and patience for these little ones and are extremely grateful for all they have done for many of our special-needs ones.
Imogen is deaf and tested FIV+, but has no issues at all with life in general. She learned a great deal of things in her new home and was dearly loved, but unfortunately she was a bit too much for her new special siblings who are older and require a bit more than normal care. Imogen quickly re-acclimatized to her old home here at DunRoamin'. Being deaf, she talks louder than normal (ie: "yells" at us for her food!) but she is very loving and affectionate. She loves her freeze-dried minnows, and has learned to get one from almost each person who comes into her room! In 2025, Imogen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is currently on medication to ensure she is comfortable and is being spoiled beyond her wildest dreams (especially with her freeze-dried minnows!) She is a sweet little girl, and is grateful for her friends at DunRoamin' and the many people who support her, especially through the Sponsor A Kitty program. Other than her deafness, she is a typical cat who meows loudly for attention. She has her own TV in her room where she watches bird videos all day while her servants respond to her every wish. She was born about January 18, 2017, so is about eight years old. FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Hoover returned to DunRoamin' on August 16, 2024. He had originally come to us on April 19, 2024 from Woodstock where he, his mom Henrietta and siblings Hayden and Heist had been dropped on the doorstep of someone who could not cope with cats. He was adopted on July 8, 2023 and did well, but was subsequently required to eat a special diet to ensure he did not block. His owners were unable to keep him on that diet, so he returned to us where it was learned that he was badly blocked (urine could not leave his body). Hoover was born about February 19, 2023 and is the SWEETEST boy you will ever meet!
Hoover required a urinary catheter to be inserted into his ureter in order to be unblocked. He was placed on IV fluids and had his bloodwork checked, which was fine. He was soon SO much better! Hoover requires a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food which will guarantee that he will never block again, so he will be perfectly fine (and perfect!) forever. We have had dozens of cats on this diet, and there has never, ever been a recurrence, as long as they eat that diet! On July 12, 2025, Hoover met a family from Woodstock. They already have one cat of similar age and personality who is also eating Royal Canin Urinary S/O food, so Hoover is a perfect match for their home. Congratulations, Hoover! Have a great life! Don't forget to write!! |

Strauss came to DunRoamin' on October 28, 2014 from the Brookville area where she was one of several cats who had taken refuge in a shed. Kind neighbours had very generously taken on the task of their care and were diligent enough to notice a lump on her belly. She had an umbilical hernia which was quickly repaired when she was accepted as a DunRoamin' ward. Strauss was born about May 1, 2014. Strauss has become a very affectionate and trusting little girl. As of January 21, 2015, she is fostered with a family in Bristol. Thanks, Shawn and Mitchell, for giving her a home environment. It is most probably a very unique experience for her!
As Strauss has potential to block (ie: crystals can form in her urine, clump together and potentially block her urethra causing urine to back up into her system), she has been prescribed Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to ensure that cannot occur. She is grateful to her sponsors who help provide her food, medications, vaccines and routine care. |

Drew came to DunRoamin' on August 7, 2024 from a local shelter. Born about May 19, 2022, he was diagnosed with diabetes. As the shelter could not house a cat who required insulin twice daily, he came to us as his only alternative for life. He was already neutered before his arrival.
Drew is a beautiful little boy. He loves to fist bump with his head, and his huge eyes glow with intelligence. He required only 0.5 units of Lantus insulin twice daily initially, but now he requires no insulin at all - just a diabetic hard food and Fancy Feast chicken or feast canned cat food. And he LOVES to be brushed! Drew is very anxious to go to a new home where he can be a best friend to the human(s) who will love and care for him for the rest of his life. He would be ecstatic if his friend Ronald, who is also diabetic, could go with him - they are very close! It is normal to see them bumping heads, walking shoulder to shoulder or sleeping together - they are best buds!! Both would love the stability of home and family - it will be Drew's fondest wish, which will hopefully come true very soon. He is fully up to date on his vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is treated for all parasites. He is grateful to his sponsors who help provide prescription diabetic food, blood glucose curves to ensure his insulin levels are adequate and routine medical care. |

