Eerie came to DunRoamin' along with her brother Cackle on October 16, 2025 from the Arthurette, NB, area.  As many shelters are completely full or unable to take on additional financial obligations, we were asked to take them, as it would be their last resort.  Who could say no to such tiny, cute and helpless little babies . . .?

Eerie and Cackle were born about September 11, 2025, so were only about four weeks old.  They were cold, underweight and required professional medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for several days during which they received fluids, antibiotics, heat support, syringe feedings around the clock and other medical necessities to ensure they would survive.  This sweet little pair is now with us at DunRoamin' where they were fed by syringe, provided a heated bed and round-the-clock care to ensure they continued to thrive.  Unfortunately, a sibling had passed away before they could get to us, so we are glad this brother and sister now have a chance.  It's cold out there, and without a mom, they would not have made it many more hours.

They were monitored and provided for hour by hour until they were old and healthy enough to eat and survive on their own.  They were then spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites before being ready for adoption.  It was our hope that they might be adopted together - they have fought this fight together since birth!

On December 23, 2025, their dream (and our dream for them) came true when they were adopted together to a new home in Simonds, NB.

Once they were old enough, were spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites, they looked forward to loving homes.  It was our hope that they would be adopted in twos, or to a home that has at least one other cat of similar age so that they will have someone to help burn off that kitten energy that soon displayed itself in full force once they were 100% healthy!

On December 21, 2025, both Midas and his sister Marjorie were adopted to a wonderful home in Red Bridge, NB, where they will live the life they deserve - full of love, care and companionship!  Congratulations to all!  Merry Christmas!  Write soon!!

Mirabel came to DunRoamin' on September 19, 2025.  She had required surgery to remove all her teeth as she had a really bad case of stomatitis, but her caregivers could not undertake the requirements of her recuperation.  As she had nowhere to go, DunRoamin' accepted this beautiful little girl.  We promised to monitor her recovery and ensure she had the best of medical care, and love as well.

Mirabel was born about July 12, 2020 and is a gorgeous little tortie.  Her tongue frequently hangs out, as she is not yet accustomed to having no teeth.  We continued to monitor her status and provide routine medical assessments as she healed.  She is a beautiful little girl, and now she will be pain-free and is looking forward to a family who will love her.  She was eating canned food at first, but still enjoys dry food as well.  We thoroughly enjoyed having this beautiful little girl and watching her progression as she healed.  She is a beautiful little girl!!

On December 20, 2025, Mirabel was chosen as the newest member of a family in Hartland.  She fell in love with their young son and follows him everywhere!  Thanks to this family for giving her a home - she is a very lucky little girl!!

Lux came to DunRoamin' on November 13, 2025 from the Anfield, NB, area.  It appears she may have been a stray for quite some time, according to her poor physical condition, and fortunately she was recognized as someone who required intensive medical care to relieve her situation.  She was immediately accepted by DunRoamin'.

Lux was born about November 13, 2015, so was approximately 10 years old.  Lux only had eight teeth remaining, none of which was in very good condition.  Both eyes had severe corneal ulcers, and one retina was detached - she could not see at all, and was in a very painful condition.  She also had an inflamed bladder and part of her tail was missing.  We are uncertain how she might have survived this long, as her new best vet friend has determined that she has no sight at all.  Surviving outdoors in her condition is pretty close to a miracle, so today another miracle begins:  her double enucleation surgery took place on November 18, as well as extraction of her remaining damaged/infected teeth and she was also spayed.  As of November 20, she was already feeling so much better.  She is eating, purring and much more comfortable.

We have had several cats in our care who required both eyes to be removed (Helen, Kellar and Otto, for example) who went on to live happy, pain-free lives with families who loved them dearly.  Donations to help cover surgery costs for Lux's dental extractions and double enucleations are more than welcome.  Lux is a quiet, beautiful, loving little girl who is so very grateful to be in a soft, warm bed with a constant source of soft food to fill her belly.  She spends most of her time eating, then falling into a contented sleep, knowing she is 100% safe.  She and Josie became friends also!  Her health improved at an amazing rate and we intend to make sure the remainder of her life is memorable and happy for her.  All assistance is greatly appreciated - both by us and by little Lux.

On December 20, 2025, Lux received the best Christmas gift EVER!  She is now an official family member of a very caring and compassionate family from Dalhousie Junction, where she will be spoiled beyond her dreams.  Thank you for giving her a family of her very own.  Please stay in touch and send us lots of photos!

Kami came to DunRoamin' on July 10, 2025 from Woodstock where she had been surrendered when her owners were unable to care for her broken left hind leg.  Thanks to many generous supporters, she was able to undergo surgery to repair it and was soon doing very well.  She was born about May 30, 2024.

Kami is a very sweet, quiet and affectionate little girl who loves people.  She underwent kennel rest until approximately the end of July.  Kami developed a site on her shoulder which bothered her, so her vet took a sample which determined she had a form of dermatitis.  She was prescribed medication and was soon doing very well.

Kami is a quiet, sweet and interactive little girl who is grateful to have the temporary home and medical care she has received.  She looks forward to being chosen to join a loving family where she will be safe and loved forever.  On November 14, 2025, Kami was chosen as a foster kitty by a family who has fostered several of our cats over many years . . .

. . . and on December 2, 2025, it became official - they have decided she will be a permanent part of their family and they can't possibly give her up!  Congratulations to you and your new human and feline family, Kami - send lots of photos!!  We are SO happy for you!  You will have the best life EVER!

Bronte came to us on June 6, 2019 from the Oakland area where she had been found to be in poor physical condition and obviously required help.  Bronte was born about December 8, 2018.  Her kittens, Rosamund, Rochester and Eyre also came with her.  We thank the person who discovered this colony all alone and brought them for help.  Bronte is a little nervous of dogs, so would prefer a home without dogs.  She is playful, loving and energetic.  She'd like to thank her foster families for all they've done for her.  She can't wait to go to a home!  As of October 7, 2019, she was fostered with a wonderful lady in Bath.

On November 28, 2025, Bronte was officially adopted by her foster family.  Congratulations, Bronte!  Send lots of photos!

Gretchen and her sister Rosalita arrived at DunRoamin' on August 2, 2019.  They had originally come from the Edmundston area where they had been found in an empty apartment.  Fortunately, they had no extreme health problems, but no one wanted them and they were scheduled for euthanasia.  Gretchen was born about February 1, 2019, so was only a kitten.  She was initially timid, of course, after what she'd been through, but she was soon doing so much better with lots of love and care.  She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is a beautiful little girl who dreams of a family to grow up in. 

On October 2, 2019, Gretchen and her sister Rosalita were fostered by a very kind lady in Bath.  We are very grateful, as we were completely full at DunRoamin'.  We appreciate the help very much and Gretchen enjoys the love and attention of her foster family - both feline and human!!

On November 28, 2025, Gretchen was officially adopted by her foster mother.  Congratulations, Gretchen!  You got it made!!

Astral came to DunRoamin' on September 18, 2025 from Woodstock when her owner was no longer able to care for her.  She had been peeing inappropriately in her home and required medical care they could not provide.  Astral was born about October 20, 2020 and is a sweet little girl.  Examination by her new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic revealed that she had crystals in her urine which indicated she required a prescription urinary diet.

Astral received all medical care required and was soon fully vaccinated.  She was already spayed when she arrived and received all parasite control medications, as is our protocol.  Astral is a beautiful long-haired little girl who is very happy to have company, and will make someone a very good friend!

On November 22, 2025, Astral was very happy to learn that a nice lady had met her and fallen in love.  She is very happy to provide the prescription food that Astral requires to remain healthy, and is looking forward to many years of loving companionship from this beautiful little girl.  Congratulations, Astral!!  Don't forget to write!!

Kindness came to DunRoamin' from the Perth-Andover area on August 4, 2025, along with her sisters Faith, Sincerity, Integrity and Courage.  They had been found in a cloth bag on the lawn of a lady early in the morning.  They had a large number of fleas and were tiny and underweight, but thankfully they now had help to survive.

Kindness was born about July 8, 2025.  As her sister, Faith, was diagnosed with Feline Panleukopenia, she and her other siblings required a six-week quarantine during which they were given a warm bed, the best of food and all the medication they required to ensure they were safe and would grow up healthy.  They were fed by syringe every few hours around the clock for several weeks to ensure their survival.  Their quarantine period ended in mid-September, and they began on their way to be eligible for adoption.

As these beautiful little kittens received the best of love and care, they were all very social, loving, trusting and playful.  We looked forward to the day they may go to loving homes.  As they have only had each other for so long, we hoped that they might be adopted with a sibling to keep them company.  They deserved the best!

