Cathay came to us on November 3, 2017 from the NBSPCA from the Saint Joseph area. It is estimated that she was born about August 10, 2017, so she was just a baby. She had beautiful long hair and "bedroom eyes." She weighed in at only 1.9 pounds.Cathay was thin and was lame on her left hind leg. This was determined to be caused by a fracture in the growth plate of her hip socket. She may require surgery later on, but right now everything looks great! She's happy to be warm, safe and have lots of food (which she prefers to eat from a spoon while her servants pat her at the same time!) She is a great purrer, too. And those beautiful eyes!! Cathay tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). As it is contagious to other felines, she would like to live in a home with no other cats or with another FeLV-positive cat - almost everyone loves company! Cathay is a sweet little girl who has been hoping for a loving family of her very own - maybe even for Christmas!?!Cathay is honoured to have been named after Cathay Williams, a slave, and the first African-American woman to enlist in the United States army. In order to do so, she had to pose as a man using the name William Cathay, as women were prohibited from serving in the military at that time. On December 23, 2017, Cathy's wish for her very first Christmas was granted when she was welcomed into the home of a young couple from Nashwaak Village, NB. Cathy purred and kneaded immediately when picked up by them - she knew this was the Christmas present she'd been dreaming of! Somme came to DunRoamin' along with her brother, Dunkirk, and two sisters, Caen and Ypres, on the morning of November 9, 2017 from Knowlesville. Their mom, a feral stray, had been struck and killed by a car the previous day and a lady had found the four kittens in a box in her unheated shed. With no mom to feed them or keep them warm, they needed help. All four were almost indistinguishable beautiful grey tabbies.Somme was born about September 28, 2017. She and her brother Dunkirk and sisters, Ypres and Caen were fostered by a very kind and generous supporter whom we thank profusely. They soon began eating on their own and with love and care, flourished and became healthy. Somme appeared to be the most outgoing of her siblings - she would sit and stare at her foster mother until she patted her! She is more independent than her siblings and wants cuddles when she wants them. She makes a very cute trilling noise as she runs and plays! Somme is honoured to be named in memory of the many heroes of the battle of Somme during World War I.On January 6, 2018, Somme was elated to go to her new home in Fredericton where she'll have the perfect home and family. Sleet came to us on November 24, 2017 from Bath where she was found in a box in the rafters of a garage. Her mom, Lotus, had been rescued two days earlier and when her rescuer realized she still might have kittens, went looking for these little ones. Sleet and her siblings, Snowdon, Slippy, Blanc, Frostine and Hail were born about October 27, 2017. When found, they were living (and had probably been born) in a box in the rafters of a garage. They had been without their mom to keep them warm, feed them, or stimulate them to pee and poop for at least two days, so they really needed help. They had fleas which were treated.Sleet is a black and brown tabby with white toes. They don't get any cuter than her! She watches her caregiver with huge eyes - she's in awe! She loves her siblings and loves to play and sleep in a kitten pile! She is very attentive and energetic. On December 10, 2017, Sleet met a young couple from Geary, NB and it was love at first sight. She and her brother, Slippy, played with them for an hour before they finally wore them out! All four (human and feline) realized it was true love at first sight that will last forever! Hail came to us on November 24, 2017 from Bath where she was found in a box in the rafters of a garage. They had fleas which were treated.Hail is white with a few tiny grey spots on her head. She was the most fragile of her siblings. When found, little Hail was on the garage floor, having fallen or crawled out of the box in the rafters of the garage. That's a long way for a little baby to fall. She was hypothermic (her temperature was less than 34*C) and she had low sugar levels, to name a few of her problems. With concentrated medical care, she soon recovered to become a curious, playful and loving little girl.On December 9, 2017, a lady travelled all the way from Fredericton to meet little Hail to see if she might like to come join her family. Hail agreed, especially after learning that there were already permanent feline family members and that there was a dog upon whom all the felines slept and they all loved to play with him. She is very happy to become part of this loving family. Congratulations, Hail!!