On July 26, 2024, we accepted Teak and numerous other cats from the Lansdowne area where they were living in a colony. All were skinny and had an excessive number of fleas. Teak, born about August 1, 2023, was pregnant and very skinny.
Teak was very grateful, loving and affectionate to her new servants. All her medical issues were addressed and she soon completed her medical protocol which included spay, full vaccines, parasite control and testing for FIV and FeLV. Teak tested positive for FeLV. Teak is very bonded to her friend Meloni who also tested positive for FeLV and they cuddle, play, eat, headbutt and spend all their time very close to each other. They actually walk shoulder to shoulder most of the time! It was our hope that they might be adopted together to a home where they might experience what life should be: full of love, food, affection, warmth, shelter and family. FeLV+ cats can live long and happy, healthy lives. On September 23, 2025, we are happy to announce that Teak joined her new family in Upper Knoxford. Her new mother has been with DunRoamin' for many years and has been a wonderful home to several DunRoamin' strays. We are happy to know that Teak will have such a loving home and family, and also - Meloni got to go along with her!!! These two are best friends who cuddle, sleep and walk shoulder to shoulder together. We are SO glad to see them go to a great home. Congratulations, Teak and Meloni!! Thanks to your new family! Send lots of photos!! FeLV+I have FeLV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Ronald came to DunRoamin' on July 18, 2024. Diagnosed as diabetic, his owners were unable to provide for his health. Fortunately for him, we have several diabetic cats who require twice-daily insulin injections so he joined them to ensure that he would have the life he deserves. He is a kind, laid-back, sweet little guy who wants only to give his love and affection to a human (or two!) who will give lots back in return.
Ronald was born about June 28, 2016 and is hoping to join a family soon. His insulin is a small twice-daily injection that he takes very easily - especially if there is food involved! He definitely loves his food! Please give us a call for more information. This little guy is a keeper - he just needs to find his very own family!! Ronald is very vocal (especially when he's hungry!) and he has a very best friend, Drew, who loves him SOOOO much!! They constantly walk shoulder to shoulder and head butt each other with such affection! Drew is also diabetic. Both are very grateful for each other and for the people who sponsor them to ensure they receive the love and care we all deserve! |

Rosco came to DunRoamin' on July 16, 2024 from Perth-Andover where he was no longer able to be cared for by his owner. Upon coming to us, he was panting heavily and had parasites. Born about December 31, 2010, he was also not vaccinated and had not been to a vet in many years. All these things were rectified to ensure his health and make him more comfortable.
Rosco is an older guy who dreamed only of health and contentment in his later years, but that was not meant to be. He was diagnosed by his new vet friend as having a cancerous growth beside his thyroid which is not curable. Rosco still feels good, so we are giving him the best life possible. Rosco will stay with his DunRoamin' family where he will be spoiled and loved and receive the best of medical care for the rest of his life. We are honoured to take care of this little boy - he is a sweetheart who deserves the very best. He currently lives with Ollie, Brix and Laura who share our main area with him. He is a sweetheart who is very grateful to his sponsors who ensure that he may receive all the medical care he requires while his DunRoamin' staff takes good care of him. He deserves it! |