Clouseau came to DunRoamin' on October 15, 2025 from the NB SPCA.  He had been a stray found wandering who appeared to have some issues, and the people who found him could not help him.  As the NB SPCA had no other place for him to go, we were his last resort.

Clouseau was born about October 10, 2024, and is a very nice boy.  He had a nice coat and was in decent physical shape when examined by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He is very friendly and grateful for a warm bed and nutritious food.  Clouseau was diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition in which the cerebellum (the part of the brain responsible for co-ordination and balance) is underdeveloped. 

In his particular case, Clouseau is awkward and sometimes staggers and may even fall over if excited.  He has a stiff, awkward gait, but is otherwise fine.  This condition may result from in-utero issues - perhaps his mom had panleukopenia during her pregnancy or an infection or trauma to the fetus.  It is not contagious, there is no medical treatment for it, nor does it worsen with time.  Clouseau is who he is - a little awkward, maybe, but the sweetest little boy you would ever want to meet.   

Clouseau may benefit from minor environmental changes - for example, he gets better traction on non-slip surfaces like rugs or carpets, and he will need a litter box with a lower entrance so that he may easily enter.  As with all our adopted cats, he must be an indoor cat only.

Clouseau is healthy, happy and will be ready to go to the right home near the end of November.  In the meantime, he will join our Sponsor A Kitty program for anyone who would like to help support this little guy.  He is a real sweetheart!

On November 16, 2025, Clouseau was very happy to learn that he had been chosen to join a family in the Peel area where he will be well spoiled with lots of attention, love and care.  He is a cuddler, so will enjoy this family immensely.  They are familiar with his condition and are very confident that he will be safe, secure, spoiled and loved forever in his new home.  Congratulations, Clouseau!  Write soon!

Murphy came to DunRoamin' on April 23, 2025, from the Plaster Rock area.  He had been a stray in the area for quite some time, but he now appeared injured and needed help.  He met his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic the very next day.  Murphy has cauliflower ears, most likely the result of trauma (fighting) or from scratching and shaking his head due to the huge burden of ear mites he had experience while on his own with no one to care for him. 

Murphy's ears were definitely in need of care, as many large rock-like chunks of ear mite debris were cleaned from his ears.  Murphy was also diagnosed with a heart murmur and his mouth had a horrible smell - he had one of the worst cases of dental disease in cats his new vet friend had ever seen.  Murphy had all his remaining teeth removed that day, and he feels SO much better now!  Murphy was also diagnosed as FIV+ - no big deal in this day and age, especially if they are well-cared for, as are all DunRoamin' cats!!

Murphy is an exceptionally friendly boy.  He loves everyone he meets, can purr up a storm, and just wants to be held and cuddled for hours.  He loves to head butt and we can barely enter his room before he is rubbing around our feet or jumping onto the cupboard to get closer - he LOVES it!!  He is grateful to have this new, pain-free life, and he can't wait to have his very own forever family.  He is a real sweetheart!  He is very grateful to his sponsor friends who help provide for his needs - thank you!

On October 24, 2025, Murphy was ecstatic to go to his new home in Fredericton where he will be loved by his two adult humans, but especially by his two younger humans who love cuddly cats.  Murphy is DEFINITELY that, and will be so spoiled for the rest of his life with all those humans to cuddle!  Thank you so much for giving him his dream.  Write soon, Murphy!!

Miso came to DunRoamin' on August 21, 2025 when she was surrendered after being found alone at about only two weeks of age (born about June 23, 2025), far too young to be without her mother.  Her new foster family bottle fed her and tended to her every need, watching her grow into the feisty calico she is today.

Miso loves other cats and even dogs!  She has loads of kitten energy, but when she's ready to settle down, she appreciates a long, purr-filled snuggle on the couch with her humans.  She lets out little trills when she is happy to see you, which melts our hearts.

Miso would be a great addition to any family, but would need another four-legged companion to keep her company and tire her out!  She will be ready for a permanent home in mid-to-late October, after she has been spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites, as is our routine protocol for these little rescues!  She thanks her foster family for all the love and care she has received, and she looks forward to a permanent loving home.

On October 25, 2025, Miso was adopted by a loving family in Woodstock where she will have her own kids, two retrievers and a kitten her own age with whom to run, play, wrestle and cuddle.  Congratulations, Miso.  We look forward to seeing photos of you with your new family!

Courage was the smallest of her family by far.  As she was less than four weeks old upon her arrival, she required frequent feedings, including every three-to-four hours around the clock, to ensure her health.  As of the beginning of September, she was still required to be fed by syringe approximately every four hours, and was slowly gaining ground, although she was still behind her siblings in size.  As of mid-September, she is eating on her own, and requires less encouragement to eat and grow strong.  She is playful and affectionate - a very grateful little girl.

As these beautiful little kittens have received the best of love and care since their arrival at DunRoamin', they are all very social, loving, trusting and playful.  We look forward to finding them loving homes.  As they have only had each other for so long, we hope that they may be adopted in pairs so that they will always have family for company.  They deserve the best!

Clover came to DunRoamin' on April 21, 2025 from the Woodstock area where her safety was a large concern due to dogs that threatened her safety.   Her new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic determined that she was in very good health, but was not spayed or vaccinated.  She is now spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and all of her vaccinations and parasite control are up to date.  This little girl was born about April 24, 2021.

Clover is a petite girl with a huge personality.  She likes attention and affection on her own terms, and is not afraid to let you know when she's had enough, usually with a quick swat to the hand!  For this reason, we feel Clover would do best in a home without young children.  She may prefer to be an only cat or have the company of a quiet female companion in a quiet household.

On October 10, 2025, Clover was adopted to a wonderful family who had met her on several occasions and could not get her out of their mind!  She now lives in Halifax, NS, with her family which includes a couple of young children who love her - and she gives that back in spades!  She has been waiting for this her whole life!  Thanks to her wonderful family for choosing her and for driving all this way to let her join her family!  Write soon, Clover!

Fivel returned to DunRoamin' on August 1, 2019.  He had originally come to us on June 5, 2015 from Florenceville where he had been found wandering in a yard.  He had a lacerated right hind leg, a severe infestation of ear mites, bleeding ears and infected puncture wounds on both front legs. He needed help and we were grateful to be able to provide it. 

On December 15, 2015, Fivel was adopted to a home in Peel.  Unfortunately, he developed crystals in his urine which clogged his urethra, ensuring urine could not leave his body.  This is very serious.  As his owners were unable to provide care at this time, Fivel was returned to DunRoamin' and received medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where he got exactly what he required to become healthy again. 

Fivel is a beautiful boy!  On August 6, 2019, he underwent surgery to remove several tiny stones stuck in his urethra.  This surgery, which included a perineal urethrostomy, allowed the stones to be removed/passed and he was quickly doing better.   Due to the fact that his body can make these stones again if he eats any other food, Fivel must eat a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to ensure he does not form stones or block again.  We have had many dozens of cats on this diet and have had not a single recurrence - as long as they eat Urinary S/O food, they're perfectly fine! Fivel is currently in our Cats For Seniors Program where he lives happily with his family.  He is grateful to his sponsors who provide for his prescription food and routine care.

On September 28, 2025, Fivel returned from his Cats For Seniors home.  On October 3, 2025, he was adopted by a family member of his Cats For Seniors person and he now lives in Fredericton.  We are so grateful for the time he spent with his loving Cats For Seniors mother.  Thank you so much.  We are grateful that Fivel gets to stay in the family.  Congratulations, Fivel.  Write soon.

Dexter came to DunRoamin' on September 30, 2025 from the Florenceville area as a stray who had been hanging around for several days and now appeared to have an injured hind leg and also had burdocks in his tail.  As no family could be found and no one could care for him, he came to us.

Examination by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic revealed that he had fleas, was not neutered and his right front paw had an injury which required antibiotics to heal.  Dexter enjoyed his ever-present food, warm bed and the care he received from his new DunRoamin' friends.

On October 2, 2025, it was learned that Dexter was an owned cat who had escaped from his home.  He was returned to his family where he will be neutered and kept indoors where he is safe.  It was nice to meet you Dexter, but stay home!!

Wookie came to DunRoamin' from the Woodstock area.  He was reported to be not doing well as he had a hard belly, was constipated and had not gone to the bathroom for quite some time.  His rescuers were concerned for him but could not provide medical care.

Wookie was accepted by DunRoamin' and examined by his new best vet friend at the Florenceville Vet Clinic where it was determined that he was in decent health, although his canine teeth were worn.

Wookie was placed on a healthy diet, given a warm bed, was neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and fully vaccinated.  Wookie is a long-haired grey tabby who loves people.  He is laid-back, affectionate and loving.  Having been born about July 3, 2021, he has been waiting for someone to give him a family for awhile, and is looking forward to making his very own family very happy!