Ypres came to DunRoamin' from Knowlesville, NB, along with her brother Dunkirk and two sisters, Somme and Caen, on the morning of November 9, 2017. She and her siblings were fostered by a very kind and generous supporter whom we thank profusely. They appeared to be eating on their own and were healthy, although they needed a little help along the way. Ypres was the largest of her siblings and was very affectionate. She especially loved to play with her siblings. Ypres is honoured to be named in memory of the many heroes of the battles of Ypres during World War I.On December 8, 2017, Ypres was elated to learn that she was adopted by a very nice man whom she had met the previous day. She will now live in Greenfield, and to make the day even MORE happy, her sister Caen (see below) got to go with her! Congratulations! Merry Christmas!! Don't forget to write often! Caen came to DunRoamin' along with her brother Dunkirk and two sisters, Ypres and Somme, on the morning of November 9, 2017, from Knowlesville, NB. With no mom to feed them or keep them warm, they needed help. All four are almost indistinguishable beautiful grey tabbies.Caen was born about September 28, 2017. She and her siblings were fostered by a very kind and generous supporter whom we thank profusely. They appeared to be eating on their own and were healthy, although they needed some help along the way. At just under a pound, Caen was the tiniest of all four little ones. Caen was also the most cuddly of her siblings. She would follow her foster mother around and stare at her until she was picked up. Then, she would climb on her shoulder and cuddle there! Caen is honoured to be named in memory of the many heroes of the battle of Somme during World War I. On December 8, 2017, Caen learned that she had been chosen to be one of the two newest members of a very nice couple from Greenfield. Her sister, Ypres (see above) also was chosen, so they won't ever be lonely! Congratulations, Caen! Please write often! Your foster mother will miss you dearly!!

Limit came to us from the Bedell, NB, area on November 14, 2017. He had been wandering aimlessly looking for help for several weeks, but could find no one to care for him. He was cold, hungry and thirsty. With the weather turning colder, especially at night, he had a very poor chance of being safe, warm and fed in the coming winter months. There is a limit to how long a young cat can survive on his own during these Maritime winters and he was getting too close to his! He's grateful to have received help. All DunRoamin' cats are neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites, so once this was accomplished, Limit was ready for a home. He is exceptionally social and loves both cats and people. He loves to purr, head butt and follow you around. Limit was born about August 10, 2016, so he's got a good long life in front of him now without fear of cold, injury, sickness, predators or lack of food. On December 1, 2017, Limit was officially adopted by his new family who had met him several days previously when visiting York, another injured DunRoamin' cat whom they had found and brought for help. When York is well enough, she will also be adopted to this family in Hartland as a friend for Limit. We are grateful for the love and family of which this little boy is now a part and we're grateful for the lady who made his new life possible. Thank you!

Dunkirk came to DunRoamin' along with his three sisters on the morning of November 9, 2017 from Knowlesville, NB. His mom, a feral stray, had been struck and killed by a car the previous day and a lady had found the four kittens in a box in her unheated shed. All four were almost indistinguishable beautiful grey tabbies, but Dunkirk can be identified because he's a little darker than his sisters.Dunkirk was born about September 28, 2017. He and his sisters, Caen, Ypres and Somme were fostered by a very kind and generous supporter whom we thank profusely. They were soon eating on their own and became healthy. Dunkirk will purr for belly rubs and he loves to be held. He'll lay on his back with his feet in the air if you'll rub his belly!On November 28, 2017, he was adopted by a family from Beaver Dam, NB where he'll be a friend for Kit who was adopted on November 19, 2017 (see below). Anwick and her friend Brittany, mothers of eight kittens who were only about 16 days old, came to us on August 18, 2017 from the Perth area. Both moms were very skinny and their babies had so many fleas that they were anaemic. Several other kittens from the location had already died. Anwick's and Brittany's kittens were only about 16 days old. Unfortunately, three of them, Thurso, Kintyre and Glasgow, were unable to survive, despite medical intervention. We thank the vet techs who cared for them and gave their all to help them. You can read about these three kittens on our Pet Memorials page.Brittany ended up nursing all five kittens. When needed, their food intake was augmented by syringe feedings by their new foster mother. They were weighed daily to ensure they all gained weight appropriately. All kittens soon became healthy and were adopted to loving homes. Anwick was born about August 8, 2016. She waited patiently for a loving, caring home so that she could have a happy end to her story . . .. . . and on October 30, 2017, she hit the jackpot when the gentleman who adopted Arwen (see below) the previous day returned to adopt her for company for Arwen! We are SO happy for them both! Congratulations! Please stay in touch!!