Humphrey came to DunRoamin' from the Somerville area on June 27, 2024. A stray who had been hanging around for awhile, a lady had noticed that he now needed help so had been trying to catch him for several weeks. He eventually lost the physical ability to get away from her and was fortunate enough to be caught and brought for medical assistance. And he really needed medical assistance.
Humphrey is thought to be about six years old, having been born about June 27, 2019. Upon examination by his new vet friend, he was found to be emaciated, dehydrated, matted, had ear mites, fleas, worms, arthritis, upper respiratory infection and his teeth were in a terrible state with stomatitis, which would have been very painful for him. He tested positive for FIV which is not such a big deal at all - he just needs a little more monitoring! Humphrey was provided with pain medication, antibiotics, steroids, IV fluids and lots of nutritious food. He was soon eating cautiously and was grateful for his new-found wealth of medical care, food, water and caring friends to help him. He initially spent all his time eating or sleeping in an effort to regain some of his health and strength. He was quiet, respectful and grateful for all he received. Humphrey required all his teeth to be removed, which changed his life entirely. He was soon pain-free and therefore much more outgoing and friendly, and his gratitude still shines through at every moment he sees a human. He loves to yell at us for his breakfast and has his very own personal bed which he also loves. He loves to be picked up, and will hug his humans in gratitude for all he has received in his new life. Humphrey was also diagnosed with significant lack of vision - he seemed to see shadows and can locate people and food, but is sometimes hesitant with his footing in a new environment, so his current room is never rearranged. He was also diagnosed with diabetes in December, 2024, so he requires insulin each morning. Humphrey would just like a quiet retirement home where he can enjoy a human's love, a lap to sleep on, some good food and a nice warm bed - that's all he asks. After all, he thinks he is in heaven now! Just imagine what he would think if he got his own very own home and family! Humphrey would like to thank his sponsors from our Sponsor A Kitty program who ensure that he is able to receive the food, care, medication and vet care he may require. We couldn't do it without you! Meloni arrived at DunRoamin' on August 14, 2024 from Oakland, NB, the same location as Juniper, Magnolia, Cedar, Oak, Elm, Teak, Monica, Geller, Joey, Tribbiani, and Marcel. This is a colony of cats that we have been doing our best to spay/neuter so they do not develop into an even larger, more sick feline community. However, as cats are continually dropped off/brought in, it is yet another huge and difficult task for a rescue to accomplish.
Meloni was born about December 15, 2019 and is a very sweet little boy. He tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) but is very healthy - these days it is not such a big issue, especially if they have a good life, good diet, good medical care and lots of human love. Please read up on FeLV - it's no big deal, especially if they are safe, warm, vaccinated and receive a nutritious diet. They can live very long and happy lives! Meloni is a sweetheart who loves his friend Teak (also FeLV+) and would love to spend the rest of his life with her in a warm, loving family. Both Meloni and Teak are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. Their lives are almost complete - they just need a loving family. Melonie and Teak are bonded - often sleeping together, walking shoulder to shoulder and head butting each other with affection. They are a joy to experience, and would love to join a family and share this love. On October 25, 2024, Meloni underwent a total ear canal resection and ventral bulla osteotomy which is a surgery to remove an infected area to ensure that infections do not have a place to grow in the ear. He was quickly back to his normal self and much more comfortable, thanks to his surgeon at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic. He also underwent dental surgery to remove some bad teeth in early 2025, and he is now 100%! He looks forward to that loving family who will soon be his! He is grateful to his Sponsor A Kitty supporters who helped make his surgeries possible, and for their ongoing assistance to provide his new life - it's wonderful!! On September 23, 2025, Meloni received the best present he could ever get - he was adopted! And his best friend, Teak, got to go, too! Meloni and Teak now live in Upper Knoxford with a wonderful couple who have had several DunRoamin' cats in the past, and these two are very lucky to join their family where they will be loved and cared for forever! We are grateful that these two beautiful cats get to spend the rest of their lives together in such a loving home. Congratulations, Meloni - stay in touch!! Brix came to DunRoamin' on October 1, 2024, from Good Corner where he was an owned cat. Apparently previously healthy, approximately one week earlier he had begun to be unable to walk and he stopped eating. His owner was unable to undertake the costs of medical care for him, so he came to us as a last resort for life.