On July 26, 2025, Wookie went to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup - A Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he hoped to meet his new family!  Come check out this cafe - it's AWESOME!  Food and drinks are great, and the staff is fantastic.  And you can get to meet and interact with some cats, too!

On September 27, 2025, Wookie was elated to be chosen as the newest family member of a young couple in Fredericton!  And as an added bonus, his godparents are the adopters of Cobble, Quentin and Quiz from 2022!  They live close by, so they will have lots of company!  Thanks for adopting this little boy and for giving him a loving extended family as well!  Congratulations to everyone!!

Vincent came to DunRoamin' from the Jacksonville area on June 15, 2025 where he was observed to have an injury to his eye.  Examination by his new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic revealed that he had most probably been born without his left eye.  However, his eye was now irritated and had a discharge, so he was provided with medications and his eye socket was sutured shut to ensure it could not happen again.

Vincent's humerus bones in his legs are also abnormal - smaller than they should be, and his left elbow appears to be not in the proper spot, although there does not appear to be any evidence of past trauma.  X-rays were unable to confirm if he was born that way or if there had been trauma in his early life, and he currently shows no signs of discomfort, but he is MUCH too busy purring in gratitude for his new-found loving home.  Vincent was born about June 16, 2024, but he acts more like a kitten.  He is such a playful boy!

Vincent is an exceptionally sweet boy who purrs the moment he sees a human.  He is so very grateful to be warm, safe, have lots of nutritious food and have loving servants at his beck and call.   He has received our routine intake protocol (vaccines, neuter, FIV/FeLV tests, parasite control, etc) and we are hoping that he might be fortunate enough to be chosen as a loving companion for that perfect human in the very near future.  If you are looking for a loving, affectionate, attentive friend, he's your boy!  He is a sweetheart!

On September 26, 2025, Vincent received the best gift ever when he was adopted by a nice young lady from Oromocto who has a cat, Rascal, who is similar in age and also has some issues with the bone growth in her front paws.  She, also, shows no discomfort or distress - she is just different, like Vincent!!  These two will become fast friends, and we know they will be spoiled forever!  Thanks for adopting this sweet little boy!  We look forward to hearing from you all soon!

On July 26, 2024, we accepted Teak and numerous other cats from the Lansdowne area where they were living in a colony.  All were skinny and had an excessive number of fleas.  Teak, born about August 1, 2023, was pregnant and very skinny.

Teak was very grateful, loving and affectionate to her new servants.  All her medical issues were addressed and she soon completed her medical protocol which included spay, full vaccines, parasite control and testing for FIV and FeLV. 

Teak tested positive for FeLV.  Teak is very bonded to her friend Meloni who also tested positive for FeLV and they cuddle, play, eat, headbutt and spend all their time very close to each other.  They actually walk shoulder to shoulder most of the time!  It was our hope that they might be adopted together to a home where they might experience what life should be:  full of love, food, affection, warmth, shelter and family.  FeLV+ cats can live long and happy, healthy lives.   

On September 23, 2025, we are happy to announce that Teak joined her new family in Upper Knoxford.  Her new mother has been with DunRoamin' for many years and has been a wonderful home to several DunRoamin' strays.  We are happy to know that Teak will have such a loving home and family, and also - Meloni got to go along with her!!!  These two are best friends who cuddle, sleep and walk shoulder to shoulder together.  We are SO glad to see them go to a great home.  Congratulations, Teak and Meloni!!  Thanks to your new family!  Send lots of photos!!

Meloni arrived at DunRoamin' on August 14, 2024 from Oakland, NB, the same location as Juniper, Magnolia, Cedar, Oak, Elm, Teak, Monica, Geller, Joey, Tribbiani, and Marcel.  This is a colony of cats that we have been doing our best to spay/neuter so they do not develop into an even larger, more sick feline community.  However, as cats are continually dropped off/brought in, it is yet another huge and difficult task for a rescue to accomplish.

Meloni was born about December 15, 2019 and is a very sweet little boy.  He tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) but is very healthy - these days it is not such a big issue, especially if they have a good life, good diet, good medical care and lots of human love.  Please read up on FeLV - it's no big deal, especially if they are safe, warm, vaccinated and receive a nutritious diet.  They can live very long and happy lives! 

Meloni is a sweetheart who loves his friend Teak (also FeLV+) and would love to spend the rest of his life with her in a warm, loving family.  Both Meloni and Teak are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Their lives are almost complete - they just need a loving family.  Melonie and Teak are bonded - often sleeping together, walking shoulder to shoulder and head butting each other with affection.  They are a joy to experience, and would love to join a family and share this love.

On October 25, 2024, Meloni underwent a total ear canal resection and ventral bulla osteotomy which is a surgery to remove an infected area to ensure that infections do not have a place to grow in the ear.  He was quickly back to his normal self and much more comfortable, thanks to his surgeon at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.   He also underwent dental surgery to remove some bad teeth in early 2025, and he is now 100%!  He looks forward to that loving family who will soon be his!  He is grateful to his Sponsor A Kitty supporters who helped make his surgeries possible, and for their ongoing assistance to provide his new life - it's wonderful!!

On September 23, 2025, Meloni received the best present he could ever get - he was adopted!  And his best friend, Teak, got to go, too!  Meloni and Teak now live in  Upper Knoxford with a wonderful couple who have had several DunRoamin' cats in the past, and these two are very lucky to join their family where they will be loved and cared for forever!  We are grateful that these two beautiful cats get to spend the rest of their lives together in such a loving home.  Congratulations, Meloni - stay in touch!!

Tanoo and her kittens, Tamper, Tamara, Tardis, Trax and Tenet all came to DunRoamin' from the Fielding area on November 14, 2021, where they were living alone in and around an abandoned building.  The location was cold, provided little shelter and even less food.  Tanoo was born about November 18, 2019, and her babies were only about six weeks old when found.  All kittens were brought back to good health, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They have all since found homes.

Tanoo is a beautiful little girl who was initially very timid, as she had apparently never known the safety and security of a loving indoor home nor a human family.  She is still slightly timid and it takes a minute for her to learn to trust a new person, but she has come a very long way and is doing well.  She especially likes men, except for her young servant, Sophie, whom she also adores.

We hope that Tanoo can find a loving family who will give her a warm home where she can spend the rest of her life.  She was born about November 18, 2019 and we're hoping she gets the opportunity to know a nice warm lap and the joy of playing with a computer mouse!  It may take her a few days to acclimatize in a new environment, but she would definitely love to have a home with a human or two, and maybe even one more cat. 

On September 21, 2025, Tanoo's dream (and our dream for her) finally came true.  Tanoo now lives in Fredericton with a very nice couple who also adopted her best friend, Tremble, on the very same day.  These two best friends will always get to snuggle, play and live together forever.  We are SO grateful that they both will have a loving home and will be together forever.  Thank you!!  Write soon, Tanoo, we will all miss you!

Tremble came to DunRoamin' on July 19, 2023 from the Gregg Settlement area where he was a stray who had been hanging around for about a year.  It was eventually noticed that he had become sick and injured, and as no one else could help him, he became DunRoamin'.

Tremble, born about September 19, 2022, was intact, thin, dehydrated, timid and very wobbly on his hind end to the point that he kept falling down and could not support himself to walk.  X-rays revealed no fractures or cause for this.  Tremble was provided the best of plentiful nutritious food, a warm, soft bed and all the medical care he required.

Tremble was neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He was very happy to join more DunRoamin' cats, as he appears to enjoy their company immensely, while also enjoying a cuddle from his new humans.  He lived with approximately a dozen DunRoamin' cats, and he loved each and every one of them, regardless of age, personality or gender.  He is SUCH a sweet boy!  He particularly loved his friend Tanoo, a beautiful tortie he met while here at DunRoamin'.

Upon the recommendation of his new vet friend, Tremble underwent physiotherapy for his weak hind end, as he could barely support himself.  We are happy to report that he is now walking very well.  He sometimes may "stagger" slightly, but is doing extremely well.  He loves other cats, loves his toys, loves his humans and is very grateful for his new life.  His best wish now was to have a family of his very own. 

On September 21, 2025, Tremble's best wish came true when he was adopted by a very loving couple in Fredericton.  Tremble will now enjoy the bliss of his very own home, bed, chair, toys and humans which he now happily shares with his best friend Tanoo, who was also adopted at the same time.  Tanoo and Tremble will now be together forever in the best place possible!  Congratulations to you both and to your family.  Please write soon.  You are both very special and we will miss you, but are SO pleased that you finally have the home and family for which you have waited so long.  You deserve the best, and you got it now!!