Dramahcame to us on May 12, 2017 from the Carleton Co-Op where she was a stray who had, no doubt, been dropped off to fend for herself. The large and busy parking lot is a dangerous place and staff had tried to catch her for quite some time. She had given birth to at least two litters, none of whom had survived.When Dramah finally allowed herself to be captured, she was not in good shape. She had the general assortment of parasites such as fleas, worms, etc, and a very bad case of upper respiratory infection. She also had some dental issues which required dental surgery to rectify. She is much better now, thanks to medical intervention.Dramah really wanted to trust people and she has since come a very long way. She loves to be patted picked up and cuddled and dreams only of a warm, safe, loving home in the very near future. She was fostered by a loving family in Florenceville where a young man fell head over heals in love with her, so . . .. . . on October 29, 2017, she officially became a member of his family. Dramah will move to Antigonish, NS, where she'll be the best friend of her admirer for the rest of her VERY happy life! Congratulations, Dramah! Thanks, Brandon!!

Arwen came to us on September 1, 2017 from the Woodstock area where she was a homeless stray who had recently had kittens. She was very thin, had parasites and halitosis. She also had thickened intestines. She was provided with all care and medication which helped with her medical needs. With all this love and care, she soon became healthy, happy and ready for a home of her very own where she could display her gratitude for all the assistance she had received.Arwen is a beautiful, quiet, sweet, loving cat who appears to be familiar enough with humans that she probably had a home of her own previously. She was born about September 1, 2014. Arwen waited patiently for that perfect person to walk through the door . . .On October 29, 2017, her wait ended. A gentleman from Glassville was her chosen family and she now lives there happily! He had very little say in the matter - she chose him! Congratulations to both! Write soon, Arwen!!