Brix was born about October 3, 2021. Examination by his vet revealed that he was displaying neurological symptoms, was blind, he had lockjaw, was "knuckling" with his paws and was therefore unable to walk. Due to the medical care he received, near the end of his first week of care, he was eating a bit, his lockjaw had lessened and he could take a few steps on his own. Rabies was ruled out (he had not been vaccinated), but his vet friend had a challenge in front of her - which she will easily meet - he feels better already! He may have a long road ahead of him, but he will get the best of care. He is a sweet little boy who already shows gratitude for the warm bed, plentiful nutritious food, significant decrease in pain and discomfort, and the fact that he is now able to see is AMAZING! As of July, 2025, he was still improving. He can see, run, jump, play and can he ever eat!! He definitely loves his food! He has begun his vaccine protocol, as well. As of July, 2025, Brix is a different cat than he was only a few months ago. He was diagnosed with meningitis, but his vet has taken such good care of him that he is MUCH better! He is in charge of I-Lean's Room - the central room of DunRoamin', and he loves it. He happily rules his kingdom - jumping, running, playing and interacting with his feline and human friends. He is a whole different cat, and he is very grateful! Donations are very much appreciated so that he may continue to receive the medical care he may require in order to become 100% well and join a family as an indoor cat where he will be safe and loved forever. He is a very unique little boy who shows his gratitude on a daily basis. |
| Seymour |
|
|
Seymour came to DunRoamin' from the Fredericton area on March 10, 2025. His owner was moving, could not take him with her, and could not find anyone who wanted a diabetic cat. At this point, his life became at risk, and his only option for life was to come to DunRoamin'.
A visit to his new vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic determined that he had been born about March 27, 2018, He had a bladder infection and is definitely diabetic. As he has had no medication, his diabetes was uncontrolled, and since he didn't feel good, he was very unhappy. He was cranky and not very nice to his new friends, but we understood completely. Seymour was prescribed a diabetic diet and medication and he was soon feeling much better. He is much happier, less stressed and is happy to be cared for by his new servants who can now pat him, play with him and even pick him up! What a difference a little medical assistance can make in a little cat's life! Seymour will soon be 100%, once his diabetes is completely under control. He was prescribed an oral diabetes medication which he happily eats on his food and therefore does not require insulin injections. He displays his gratitude each day for his improving health, and he is becoming a very happy boy who loves his caregivers and is happy to show that love and gratitude! He is particularly grateful to his sponsors who help provide his diabetic food and medication - it has changed his whole world! Seymour looks forward to a new home - preferably similar to his last one. He likes a quiet home, maybe as the only feline friend of senior citizen, to whom he can give all his love. |
| Murphy |
|
|
Murphy came to DunRoamin' on April 23, 2025, from the Plaster Rock area. He had been a stray in the area for quite some time, but he now appeared injured and needed help. He met his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic the very next day. Murphy has cauliflower ears, most likely the result of trauma (fighting) or from scratching and shaking his head due to the huge burden of ear mites he had experience while on his own with no one to care for him.
Murphy's ears were definitely in need of care, as many large rock-like chunks of ear mite debris were cleaned from his ears. Murphy was also diagnosed with a heart murmur and his mouth had a horrible smell - he had one of the worst cases of dental disease in cats his new vet friend had ever seen. Murphy had all his remaining teeth removed that day, and he feels SO much better now! Murphy was also diagnosed as FIV+ - no big deal in this day and age, especially if they are well-cared for, as are all DunRoamin' cats!! Murphy is an exceptionally friendly boy. He loves everyone he meets, can purr up a storm, and just wants to be held and cuddled for hours. He loves to head butt and we can barely enter his room before he is rubbing around our feet or jumping onto the cupboard to get closer - he LOVES it!! He is grateful to have this new, pain-free life, and he can't wait to have his very own forever family. He is a real sweetheart! He is very grateful to his sponsor friends who help provide for his needs - thank you! On October 24, 2025, Murphy was ecstatic to go to his new home in Fredericton where he will be loved by his two adult humans, but especially by his two younger humans who love cuddly cats. Murphy is DEFINITELY that, and will be so spoiled for the rest of his life with all those humans to cuddle! Thank you so much for giving him his dream. Write soon, Murphy!! | Edwin |