Bungee came to DunRoamin' on July 9, 2025 from Richmond Corner where she had been found on a lawn in the pouring rain.  She was all by herself - no other cats were located, and she was just a baby.  She would not have survived on her own.

Bungee was introduced to her new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where she was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection (URI) and several self-inflicted injuries from a very bad case of ear mites which had made her very painful and uncomfortable.  This issue was immediately addressed.

Bungee is a very sweet little girl who purrs immediately upon seeing a human - sometimes she just lays in her bed and purrs in gratitude!  She is very grateful for her kitten bed designed and made by our friends Judy and Rod - our kittens love them!  Born about June 7, 2025, Bungee was only about a month old, and much too young to be on her own.  She was provided with medications and, once old and strong enough, was spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She looks forward to the day when she can have a family of her own and can forget about having been cold, wet and alone.  She deserves the best of homes and family!

Bungee is very grateful to be fostered by her new best DunRoamin' friend, who also fosters her friend Darco.  They get along great, and are very lucky to have their foster mother who spoils them every single day!

All kittens were soon spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  As they have all grown up in a warm, furry, purring pile of love and have always had others to play with, preference will be given to homes where they might be adopted in pairs or to homes where there is already a cat of similar age and energy level.  They are all very friendly, loving and very, very energetic. 

On September 6, 2025, Porter was ecstatic to learn that she and her sister Pagett had been adopted by a very nice lady from New Maryland.  Porter and Pagett will be loved and spoiled for the rest of their lives!  Thanks for keeping these beautiful little girls together - they will give you joy forever!  Congratulations to all!

Aura came to DunRoamin' on June 19, 2025, from the Oakland area along with three other cats - Mojo, Serenity and Spirit.  Aura was born about June 19, 2024 and was pregnant.

Aura had a very large number of ear mites which were treated immediately - they are uncomfortable!  She was happy to receive a nutritious meal and a warm, soft bed.  She was soon spayed, provided with parasite control, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV.    She is a very sweet little girl with a quiet personality and we are sure she would love to be an indoor-only cat where she will be safe and loved for the rest of her life. 

On June 19, 2025, Aura went to The Purrfect Cup - A Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she will spend some time with her friends while she awaits that perfect family to invite her to join them.  Please drop in for a coffee and a snack - the place is AWESOME!!  We highly recommend them!

On September 6, 2025, Aura, now renamed Flora, joined her new family which includes DunRoamin's Morris (now renamed August) in Fredericton where she will spend the rest of her life being spoiled and loved beyond measure!  Congratulations, Flora!  Send lots of photos of both you and August - you are very lucky little ones!!

Fidget came to DunRoamin' on July 31, 2025 from the Stickney area where he was found on the side of a road where no houses were close by.  A check of the surrounding areas found no other cats - perhaps he was dropped there, all alone, to fend for himself.  He was just a baby.

Fidget was examined by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was found that he had ear mites, fleas and was thin, but was in otherwise good shape.  He is very lucky, as vehicles and predators are frequent in the area in which he was found.  He'd like to thank his rescuer for picking him up, therefore ensuring his health and safety - he's just a baby!  His birth date is estimated at May 8, 2025.

Fidget is a sweetheart.  It appears he may have experienced humans before, or maybe he is just extremely grateful for the kindness of the ones who now care for him.  He purrs, head butts and inhales his food with gratitude.  The warm, soft bed is appreciated too!  He hopes for a home once he is neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Once this is done, he's good to go!  He can't wait for that special person to welcome him into a loving home where he will be safe forever!

Nemo came to DunRoamin' on February 3, 2025 from the Bath area where he and his three brothers had no place to live.  They were born about October 6, 2024 and are sweet, playful, energetic little guys.

All four kittens  were soon neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They are ready for homes and are looking forward to it!  Perhaps they can find a home with one of their brothers, or a home that has a cat (or two) of similar age so that their energy levels match as they run, play, chase and cuddle each other!

On August 16, 2025, Nemo was very excited to have been chosen by a young couple in Oromocto to join their family.  He will be a new brother for Kelpie, a beautiful little girl of similar age and personality, and they will be best friends!  We are very happy for you, Nemo!  Send lots of photos and tell us all about your new home and family!  Congratulations!!

Miriam came to DunRoamin' on May 20, 2025, from the Beechwood area after she and her sisters Margot and Mindy had been rescued from a wood pile on a rainy day - soaking wet, cold and hungry.  Miriam, Margot and Mindy were born around March 27, 2025, so were only about 8 weeks old and were on their own.  A check by their new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic found that, apart from being cold and having bellies full of worms, they were in good health.

Miriam and her sisters were treated for parasites and provided with our complete vaccine protocol.  They are now spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, and received their final vaccines in mid-July.  They are excited to join loving homes where they will be safe inside and spoiled rotten.  They would prefer to be adopted with a sibling or to a home that has a cat of similar age and energy level.

On July 26, 2025, Miriam and her sister Mindy went to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup where they hoped to meet their new family!

"Spirit" came to DunRoamin' from Oakland on June 19, 2025, along with her mom, Serenity, and friends Mojo and Aura.  All cats had been part of a colony which we have been attempting to help by spaying/neutering/finding homes  over the past several years.

Spirit was soon doing well, thanks to her mom and the efforts of her human caregiver who sometimes were required to syringe feed her to ensure she was gaining adequate weight in a timely manner.  Her mom is taking great care of her, and we are happy to report that she is doing well.  She will join her friends Bungee and Darco for kitten socialization until she is old enough to join a family of her own.

On July 30, 2025, Spirit was chosen by a family in Wilmot, NB, as their newest member.  Her friend, Darco, who is only two days younger than her, was also chosen to join the family.  Congratulations to both of you!  We are very happy for you and your new family!!

Darco came to DunRoamin' on July 7, 2025 from the Hartland area where he had been found all by himself on the side of the road.  No other cats were located.  Born about June 7, 2025, he was only about a month old, much too young to be away from his mom who would feed and care for him for at least another four weeks.

Darco was immediately examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was determined that he had a very bad case of upper respiratory infection (URI).  He was placed on injectable antibiotics and prescribed a high-quality diet to help him overcome his URI and grow up to be strong and healthy.

Darco is a very sweet little kitten.  He was soon eating Royal Canin Kitten Food to help him grow - he loves it.  He also loves his new bed which was designed and made by our friends Rod and Judy - he is very grateful.  H eventually did not require medication and is working on becoming a strong little boy.  He is extremely affectionate and shows his gratitude for this new life he has received by purring and headbutting each of his human servants.  He opens his mouth to meow his thanks, but no sound has escaped as of yet, but his loud purring has made up for that!

Darco received all the medical and nutritional support he required and was soon healthy again.  He no longer required his servants to feed him by syringe when he did not feel well enough to eat on his own, and it looks like his eye might be okay thanks to the four-times-daily medication prescribed by his best vet friend.  Once he was 100% healthy, he was neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.   He is a very sweet and grateful little boy!

On July 30, 2025, Darco was chosen by a family in Wilmot to be their newest member.  In addition, his little friend Spirit, born about the same time, was also invited to join the family.  Congratulations to both!!

Derek came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2025 from the Bannon area where he was a stray who was allegedly very boney and hungry enough to be eating peanuts from a box stored in a barn. 

Derek was quickly assessed by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where he was determined to be healthy.  He had ear mites and was missing one tooth, but was otherwise okay.  Derek was born about June 26, 2024.

Derek is a 100% sweetheart.  He LOVES people.  He will climb into our arms and onto our shoulders to get all the love and attention he possibly can.  He is very grateful to be warm, safe, fed and have attentive staff to provide for his every wish.  He will be ready for a home in mid-July.  He can't wait!

On July 26, 2025, Derek was adopted into a wonderful home in Chipman where he will live happily ever after with two other DunRoamin' cats - Squirt and Dwayne.  Congratulations, Derek!  Hi, Squirt!  Hi, Dwayne!

Moxie came to us on February 11, 2025 from the Plaster Rock area, another cat who had no one to care for her.  She had been hanging around the area for about two months, but it's very cold out there!

Moxie was born about February 14, 2024 - a Valentine's girl, and she certainly knows how to love!  She was soon accepting and displaying affection, and her beautiful green eyes radiate with gratitude for the love, warmth, soft bed and plentiful food she now enjoys.  She is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is very affectionate, and she does a great butt elevator!   She hopes for a new family very soon!

On July 19, 2025, Moxie's dreams came true when she was adopted by a wonderful young lady in Fredericton where she will be spoiled for the rest of her life.  Congratulations, Moxie!  Write soon!  Send pictures!!