Miss Hap came to us from the Canterbury area on August 2, 2017. She was born about August 2, 2010. She was a stray who was trying to survive all alone but was not doing well. She was very thin, had fleas, scabs all over her body (probably from flea dermatitis) and had moderate tartar. All these things were rectified and her scabs have all healed, her fur has grown back and she has put on a little weight from some good nutrition. She's perfect again!Miss Hap is a very quiet, unobtrusive, friendly and affectionate little girl. She's a beautiful pewter grey lady who'd love to have a home where she can live indoors and not have to worry about food or parasites ever again. She loves other cats, children and everyone else who loves her.On October 25, 2017, Miss Hap was adopted by a family from Florenceville where she'll get all the love, attention and care that she deserves and desires. Gunnar came to us on May 6, 2017 from Upper Brighton where he had been trying to survive near a potato house. He had been rescued from a dog attack but had nowhere to go from there. Gunnar was born about May 5, 2015. It is felt that Gunnar may have belonged to someone at some point, because he is happy to be around humans. He is cuddly and purrs to show his gratitude for the medical assistance provided to him. He was very lean, not yet neutered and was FULL of fleas. He also had ear mites and abrasions behind both ears from scratching at them in an attempt to relieve the discomfort and pain they caused. He had a healing wound on his right hip, a bite wound, an eye infection, sinusitis from an upper respiratory infection and he also had a defect on the ride side of his abdominal wall, probably the result of the attack by the dog from which he was rescued. Thanks to outstanding vet care, Gunnar was soon perfectly healthy, happy and a very affectionate cat. He loves to play and cuddle more than ANYTHING! He is small in stature but huge in love! On October 25, 2017, Gunnar was adopted by a very nice lady from Maplehurst. As an added joy, Oban (see above) was adopted as a little brother for him! Congratulations, Gunnar! Write soon! Denver came to us on August 9, 2017, from the Hartland area. He was rescued by a lady who was unable to care for him as his left eye was badly infected and required medical attention.Denver was born about June 21, 2017. He was thin, had ear mites and, of course, his badly-infected eye. This did not overly stress him, as he sat quietly while he received all this care, knowing that he finally had the assistance he needed. Denver is cuddly, affectionate and loving. It appeared that he had no vision in his left eye and it required removal on September 20, 2017. He handled the surgery like a pro and is perfectly fine! Denver received all required medical care and was fostered by a very generous vet tech to ensure he received the medical care and medication he required. Thanks, Chloe! Now that he's all healthy again, he looks forward to having a loving family.On October 21, 2017, Denver received some wonderful news! He will now be the newest member of a family from North View where he will join little Jessie (see below) who was adopted on October 12, 2017. They will be best friends forever. All six were fostered by three vet techs who volunteered to take on their care which included feeding them by syringe every three hours to ensure they were hydrated and received the nutrition and care they required to grow strong and healthy. We can't begin to express our gratitude to Riley, Eryn and Kate for their assistance for these little ones. What would they do without you?!? What would we?Bullseye and his brother Hamm (see below) had never been separated and love each other dearly. Ecole came to us on September 5, 2017, just a very young kitten. He was so covered with fleas that crawled all over his body and into his eyes, nose and ears that he had to have numerous blood transfusions over two days as the fleas had devoured so much of his blood. He required extensive and intensive veterinary care and we thank Dr Rennick at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for his expertise and care. We also thank Zero for yet another blood donation to save a little kitten. Ecole was so named as he was fortunate to get help on the very first school day of 2017.As of the evening of September 6, 2017, little Ecole was eating a bit of nutritious canned food on his own. He was fostered by a very supportive vet tech where he received the best of everything while he healed and grew strong! On the morning of September 10, 2017, Ecole was feeling well enough to eat a tiny amount of dry kitten food on his own and play with his stuffed mouse which is bigger than he is! He only weighed 417 grams, but slowly began putting on weight, thanks to the medical care he received from his foster mother. He fits in the palm of a hand! On October 13, 2017, Ecole was adopted by a nice lady from Aroostook where he'll have the best life ever. Congratulations, Ecole! Please remind your new momma to send lots of photos - we'll miss you!

Bartholomeow came to DunRoamin' on August 18, 2017 from the Perth area, along with his mom Brittany, her mom's friend Anwick and seven other kittens: Thurso, Kintyre, Glasgow, Bethany, Bentley, Brinkley and Oban. Both adults were thin and nursing kittens. All eight kittens had a large number of fleas and were therefore anaemic. Sadly, little Thurso, Kintyre and Glasgow were not able to survive, despite immediate and intensive veterinary care. Bethany was the only little girl from the litter. Bartholomeow is a very cute little black and white guy with a white chin, white on his toes and a white stripe down his belly. He loves his siblings and prefers to sleep in a cat pile. He was born about August 2, 2017. He is a real sweetheart!On October 11, 2017, Bartholomeow went to live with his new family in Woodstock. Congratulations, little guy! Please remind your new mom and dad to send us lots of photos - your foster mother will miss you and would love to see you grow up!!

Bridgeocame back to DunRoamin' on May 2, 2017. This beautiful orange tabby boy originally came to us on July 12, 2012 from Woodstock where he had been found hanging around an apartment building. He was skinny and sick had no one to care for him. Bridgeo was adopted on September 12, 2012 but was returned due to circumstances unrelated to him personally. He is a sweetheart.Bridgeo was born about May 2, 2008. He is extremely affectionate and loves to give head bonks! Bridgeo has been diagnosed with diabetes but is very healthy. He requires an injection twice daily (we hope it will be once daily very soon), but it is simply done and he has no problem at all with it! He is currently eating a Diabetic diet. On September 30, 2017, Bridgeo was adopted by a young lady from Aroostook where he'll get the love and care that he deserves. Don't forget to stay in touch, Bridgeo. We'll all miss you very much!