Edwin arrived at DunRoamin' on April 24, 2025 from a spay/neuter program from a shelter. Unfortunately, when examined prior to his neuter, numerous wounds which required medical attention were noted which could not be provided by the shelter, so he came to us for help. He had also experienced diarrhea, perhaps from colitis or irritable bowel disease.
Edwin was prescribed a diet of Royal Canin Selected Protein food, a fibre supplement and a course of steroids and has been doing very well. Edwin is neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and he tested negative for FIV and FeLV. On first acquaintance, Edwin can be a little shy, but he very quickly turns into a cute little furball who loves being patted and receiving belly rubs. He is quite active and we often see him running around his room, chasing after any toy he can find - he is very happy to feel so much better and be warm, safe and loved! Edwin was born about January 31, 2022. It's about time he had a safe, loving home. Please get in touch if you agree!! He is very grateful to his sponsors who ensure he gets the medication and prescription food he requires. Thank you so much! |
| Ollie |

|
Ollie came to DunRoamin’ on June 4, 2025, from the Rowena area. He had been experiencing ongoing medical issues for quite some time and was stressed by the presence of other pets in the home, so he was came to us for help as a last resort. Ollie was born about April 12, 2020, and was already neutered upon his arrival. Ollie was assessed by his new vet friend who diagnosed him with hydrocephalus, a condition in which spinal fluid accumulates in the brain. Because of this, he tends to lean to one side when sitting and standing, and he also experiences nystagmus, a rapid and involuntary movement of his eyes from side to side. His vet also diagnosed him with a severe heart murmur.
Because of his medical condition, Ollie may experience seizures, so he will remain with us where we can closely monitor and provide medical care to ensure his health. To date, he is doing well and has made some friends such as Rosco and Brix who keep him company and are very respectful of his differences. Ollie is loving and appears to be happy in his new environment. Thanks to his friends, sponsors and all who have donated to our Ollie's Oasis campaign to ensure that he can receive the best of medical care. This sweet little boy will continue to get all we can give him - he has more than earned our love and respect, and we are grateful to be able to provide him with medical care, a home for as long as he wants it, and all the love we can possibly provide. |

SpartacusJan Chisholm Fredericton, NB Sandy Klein Florenceville, NB Jamie and Michelle Ibson Woodstock, NB Spartacus came to us from the Plaster Rock area on May 2, 2017 where a couple had several cats, but were splitting up and could no longer house them all.

AbelEden Rogers Aroostook, NB Dave Walker Oromocto, NB Tiffany and Shawn Gasse Fredericton, NB Penny McCain Florenceville, NB Abel came back to us on April 20, 2018 from Woodstock where he had been adopted in December 2015.

SplinterPaula Chater Fredericton, NB Jennifer Eagan Perth-Andover, NB Shellie Stewart Fredericton, NB Michael Goodfellow Jacksonville, NB Splinter came to us on May 8, 2018 from Glassville where he'd been part of a colony of feral cats that was trying survive.

| Frazzle |
FrazzleEastwood Play & Learn Daycare Woodstock, NB Kathy & Peter Evans St Almo, NB Jo-Anne London Upper Woodstock, NB Frazzle came to us from Waterville on the morning of May 13, 2019 where she had been found on a porch at 8 am.

| Fivel |
FivelJennifer Eagan Perth-Andover, NB Julie McCain Florenceville, NB Wanda Giberson Oakland, NB Janice McIntosh Woodstock, NB Fivel returned to DunRoamin' on August 1, 2019.
Write soon. He had been hanging around a house for quite some time asking for food and shelter, but no one was able to take him in. He came to DunRoamin' and tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which, as we know, is no big deal these days! Rocky was born about November 27, 2017.

| Gaia |
GaiaMarian Lockey Florenceville, NB Stephanie Klein Russell, Ontario
Thank you! |

| Gilmore |
Gilmore
Cheryl Michaud St Basile, NB Debbie Robinson Lakeville, NB Stephanie Klein Russell, ON Gilmore came to DunRoamin' on June 2, 2021 from Gregg Settlement where he was peeing inappropriately in the home and his owners were unable to provide medical assistance.

| Tanoo |
TanooMeredith Culberson Oromocto, NB Jo-Anne London Upper Woodstock Fredericton Cat Spa Fredericton, NB Tanoo and her kittens, Tamper, Tamara, Tardis, Trax and Tenet all came to DunRoamin' from the Fielding area on November 14, 2021, where they were living alone in and around an abandoned building.