"Margot" came to DunRoamin' on May 20, 2025, from the Beechwood area after she and her sisters Miriam and Mindy had been rescued from a wood pile on a rainy day - soaking wet, cold and hungry.  Miriam, Margot and Mindy were born around March 27, 2025, so were only about 8 weeks old and were on their own.  A check by their new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic found that, apart from being cold and having bellies full of worms, they were in good health.

Margot and her sisters were treated for parasites and started on their vaccine protocol.  They are now spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, and received their final vaccines in mid-July.  They are excited to join loving homes where they will be safe inside and spoiled rotten.  They would prefer to be adopted with a sibling or to a home that has a cat of similar age and energy level.

On July 19, 2025, Margot was elated to join her new family in Meductic where she will have a young feline sister with whom to play, run, cuddle and sleep. Congratulations!!

"Kayla" came to DunRoamin’ on May 26, 2025, from the Florenceville area.  She had been a stray in the area for about three weeks and was being fed by a caring lady.  Kayla was born about September 29, 2024, so was only about eight months old.  Being so young, she would not know how to survive outside, and the dangers were too many, so she was brought to us for help.

Kayla was examined by her new vet friend who determined that she was in good health, thanks in no small part to the lady who had been trying to help look after her.  Kayla was treated for parasites and started on her vaccine protocol.  She has been spayed and will receive her final vaccines near the end of June, when she will be ready to leave our care for a permanent home.

Kayla is a very sweet little girl who is looking forward to her very own forever home.  She loves attention and we often find her sleeping on her back with her legs outstretched.  She looks forward to meeting her new family soon!

Hoover returned to DunRoamin' on August 16, 2024.  He had originally come to us on April 19, 2024 from Woodstock where he, his mom Henrietta and siblings Hayden and Heist had been dropped on the doorstep of someone who could not cope with cats.  He was adopted on July 8, 2023 and did well, but was subsequently required to eat a special diet to ensure he did not block.  His owners were unable to keep him on that diet, so he returned to us where it was learned that he was badly blocked (urine could not leave his body).  Hoover was born about February 19, 2023 and is the SWEETEST boy you will ever meet!

Hoover required a urinary catheter to be inserted into his ureter in order to be unblocked.  He was placed on IV fluids and had his bloodwork checked, which was fine.  He was soon SO much better!  Hoover requires a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food which will guarantee that he will never block again, so he will be perfectly fine (and perfect!) forever.  We have had dozens of cats on this diet, and there has never, ever been a recurrence, as long as they eat that diet! 

On July 12, 2025, Hoover met a family from Woodstock.  They already have one cat of similar age and personality who is also eating Royal Canin Urinary S/O food, so Hoover is a perfect match for their home.  Congratulations, Hoover!  Have a great life!  Don't forget to write!!

"Pippa" entered into DunRoamin’s care on April 28, 2025.  She was a stray in the Woodstock area and it was reported that she had an injury near the base of her tail (this turned out to be some tree sap stuck to her fur).  She was also heavily pregnant.  Pippa was only a year old, having been born around May 1, 2024. 

Just three hours after her arrival, Pippa went into labour.  She was exhausted and we needed to help her by cutting the umbilical cords for four kittens and rubbing another vigorously in a towel to get him breathing again.  By 8 pm, Pippa had delivered six little babies.  She has three sons:  Pilot (grey/white), Pivot (black/white) and Panther (black); and three daughters: Purrty (grey/white), Porter (black/white) and Pagett (black). 

Pippa is a very attentive mom and takes very good care of her kittens, who are growing like bad weeds!  As of the beginning of July, Pippa is weaned from her kittens, spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is a talkative, friendly and cuddly girl who can’t wait to have her very own forever family.

Her kittens will be ready to leave in early August.  They are used to always having someone to play and cuddle with, so preference will be given to homes where they can stay in pairs or where they can join a family that already has a cat of similar age and energy level.

On July 6, 2025, Pippa was very excited to leave for her new home in Fredericton.  She is very grateful for the care she and her family received and will now live happily ever after with a loving family of her very own.  Write soon, Pippa!  We will all miss you!   

"Morris" came to DunRoamin' on June 6, 2025, from the Carlow area.  He was seen in the area the day before with an eye injury, so was brought to us for help.  He was assessed by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary  Clinic who found that he had an upper respiratory infection and a badly-infected left eye. 

That very afternoon, Morris underwent surgery to have his eye removed and was neutered.  He has begun his vaccine protocol and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  Morris is only a year old, having been born about June 6, 2024.

Morris is an extremely affectionate little boy.  He loves being held and cuddled, and he makes a cute chirping noise when he's excited to see us!  He is excited to find his new family and is looking forward to being spoiled - just like he deserves!

On July 1st 2025 Morris found a forever home in Fredericton. Congrats!

On June 28, 2025, Vito was very excited to join his new family in Fredericton, and was also elated to know that his brother Vortex was adopted too!  They will spend the rest of their lives together being spoiled - just as they deserve!  Congratulations, boys!

 "Alistair" came to us on February 8, 2024, from Lower Brighton.  Born about February 8, 2011, he was very skinny, weighing less than 6.5 lbs.   He had some minor arthritis in his knees, but does not require medication yet - just monitoring to make sure he is not stiff or painful as he gets older.  He had a broken canine and quite bad gingivitis, which means that he was booked for a dental examination with his new vet friend.
 
Alistair has received all his vaccines, was treated for parasites and his senior blood work displayed no issues whatsoever.  Alistair also tested negative for both Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  He is a sweet boy who is hoping for a warm, safe, loving and affectionate home to live out the second half of his life.  He is a real sweetheart!   He would like to be an only cat or maybe have an older friend - he's not too keen on the young, energetic ones, but does certainly enjoy companionship - feline and/or human!! 

On June 16, 2025, Alistair was very happy to be officially adopted into his new home in Florenceville-Bristol where he will have lots of friends and lots of company.  He is a very happy little boy!  Congratulations, Alistair - write soon!!  And send pictures!!

"Panther" was born at DunRoamin' on April 28, 2025, along with his five siblings.  His mom, Pippa, was surrendered to us at 1 pm as it was reported she had an injury near the base of her tail, but that turned out to be tree sap stuck to her fur.  At 4 pm, she began to give birth to sons Pilot, Pivot, Panther, and daughters Purrty, Porter and Pagett.  All kittens have had the best of care and socialization and are cute, playful and affectionate little ones!  As of June 16, 2025, all kittens are healthy, energetic, climbing, playing, wrestling, chasing toys and eating dry and wet food on their own!

All kittens will be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites prior to leaving for new homes.  As they have all grown up in a warm, furry, purring pile of love and have always had others to play with, preference will be given to homes where they might be adopted in pairs or to homes where there is already a cat of similar age and energy level. 
On June 16, 2025, Panther was very happy to learn that he had been invited to join a very nice family in Fredericton.  Congratulations, little guy!  You will also  have a young friend on whom to expend some of that kitten energy while you run and play all day!  

"Titus" was surrendered to DunRoamin’ on May 4, 2025 when his owners were unable to continue providing the medical care he required.  He had experienced urinary blockages (difficulty passing urine) since the beginning of the year and now requires a diet of only Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to prevent this from happening again.  He showed himself to be a very sweet and loving little guy and is happy to be receiving medical care and lots of love from his new servants.  He was born about May 8, 2023.

Titus has been neutered, fully vaccinated and has received all parasite control.  He is an extremely loving and social boy who is looking forward to a new forever home.  He is very excited to know that he is now "Spoken For!", and will leave for his new home soon!

"Jeffrey" returned to DunRoamin' on February 6, 2025.  He had been adopted to the best home ever in October, 2023 and had lived his best life, but unfortunately, medical issues of his adopter did not allow his family to keep him and they very sadly returned him to us, as is our adoption agreement.  He is very much missed.

Jeffrey was born about November 20, 2021 and he says he may have some Bengal-like qualities - he is definitely a very vocal little boy who requires a lot of interaction, either with humans or other cats. He would like to be adopted into a home where people are home all the time, or at least to a home with one or two other cats of similar age and energy level to ensure he has lots of company, interaction and stimulation. He is very friendly, loving and active.  He even enjoys dogs!

Jeffrey is fully vaccinated, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He is hoping for a home very soon - he misses the love and attention he got at his old home and is anxious to pass on his love again.  On April 19, 2025, he went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Please drop in - you'll love their coffee and treats, and you will certainly enjoy the cats!!

On June 8, 2025, Jeffrey was very happy to learn that he had been chosen as the newest member of a family in Chipman where he will be a brother for Piper and Sheldon!  Sheldon has a similar personality to Jeffrey and loves to talk, is inquisitive and very playful and active.  We are SO happy for you, Jeffrey.  Congratulations!  Send lots of letters to tell us about your new home and family!!