Both adults were thin and nursing kittens. All eight kittens had fleas and were anaemic. Sadly, little Thurso, Kintyre and Glasgow were not able to survive, despite immediate and intensive vet care. The other five were immediately placed under determined medical care.Bethany was the only little girl from the litter. She is a beautiful little orange tabby who has a great attitude. She is very playful and takes no guff from her brothers! She loves to play, climb and cuddle! She was born about August 2, 2017.On October 7, 2017, Bethany was adopted by a couple from Nackawic where she will be a new friend for Crysis, another ex-DunRoamin' cat. Congratulations!! Crysis, Bethany's new friend!

Mayda came to us on July 8, 2017 from the Woodstock area. She was part of a family of kittens and was much smaller than her siblings - she was not doing well. As no other options were available, she was accepted by DunRoamin' to ensure she received the medical care she required. She was so tiny she fit very well in the palm of a hand. Mayda was underweight, had feces on her back end and had dermatitis (red, swollen, sore patches) on her skin. She also had a bruise on her belly - that must have hurt!Mayda weighed only 180 grams. As typical healthy kittens gain about 100 grams per week, her weight indicated that she was only about two weeks old, but she was definitely much older than that. We are so grateful to her vet tech caregiver who took her home to provide medical care around the clock to ensure she had the best chance possible. Thanks, Kate and Jeff! She is SO fortunate to have you!!Mayda is a very lucky little girl to have been brought for help and continued to thrive with the care she received. She put on weight and soon became a happy, healthy, playful little fur ball. She may grow to be a very small cat, but her personality more than makes up for anything lacking in size! She is a very sweet and loving kitten! She thanks her foster mother and father for helping her so much! On September 15, 2017, Mayda was adopted by a family in Nackawic who will give her the life of her dreams! Don't forget to write, Mayda. We'll all miss you, especially your foster mom and dad. Cabella came to us on September 2, 2017 when she was found in a driveway all alone. She was obviously injured. Cabella was examined and found to have a broken hind leg. Cabella's leg was placed in a splint and she was treated for the extremely large number of parasites. On September 6, 2017, Cabella underwent surgery to amputate her leg as it was not repairable. She recovered well with lots of love and care. She hoped that she'd be lucky enough to move in with a family where she'd be loved and cared for so that she never has to experience an unfortunate situation like that again!Thanks to Riley who made certain she got the nutrition and medical care she required while she healed, as well as the love and attention she desired and deserved. And thanks also for finding her the perfect home . . .On September 16, 2017, Cabella was adopted by a very nice young lady from Jacksonville where she'll be loved beyond her wildest dreams! She will also have a canine friend, Dozer, so she's going to be living the life! Congratulations, Cabella! Send photos soon!!

Lani came to us on May 24, 2017 from Hartland where her owners were moving and unable to take her with them. She was born about October 8, 2011, and is a beautiful little girl! She has a great personality and loves people. She especially loves kids.Lani is fully vaccinated, spayed and tested for FIV and FeLV, as are all DunRoamin' cats. She dreamed of a new home with someone to love her forever, and . . .. . . on September 22, 2017, that dream came true. Lani now lives in Woodstock with her new best friend where she'll be spoiled with love forever. Congratulations, Lani. Please remember to send lots of photos - we'll miss you!

Batman came to us on July 22, 2017 from the Beechwood area where he was found on the side of the road all alone with no one to help him. He was diagnosed with a broken right hind leg which was originally thought to be so badly damaged that it might have to be amputated, but thanks to the skill and experience of his vet, he was very soon just fine! Batman is a very cute little guy with a loving heart and a huge voice - he "yells" at us if he wants something!! He is ADORABLE!!Batman dreamed of having a permanent home where he would be an indoor-only kitten so he would never have to experience the pain, fear and so many other terrible things that he had undergone so far in his short life. On September 2, 2017, his dream came true when a couple from Simonds came to take him home to become a permanent family member. Congratulations, Batman! Make sure you stay in touch - we'll miss you terribly!!