| Dazzler |
DazzlerAnnabella Vallotton Woodstock, NB Jo-Anne London Upper Woodstock, NB Sherri Gerrow Greenfield, NB Michaela Wright Fredericton, NB Jamie & Michelle Ibson Woodstock, NB Dazzler returned to DunRoamin' on November 18, 2021.
Dazzler is very grateful to her Sponsor A Kitty friends who help provide for her medical requirements. Thank you. |

| Crombie |
CrombieWanda Giberson Oakland, NB Christopher Morris Halifax, NS Katie Daigle Woodstock, NB Leisa Bowmaster Perth-Andover, NB Crombie came to DunRoamin' on April 23, 2022 from Crombie Settlement, NB.

| Beau |
BeauWanda Giberson Oakland, NB Laurisa Hickey Hartland, NB Christopher Morris Halifax, NS Sandy Klein Florenceville, NB Beau came to DunRoamin' on June 19, 2022 from the Somerville, NB area where he had been hanging around for a few seasons, but no one could take him in.

| Josie |
JosieDelores McGuigan Upper Kent, NB Jan Chisholm Fredericton, NB

| Kensi |
KensiJo Anne London Upper Woodstock, NB Kathy & Peter Evans St Almo, NB Shelby Shaw Saint John, NB Wanda Giberson Wakefield, NB Kensi came to DunRoamin' on July 6, 2022 from the Woodstock area where her owners could no longer care for her, so her options for life quickly became limited.

| Yaeger |
YaegerChristopher Morris Halifax, NS Tanya Scheib Grafton, NB Jo-Anne London Upper Woodstock, NB Yaeger came to DunRoamin' on January 17, 2023 from Somerville, NB.
He is a beautiful little boy! FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

| Lawrence |
LawrenceVukasin Veselinovic Woodstock, NB Woodstock After School Care Woodstock, NB Catherine McLaughlin Fredericton, NB Lawrence came to us on January 17, 2023 from a local shelter.
We all are! |

| Imogen |
ImogenJan Chisholm Fredericton, NB Diane and Reg Wasson Florenceville, NB Ashley and Tyler Green Grand Falls, NB Imogen returned to DunRoamin' on August 13, 2024 from the New Maryland area to where she had been previously adopted.

| Hoover |
HooverHeather Bishop Perth Andover, NB Viola Mosco Oromocto, NB Hoover returned to DunRoamin' on August 16, 2024.

| Strauss |
Strauss
Bliss and Valerie Burgoyne North View, NB Debi O'Leary Woodstock, NB

| Drew |
DrewJennie Craig Woodstock, NB Jo-Anne London Woodstock, NB Pam Murphy Woodstock, NB Laura Morris Woodstock Drew came to DunRoamin' on August 7, 2024 from a local shelter.

| Teak |
TeakCabatu Family New Maryland, NB Jo Anne London Upper Woodstock, NB Kerstin Drost Holmesvile, NB On July 26, 2024, we accepted Teak and numerous other cats from the Lansdowne area where they were living in a colony.

| Ronald |
RonaldEastwood Play and Learn Centre Woodstock, NB Ashley Brooks Lakeville, NB Jamie and Michelle Ibson Woodstock, NB Ronald came to DunRoamin' on July 18, 2024.

| Rosco |
RoscoGwen Wills Fredericton, NB Marian Lockey Florencevile, NB

| Humphrey |
HumphreyChristienne Stevens Nackawick, NB Shellie Stewart Fredericton, NB
FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

| Meloni |
MeloniCabatu Family New Maryland, NB John Kelley and Family Burton, NB Jamie & Michelle Ibson Woodstock, NB Meloni arrived at DunRoamin' on August 14, 2024 from Oakland, NB, the same location as Juniper, Magnolia, Cedar, Oak, Elm, Teak, Monica, Geller, Joey, Tribbiani, and Marcel.
FeLV+I have FeLV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

| Brix |
BrixJulie Smith Perth Andover, NB Jan Chisholm Fredericton, NB

Seymour

Murphy
FIV+I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you. |

Edwin

Ollie