"Hatfield" came to us on February 4, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  He was born about February 4, 2017, so was only about two years old.  Because Hatfield came from a location where Feline Leukemia had been found in other cats, he was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019, at which time it was confirmed that he did not have Feline Leukemia and was perfectly healthy.

Hatfield was initially a bit timid, but he learned very quickly that he was safe and sound and that he now had many servants who would ensure he had everything he'd ever need or want.  Hatfield lived with a half-dozen other cats who require a Royal Canin Urinary S/O food  He sometimes requires medication on his belly since, if he gets a bit stressed, he can develop red spots which are easily treated, but we know that when he gets his very own quiet home and family, he will be perfectly fine.  He is very low-key, loving, attentive and affectionate.  He just wants a nice, quiet home and family and he'll be perfectly happy forever!

On June 1, 2025, Hatfield's wish came true.  After being with us for more than six years, he finally hit the jackpot when a family from Douglas, NB, saw him and fell in love.  He now lives in a loving home with two cat-loving dogs and two cats, Pickles and Shadow, who are his new family.  Congratulations, Hatfield.  It's your time now!  We will miss you more than you can know, so please send us lots of photos and tell us about your wonderful new life.  We love you!!

"Dwayne" came to DunRoamin' from the Perth-Andover area on January 18, 2025 where he was a stray who had been seen in the area for quite some time.  Fortunately for him, although he was not allowed inside, people were giving him food which had allowed him to survive.  However, he had recently sustained several wounds and injuries and needed help.

Dwayne soon met with his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic who determined the following:  he was about five years old (born about January 20, 2020) and had medical issues which included a wound on his tongue, fleas, and a large number of bite wounds on his right front leg, as well as many scabs and scars all over his body, most probably the result of many fights and scuffles while trying to survive.  Very nervous at first, he soon was diving into his now ever-present food supply!

Dwayne was provided with antibiotics and pain medication and was neutered and vaccinated.  He also tested negative for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).  Now that he was safe and aware that he is loved and will have the very best care possible, he showed his gratitude with purrs, head butts and long, slow eye blinks.  His scars are healed, he is up to date on all his vaccines and he looks forward to a loving home. 

On May 17, 2025, Dwayne was very happy to learn that he had been chosen to join a family in the Fredericton area where he will be very well loved and receive the best of care.  And as a bonus, his little friend Squirt also was invited into the family!  Congratulations to all!  Don't forget to write!!

"Squirt" came to DunRoamin' from the Bath, NB area on February 3, 2025 along with his brothers Flounder, Marlin and Nemo.  They were born about February 3, 2025 and are all energetic, playful and cute little furballs!

All four kittens are neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites as part of their routine protocol.  They are ready for homes and are very much looking forward to it, because we have promised them the best!  We hope that they might be adopted in pairs, or to a home that has a cat (or two!) of similar age so that they might burn off their kitten energy together.  They are very energetic, playful and fun-loving little guys.  They look forward to meeting their new families!

On May 17, 2025, Squirt was very happy to learn that he had been chosen as one of the two newest members of a family in Fredericton.  And his friend Dwayne was chosen, too!  Congratulations to everyone.  Don't forget to write, Squirt, and send lots of family photos!  Be good!!

On July 31, 2024, we accepted several more cats from a colony in the Lansdowne area.  "Elm" is a beautiful little brown tabby girl who was born about August 1, 2022.  

Elm, like the many others rescued from her colony, is affectionate and grateful to have a warm bed, parasite control (they had a massive number of fleas) and lots to eat - they were on the skinny side.  Oak was especially grateful to have a soft warm bed and humans who love and care for her.  She especially loves being waited on hand and foot!

On October 12, 2024, Elm went to visit her friends at The Purrfect Cup where she hoped to meet her new family.  She can't wait!  She is a quiet, loving little girl who is used to multiple cats and will be happy to have at least one other cat in her new home to keep her company.

On April 19, 2025, Elm was very happy to join a family in the Fredericton area where she will have one other feline family member and two human adults to wait on her hand and foot.  Congratulations, Elm!!  Elm would like to thank all her friends at The Purrfect Cup who loved and cared for her while she enjoyed her time there.  You are all awesome!!

 "Klink" came to us from Gladwyn, NB, on June 11, 2024 as a stray who was part of a colony.  He had had diarrhea for many, many weeks and no one was able to help him or take him in.  Born about June 13, 2022, he was very skinny, had ear mites, fleas and had fecal balls and diarrhea in his long black fur to the point that he had to be shaved to remove the hard, dried, painful layers.

Klink initially appeared to be a bit wild, but that was just his fear showing. Once he was shaved, provided medication and a diet of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Fibre food to help with his diarrhea, he showed himself to be a sweetheart who loves to be patted and loved, and he certainly loves his warm, soft bed!

Klink is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He is anxiously searching for a home with someone who will love him for the rest of his life.  He is extremely playful, affectionate and loving.  He has had some issues with diarrhea and soft stool, but both he and we have been working on that and he's had no issues at all in the past few months of 2025!  And he loves his Royal Canin Gastro Fibre food!  He is a gorgeous boy with long black hair and a personality that just doesn't quit! 

On April 25, 2025, Klink was very happy to learn that he and his friend Kiana had been chosen to join the family of a young man in Woodstock.  Congratulations to these two friends!  They will be so happy to stay together!!

On October 26, 2024, "Kiana" and her brother Ruzek came to us from the Woodstock First Nations area where they and their mom, Trudy, had been trying to survive as strays.  Thanks to the kindness of some people who went out of their way to ensure they had food, all three were relatively healthy. 

Kiana was initially quite timid, and was much more comfortable if her brother Ruzek was with her, but she is now doing much better on her own.  She definitely will do better in a home with another cat of similar age - she loves to play with her feline friends.  She was born about August 24, 2024 and is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested  for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. 
Kiana is a beautiful little girl who hoped for a quiet home with a human or two who will allow her to become comfortable on her own time and have one or more feline friends to play and cuddle with.   Her coat is "frosted" and she is gorgeous!! 

On April 25, 2025, Kiana hit the jackpot when she and her buddy Klink were adopted together by a young man in Woodstock.  They will live  happily ever after!  Congratulations to everyone!!

"Marlin" came to DunRoamin' on February 3, 2025 from Bath, NB, along with his three brothers Flounder, Nemo and Squirt.  Born about October 6, 2024, they are all very sweet, playful, cuddly little guys.  They are all social and love people.

All four brothers were soon neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They are ready for homes and are looking forward to meeting their forever family.  We are hoping that they may be adopted in pairs or to homes that already have a cat or two of similar age so that their energy levels compliment each other!  They are all sweet, energetic, playful little furballs who love to wrestle, play, run, chase and cuddle with each other!

On April 19, 2025, Marlin was very happy to be adopted by a young man from Saint John.  He will now beloved and spoiled forever!  Congratulations, Marlin!  Send lots of photos of you and your new family!

"Flounder" came to DunRoamin' from Bath, NB, along with his three brothers, Marlin, Nemo and Squirt on February 3, 2024.  These four little guys had no place to live, so they came to us for help.  They were all born about October 6, 2024 and are cute, friendly, lovable little guys.

Flounder is neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.   We hope they might be adopted in twos, or to a home that already has a cat or two of similar age, as they are very attached to each other and love to play, wrestle and cuddle together.  They are ready for homes as of early March!

On April 8, 2025, Flounder was adopted to a wonderful family in Keswick Ridge where he will be spoiled the way he should be!  Congratulations, Flounder!  Write soon!  We can't wait to see photos of you and your new family!

On October 26, 2024, "Ruzek" and his sister Kiana came to us from the Woodstock First Nations area where they and their mom, Trudy, had been trying to survive as strays.  Thanks to the kindness of some people who went well out of their way to ensure they had food, all three were relatively healthy.  Kiana is quite timid, but is much more comfortable if her brother Ruzek is with her, although she is now learning confidence on her own.   They were born about August 22, 2024.

Ruzek is fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, neutered and treated for all parasites and is now ready for that home he dreams of.  He is currently spending time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he is being spoiled by his new staff!   Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup for some delicious coffee and treats - you'll love this place!  We certainly do!

"Brewster" was returned to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2024.  He originally had come to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from the Centreville area as one of 62 cats surrendered from an indoor colony.  He was soon adopted by a loving family, but recently he had begun urinating inappropriately and attacking the other cat in his home.  His family was unable to deal with these issues, so, as per our adoption agreement, he came back to us. 