Chick was one of two kittens found on the side of the road near the Ja-Sa-Le in Hartland on June 22, 2011. She was adopted to a home in Holmesville in August 2011 but was returned to DunRoamin' on July 17, 2014. She was born about May 15, 2011. Chick is a little timid, but is doing okay. She's happy to still have her best friend Cheddah to comfort her and they sleep cuddled up together.On July 31, 2014, Chick was adopted by a young lady from Woodstock. She was ecstatic and very grateful to learn that her best friend Cheddah (see below) was also invited to be part of her new family. Congratulations, Chick. Meet "Ophelia," who came back to us at DunRoamin' on May 2, 2017. She originally came to us on November 4, 2013 from Somerville, NB, where she had no one to care for her. As a result, she was thin, had fleas, pus in both ears, a polyp in her right ear, missing teeth, a bloody nasal discharge and her eyes were running. She was immediately accepted by DunRoamin' and she was provided with the care she needed and deserved. Her ears required amputation due to the damage they had sustained and she is deaf in one ear. Ophelia was born sometime in the year 2004.Ophelia was adopted by a family in Plaster Rock where she lived the life of Riley. She was loved and very well cared for, but due to family circumstances she came back to us on May 2, 2017. She is a very affectionate cat who loves people and loves to be brushed. She particularly loves to watch TV with you if you'll let her lay on your lap! She also loves to talk and will do so all the time! Ophelia tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+) - please click on the link below to learn all about it.On August 26,2017, Ophelia was ecstatic to learn that she was going to have a permanent home with a young lady who would love her desperately forever! Chickadee came to DunRoamin' on July 19, 2017 from Lindsay where she was found all alone on the side of the road. Her eyes were glued shut due to discharge from infection and she was not feeling well at all. She just wanted to sleep. We're not sure how long she had been there, but she was fortunate to be brought for medical assistance. Thanks to her rescuers for picking her up off the road and also for leaving a generous donation to help with her care.Chickadee received all required medical care and was soon doing very well. She was fostered by a veterinary technician to ensure she had round-the-clock medical attention. She is extremely cute and she even purrs, knowing that she's now warm, dry, safe, fed and getting the help she needs. Her foster mother reports that she likes other cats and especially loves dogs! She is cute, cuddly and affectionate. Thanks, Chloe, for taking such good care of her!On August 26, 2017, Chickadee was adopted by a very nice lady from Noonan, NB, where she'll be a new friend for their 10-year old dog and 10-month old cat. Derp came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 as a seizure by the NB SPCA, part of a large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. Derp had a wound on his head, and extremely bad ear mites which had been so terrible that they had damaged both of his ear drums. One ear drum was not salvageable but thanks to medical intervention, the other healed fine. Derp had only one bone (as opposed to two, as all other cats do) in his right front leg. Although his leg works fine, there is a possibility that his wrist or elbow joint could dislocate. He also had one hip which was dysplastic (showed abnormal development) and both his kneecaps in his hind legs could possibly slip out of place. He may require surgery to repair this condition, but he's shown no problem and we're sure he'll be fine. Just ask Asher (check out our Adopted Cats page) who had the same problem, underwent surgery for it and is PERFECTLY fine! He runs, plays and jumps with the best of them. Maybe better! Just ask him!!Derp was born about May 24, 2016, so was just a kitten of only eight months when he was rescued. What a hard time he's had, but only good things are in store for him now. He has been neutered, vaccinated and received treatment for all his medical problems. He also tested negative for FIV and FeLV. His ear is fine and we're sure there are many more medical miracles on the way for him. He is a sweetheart who really pines for a family who will love and care for him as he deserves.On August 26, 2017, Derp was so excited to leave for his new home in New Maryland. He had met a young couple earlier who fell in love with him and wanted to make sure their home was perfect for him before bringing him home, and today's the day that happened! Congratulation, Derp! William came to DunRoamin' on February 10, 2017 from the Bath area. He is a very handsome orange tabby with striking green eyes who was born sometime in the year 2000, so he's about 17 years old. He's very loving, quiet and affectionate and he'd just like to have a home and a family to care for him in his golden years. William enjoys other cats and has shown no problems with the dogs he has encountered since he has been with us. He is healthy, happy and hoping for someone to make his life complete. He just needs a nice soft, warm bed, some food and some lovin'. Oh, and some Temptations. Lots of Temptations. William lived in a foster home and got a great taste of +the good life! He thanks his foster parents for taking him in. So do we! On August 23, 2017, William was adopted by a young lady from Jacksonville where he'll be the newest addition to the family and cared for as he deserves! Another family to spoil you, William! Tetris came to us on May 15, 2017 from Holmesville where he had been born to his homeless mom, Acacia. One of his siblings did not survive. Tetris was born about May 1, 2017, so was only about two weeks old.Tetris was fostered by a veterinary technician to ensure that he had the care he needed to become strong and healthy. He's very lucky to have had this opportunity, and we're very grateful to his foster mom. Tetris was soon eating wet food very well on his own, and loved to play non-stop, especially with his toys and his mom. He was already litter box trained and was very adventurous. When he finally tires out from playing, his favourite place to fall asleep is on your lap. He's a real sweetheart! He'd like to thank his foster mom for giving him such a great start and teaching him what love and compassion are all about.On August 10, 2017, Tetris was very fortunate to be adopted by a family in Greenfield where he'll grow up with two young boys. He will also have a canine brother and a feline brother, Dilbert (see below)! Congratulations, Tetris! Please send us lots of photos. Oasis came to us on the evening of June 7, 2017 from the Grafton area. She was born about May 10, 2017, so was only about a month old, although she was very tiny. Oasis had a bad upper respiratory infection, an eye infection, a distended abdomen (probably due to parasites), diarrhea, feces in the fur on her hind end and a very raw and inflamed bum.Oasis was cared for by two very attentive veterinary technicians who gave her their all, as they always do. She received a bath, food, warmth and lots of loving. She was started on antibiotics and pain medications which helped immensely. She was fostered by another veterinary technician who ensured that she received round-the-clock care so that any medical requirements were immediately addressed. Her foster mom reported that she is sassy at times (imagine!!) and snuggly at other times. She is a very fortunate little girl, as are all those DunRoamin'.On July 19, 2017, Oasis met a young couple from Woodstock. They immediately fell in love and the rest, as they say, is history. We look forward to seeing photos and hearing stories as you grow and interact with your new sister. Congratulations to all!