Brewster was immediately examined by his new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was confirmed that he required a Urinary S/O diet to ensure his urinary tract could not block.  He was already on this diet, so this was not the issue.  Upon examination of his mouth, it was discovered that many of his teeth were in very bad shape and required extraction.  It appears that his inappropriate urination was his attempt to tell his humans that something was wrong.  He is a much happier boy now that his dental issues are completely resolved and he has not peed inappropriately or shown any aggression at all to his new friends since he has been with us.   He is a sweet, happy, loving little boy who loves to play in the sink and help his human friends do the dishes!  He is very cuddly, affectionate and will turn himself upside down for a long, luxurious belly rub!

On March 15, 2025, Brewster was very excited to leave for his new  home in Fredericton where he will have another feline friend to keep him company while his humans spoil them both rotten!  Congratulations, Brewster!  Write soon!  We will miss you!

 "Nalani" came to us on April 3, 2024 from the Woodstock area as one of four kittens and nine adults who required help.  She was born about April 4, 2023, so was about one year old.  She had already had kittens at this young age, and was happy to nurse Nia, Nikita and Nitro, even though they are from different litters.  She loved them all and took excellent care of them.  When she was done nursing the little ones, she was spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Now, it's time for a life of her own!  This beautiful little tabby girl has earned a life and family of her very own.

As these cats came from a situation where they were always surrounded by many other cats for their entire lives, it is our hope and wish that they be adopted in twos, or to a home that has at least one other cat of similar age.  Nalani was initially skittish around humans, but has learned that there are good people in this world who love cats, and she looks forward to joining the family of some of those people!

On March 3, 2025, Nalani was so happy to learn that she would be the newest member of a family in Smithfield, where she will also have a feline brother.  We are SO happy for you, Nalani!  Don't forget to send photos and tell us all about your wonderful new life!  Thanks so much to your family for giving you a whole new world!!

"Jensen" came to DunRoamin' on May 15, 2024 from the Richmond Corner, NB, area.  Brothers who were born about May 16, 2023, they had lived together in a basement with several other cats, but they needed a home where they might receive socialization and lots of love.  They were relatively healthy, but had not been neutered, vaccinated, tested nor treated for parasites since birth.  We quickly made sure all these things were done for these beautiful brothers.

Jensen (tabby and white) is very outgoing and loving - he wants all the attention he can get, and the more pats, the better!  He also loves carrying springs back to you so you can throw them again!    Jensen is neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and is fully up to date on all  vaccines.  Jensen is polydactyl, which means that he has extra toes on his front feet. He is a very affectionate sweetheart, and we hope he finds a wonderful home very soon.

On March 1, 2025, Jensen was adopted by a very nice couple from Lower Kingsclear where he will live happily ever after with his new family which includes two young humans as well as their parents.  Congratulations, Jensen!  Write soon!  We will miss you!!

Jacob came to DunRoamin' from Woodstock on July 19, 2024 where he was found all alone in the Canadian Tire parking lot.  Born about February 19, 2024, this little guy is a sweetheart, and was still just a baby.  He came to us with upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis, worms and a corneal ulcer on his right eye.  Jacob was also diagnosed with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV+) - please read about it below.  Most cats can live long and healthy lives with this disease, but Jacob was soon also diagnosed with lymphoma as well.

Jacob was very grateful to gain the care of one of our most loving and medically-experienced supporters who very quickly volunteered to take him home to foster for whatever time he might have remaining.  With his foster family, he experienced love, companionship, walks in the warm green grass wearing his halter, and was completely spoiled with toys, children, and his favourite tuna tube treats.

Jacob received the best quality of love and care he could possibly receive - something too many of these little ones do not have the good fortune to experience, and on February 19, 2025, he celebrated his first birthday!  

On February 28, 2025, Jacob was invited to join Dazzler, also FeLV+, in her foster home so they could keep each other company.  We would like to thank Jacob's foster families for loving and caring for this little boy so that he gets to know the kind of life and family he deserves.  He is so grateful for all he receives from them.  Jacob is currently doing very well and loving his life, as is Dazzler.  Thank you to their foster families and to their sponsors who make their medical care possible.  We are all very grateful to be able to help these little ones - they give back SO much!

Hackles, a beautiful grey tabby, has become extremely social.  As soon as he realizes you are a good person, he will be all over you!  He is neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and fully vaccinated.   He can't wait for a home of his very own!

On February 8, 2025, Hackles was adopted by a very nice young man who lives in Fredericton.  He will be spoiled beyond his wildest dreams.  Congratulations, Hackles!  Write soon!!

On October 11, 2024, we received "Astro," a cat from the Oakland area. While driving, a person saw a dog chase and catch a cat.  The cat managed to escape and climb a tree, from which a young man extracted her by climbing to her rescue.  Astro was examined by her new vet friend at Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and was diagnosed as being emaciated, very thin, covered with fleas, anemic, and a portion of her tail was missing.  She was also very scared, but was stable.

Astro was provided a nice, soft, warm, safe and quiet place to relax and plenty of appropriate nutrition so that she could begin to eat a bit at a time and put on weight in a healthy manner.  She was soon doing better, knowing that she was safe, warm and fed.  Astro was soon spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and fully vaccinated.   Her dream was for a safe home where she might enjoy the love of a family and complete love and safety for the rest of her life. 

On February 8, 2025, her dream came true when she was adopted by a young couple from Fredericton.  She will be safe, happy and loved in her new home, and to make things even better, her friend Trudy was also adopted with  her!  Congratulations to everyone!  Write soon, Trudy!!

On October 26, 2024, we met Trudy, a beautiful little black girl who came from the Woodstock First Nations area.  A stray who had been living on her own for quite some time, she was born about October 31, 2023.  Thanks to some kind people who went out of their way to ensure she has had food for the past four months, she was relatively healthy.  Trudy also had two little babies with her, Kiana (female) and Ruzek (male), who were also grateful for the care their mother received.  

Trudy was soon spayed, fully vaccinated (including boosters), treated for all parasites and tested for FIV and FeLV.  She looked forward to meeting a new family - she is a beautiful and affectionate little girl! 

On February 8, 2025, Trudy was so very happy to be adopted to a family in Fredericton where she will be spoiled for the rest of her life!  Congratulations, Trudy!  We will miss you!!

 "Scranton" came to DunRoamin' on March 13, 2023 from the Woodstock area. Born about March 16, 2021, he had been blocked (meaning that crystals had blocked his urethra so that urine could not pass from his body) and no one was able or willing to help him, so he came to us.  Surgery quickly remedied this situation and he is now fully recovered.  He now must eat Royal Canin Urinary S/O, a prescription food, to ensure he does not block again.  We have had dozens, if not hundreds, of cats on this diet and they have never blocked again, so he is 100%!

Scranton has been neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Scranton lives with several other cats and is an affectionate, loving little boy who is more than ready to meet the family he deserves!  He has a distinct sense of humour, a wonderful personality, loves to "kiss" his humans and is forever showing his love, enthusiasm for life and general "I love being alive!" attitude.  He is a very lucky little boy to have found the help he needed.  Now, he just needs that perfect family!

On January 25, 2025, Scranton was very eager to leave for his new home in Fredericton where he will be the very best friend of a very nice lady.  Congratulations, Scranton!  Write soon, and send lots of photos!  We'll miss you!

 "Jovi" came to DunRoamin' on November 7, 2023 from Wicklow where he was alleged to be a nasty stray who had been urinating inapppropriately in the house.  He was then put outdoors where he urinated on the front step of the home.  We were his last chance at life, as no other choice were available for him.  Jovi was born about November 7, 2022, so was only about a year old.  He had not seen a vet to help with his issues.
 
Jovi was initially scared and cranky, but that is because he hurt.  He was diagnosed with three stones in his bladder which were removed by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and he was soon doing much better - he has never once missed his litter box since Day 1.   Jovi is now neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites.  Because of his tendency to grow bladder stones, he must eat a Royal Canin Urinary S/O diet which contains none of the things that allow bladder stones to grow, so he has been (and will be) fine, as long as he eats this food.
 
Jovi is a very sweet little boy.  He is very affectionate and will stand on his hind legs to have his head scratched - he loves it!  He currently lives with seven other cats and gets along well, so he would be very happy to join a home with cats who eat a Urinary diet.  If you meet this sweet little cat, you will fall in love - he's the cutest!

On January 25, 2025, Jovi was so happy to go to his forever home.  Jovi now lives in Douglas, NB, where he will be the very best friend of a nice couple who have been looking for the perfect cat - that's him!!  Congratulations, Jovi!  Please send lots of photos - we will miss you!!

 "Nellie" came to us on April 3, 2024 from the Woodstock area as one of 
four kittens and nine adults who required help.  Born about October 4, 
2023, she had fleas, ear mites, worms and was pregnant.  She is a tiny 
little girl who soon learned to trust us, especially since she received lots of nutritious food and tons of love from her new servants.  She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV  and treated for all parasites.  She is anxious to have a family of her own to give her their undivided attention.
 
As Nellie and her friends and siblings came from a situation where they 
were always surrounded by many other cats for their entire lives, it is 
our hope and wish that she be adopted with another cat, or to a home that has at least one other cat of similar age. 

Nellie has been staying with her friends at The Purrfect Cup since September 28, 2024 where she hopes to meet her new family.  She is a beautiful long-haired little girl who can't wait to meet the perfect people to love her forever!

On January 25, 2025, Nellie was adopted by a very nice young lady from Fredericton where she will live happily ever after.  We were very pleased to receive an e-mail the very evening of Nellie's adoption detailing her excitement, love, enjoyment and approval of her new home and family!  She will love having two people to provide her with all the love she has ever wanted.  Congratulations, Nellie!  Write soon!

"Swagger" came to DunRoamin' on October 10, 2024 from the Florenceville area.  His mom had been struck and killed by a car the previous day and he and his sibling were left alone.  His sibling was unable to be caught right away, but Swagger was quickly brought to DunRoamin' for help.  Born about September 25, 2024, he was definitely much too young to be away from his mother who would feed him and keep him warm and safe.  He was cold and hungry, but was soon doing fine, thanks to his foster mother who quickly had him eating warm and nutritious kitten milk replacer to help him grow and become healthy and strong. 

Swagger had to be fed every couple of hours around the clock and stimulated to pee and poop until he was old enough to do so on his own.   We thank his foster mother who cared for him every two-to-three hours around the clock.  This is a huge undertaking to do every night and work full-time during the day as well.  We are very fortunate to have such heroes in our midst. 

Swagger is a cute little boy who eagerly ate with great gusto.   He was soon putting on weight and playing with his brother who was also rescued as well.  It is our wish that these two little boys are adopted together - they had a very rough start, and they have always been together and very obviously love each other.   As of the new year, Swagger is fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and neutered.  Now, he just waits for that perfect home, hopefully with his brother, Saunter. 

On January 4, 2025, both Swagger and Saunter went to stay with their friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where they hope to meet their new family.  In the meantime, they are happy to entertain all of The Purrfect Cup's guests!  Please drop in!

On January 25, 2025, Swagger was very happy to be adopted along with his brother Saunter to a home in Quispamsis where they will be both treated as kings in their new home.  Congratulations, boys!  Write soon!!

"Saunter" came to us from the Florenceville area on October 18, 2024.  The brother of Swagger, their mother had been struck and killed by a car eight days earlier and although his rescuer had saved Swagger, he was unable to locate Saunter at the time.  It was assumed that, being as young as he was, he had not survived.  However - good news!  Perhaps he was taken in by another cat who fed him and kept him warm, because he was soon safe with his brother again - warm and with a full belly.

Saunter was initially scared and hissed at both humans and his brother Swagger, but two days later he was playing with his brother and greeting his caregiver who ensured he was fed every couple of hours around the clock to replace the nutrition his mother would have provided.  Saunter and Swagger were both born about September 25, 2024.  It would be nice if these two little ones might be adopted together - they've been through a lot as just tiny babies and are grateful to be together now.  Brothers should be allowed to stay together - these two really love each other!  Both are neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and fully vaccinated, including boosters.  Now, they just want a home and family!!

On January 4, 2025, Saunter and Swagger went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they await those perfect people who would like to have them join their family.  They are already running the place, and have everyone smiling!  Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup - you'll love it!  Their coffee and treats are the very best!

On January 25, 2025, Saunter was adopted to a very good home in Quispamsis along with his brother, Swagger.  There they will live their best life ever as they are spoiled beyond their wildest dreams.  Congratulations, boys!  Send lots of photos!!

 "Cilantro" and her brothers Mint, Parsley, Aloe, Chives and Cayenne came from the Bristol area on July 3, 2024.  Their mom had given birth to them in a basement where they lived with little-to-no socialization.  They had been born about April 11, 2024.  All were examined by their new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and were soon on their way to becoming healthy and social little furballs.  The boys all had hernias which were repaired when they were neutered, and all is now well.  They are all fully vaccinated (including boosters), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, spayed/neutered and have received parasite control.  Aloe, Chives, Mint and Cayenne were soon adopted into loving homes.

On November 9, 2024, Cilantro moved to The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, to spend some time with her friends there while she waited to meet her perfect new family.   She enjoyed her time there with her staff servants and all the new friends she made.  Thanks for having her!  Pleasea drop into The Purrfect Cup - it is a fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it!!

On January 11, 2025, Cilantro joined the family of a very nice lady from Hanwell where she will be spoiled forever - just like her dream said would happen!  Thank you to this family for giving her the love and family she has dreamed of and so richly deserves.  Write soon, Cilantro!!

"Darlin" came to us on September 5, 2024, from the Richmond Corner area where she had been found on the side of the road beside her dead mother. Born about August 1, 2024, she was only about five weeks old, and she was in serious trouble.

Darlin was neurologic and her temperature was only 33*C - it should have been 39*C. She was very cold, very hungry and would not have survived much longer on her own. S he was soon warmed by her new vet tech foster mother (who had very quickly fallen in love!), x-rayed to ensure there were no unseen injuries and fed by syringe every few hours around the clock. Once warmed up with some food in her belly, she began to respond. Darlin is not out of the woods yet, but she is doing very well - even eating a bit on her own. Thanks to Dr Rennick for taking on her initial care, and thanks to her foster mother for ensuring she had a chance at life. She will be forever grateful - as are we. Darlin may have a slight hearing deficiency, but we will know more as she grows. Barring any complications (which we hope will be non-existent), she will be ready for a home by late October or early November. In the meantime, she will be very well loved and cared for by her foster family.

"Twizzler" and his siblings Taffey and Tootsie, came to  DunRoamin' on August 24, 2024 from Tobique First Nations where they had  been born to a mother who was no longer with them.  Only a few weeks  old, no one was capable of taking on their care which included feeding them every few hours around the clock, so they came to DunRoamin', bringing our numbers to more than 100.  Our foster homes were all full,  but we were very grateful to a very kind and generous vet professional  who quickly offered their assistance in assuring that these little ones would survive. Thank you SO much.

All three kittens received around-the-clock medical care and were soon doing
fine.  They were fortunate to go to a foster home once they were deemed healthy enough by their vet professional who cared for them until they were.  In this home they continued to thrive, and Taffey and Tootsie were eventually adopted by their foster family.

On January 11, 2024, Twizzler was adopted by a family from Fredericton, and her friend Darlin was also adopted to keep her company.  They join two other cats, one of whom is DunRoamin's Natasha who was adopted in June 2024.  Congratulations to everyone.  We can't wait to see family photos!

On July 31, 2024, we accepted additional cats from the Lansdowne area. "Oak" is a very nice little boy who was born about August 1, 2022. His sister, Elm, was also accepted.

Both cats were affectionate and grateful to have parasite control (they had a massive number of fleas) and lots to eat - they were on the skinny side.  Oak appeared to have a flea allergy which was quickly treated.  Both are affectionate and grateful to have soft warm beds, lots of food and to be free of their terrible flea burden.  Oak is a sweet little boy who loves his sister and gets along well with all other cats.

On November 22, 2024, Oak went to join his friends who were staying with their friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  He loved it there!  Please stop in and check it out - it's a wonderful place!

On January 4, 2024, Oak was very happy to learn that he had been chosen as a new family member for a young lady in Fredericton.  And it made him very happy to take his friend Beamer along, too!  Congratulations, boys, you have it made!  Don't forget to send lots of photos and tell us all about your wonderful new life!  Congratulations!

"Beamer" came to DunRoamin' on November 4, 2024, from the Woodstock area.  He had been taken in as a stray by some people who knew he needed help in the cold winter months.  Unfortunately, he began peeing inappropriately and his rescuers were unable to take on the expenses of his medical care.

Beamer was accepted by DunRoamin' and was soon examined by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was determined that he had an infection on his lip which was painful and made it difficult for  him to eat.  He was most likely expressing his pain by urinating inappropriately.

Beamer was treated for his infection, fully vaccinated, neutered and treated for all parasites.  Once he felt better he could not help but express his graitude each minute of each and every day.  He is a loving, sweet, playful and affectionate little boy who eagerly awaited a permanent home of his very own.

On January 4, 2024, Beamer's dreams came true when he was adopted by a young lady from Fredericton where he will live out his wonderful dreams.  He was so very happy to learn that his friend Oak would be adopted also, so he will forever have a feline friend to play, cuddle and sleep with when his human is otherwise occupied!  Congratulations, boys!  We are SO very happy for you!  Don't forget to write!!