Zedd came to us from Beechwood on June 9, 2017. He was a stray whom a lady had been feeding for a couple of years but he had never come in the house. She noticed that he was limping and appeared to be injured.He was examined and found to have open wounds on all legs - he must have been through something terrible! Zedd was initially terrified, but slowly settled in. His wounds have been cleaned, he was put on medication, neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV and FeLV. On July 9, 2017, Zedd went to live with a nice gentleman in Arthurette where he'll be well cared for. He will never have to experience injury again and will have the life he's always wanted - love, care, attention, food, water, shelter - what's not to love!?!? Way to go, Zedd. Best wishes to you!!

Lochlyn - cuteness overload! Lochlyn came to us through the NB SPCA on June 14, 2017. She had been found near Jackson Falls, NB, and two of her siblings were already dead. She was born about May 15, 2017.Lochlyn was vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, etc, and quickly became a happy, healthy, purring little girl. She is very vocal with a raspy, "pay attention to me NOW!!" meow - very large for such a little one. She is hesitant when she first meets people but quickly overcomes that! She likes to be held and cuddled, and she especially loves her beautiful home-made bed courtesy of her friend Judy who made it especially for her, knowing that she had lost her siblings and might like to feel warm, safe and secure. Thanks, Judy, it's perfect!! Thanks also to Lochlyn's foster mother for taking her in while she awaited all her vaccines so that she can join other cats! She was fostered with three dogs, too, so she learned to love them also. She also loves kids!!On July 6, 2017, Lochlyn was adopted by a gentleman in Florenceville-Bristol, where she'll be loved beyond description by him and his grandchildren! Congratulations, Lochlyn! Amorah came to us on May 15, 2017, from Jacksonville where she and eight siblings were found on the side of the road. One of her brothers, Sampson, did not survive. You can read about him on our Pet Memorials page.Amorah had severe ear mites and a large abscess on her side. She was treated and was soon doing exceptionally well. She was born about March 15, 2017 and is a going concern! She loves to run, play and cuddle in her foster home where she rules the roost (if you can catch her - she is so full of joy!!) She's very loving and very entertaining - she certainly knows how to display her gratitude for all the help she's received!On July 5, 2017, Amorah was adopted by a young lady from Hartland. Palmer came back to DunRoamin' on May 2, 2017. He originally came to DunRoamin' on September 21, 2012 from the Hartland area where he was trying to survive at a dumpster. He had no one to help him. He was skinny, had fleas, was dehydrated, had an extremely bad case of upper respiratory infection and tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+). He loves to be brushed, enjoys all the attention he can glean and loves to cuddle. Palmer was born about March, 2010.On June 19, 2017, Palmer met a young couple who thought he is the most handsome and affectionate cat they have met. Granite came to DunRoamin' on April 29, 2017 from the Hartland area. He had fleas and had been experiencing diarrhea for several days and appeared to be in renal failure. It was discovered that he had ingested a foreign body which caused an obstruction in his bowel, but now that it has been removed, he's going to be fine. Granite was born about November 1, 2015.Granite is a sweet, loving, playful and affectionate little boy. He loves people and is anxious for a home and family of his own.On June 11, 2017, he got his wish. Granite was adopted by a young couple from Woodstock where he'll be the most spoiled cat ever! Haven came to us from Juniper on February 3, 2017, another stray whom no one could take in. He was named Haven because he really needed one. He had various cuts and scratches around his ears and was not a happy camper. He needed help and friends, both of which he received. He was born about June 3, 2013.Haven was immediately neutered and vaccinated. As he was upset and scared about all his new circumstances, he received a nice set of blue Soft Paws so his nails could not do any damage. Although he still had a way to go, by the evening he was already much more calm and relaxed because he realized that he was safe, fed, had shelter and had nothing to fear. Haven has blue eyes, which means he could potentially have a hearing problem, but we have confirmed that he hears just fine. He's a very nice boy who settled in well. He is handsome, intelligent and loving, and he's just waiting for the perfect family who will appreciate those traits. During the first week of March, 2017, he displayed a bit of upper respiratory infection, but he quickly overcame it. He has the most mesmerizing eyes - that beautiful blue will capture your heart!!On June 12, 2017, Haven got the dream he'd been wishing for. He was adopted by a young couple from Florenceville where he'll have a feline brother, Cheech, and will rule his humans' house! Congratulations, Haven. Send photos very soon!

Shoobie and "Newbie" originally came to DunRoamin' on May 2, 2017 from the Plaster Rock area. They were adopted to a home in Hartland in 2017, but due to unavoidable circumstances not related to them, they returned to us on June 30, 2021. They are brothers who were born about April 22, 2015.These beautiful orange tabby boys are very loving and affectionate. They have always lived together, are very bonded and it is our wish that they not be separated as they are very close. Both are cuddle cats who love sleeping on their humans and enjoy lots of attention and affection - they'll return many times what they get! They are a bit difficult to tell apart until you get to know them and their personalities, but that comes quickly, even though they are very much alike. They look forward to meeting someone who wants feline companionship and love, because they have lots of it and are willing to give it in spades!!! They are neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and their vaccines are all up to date. Blossom came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 from the NB SPCA, one of a very large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. Blossom had ear mites and was pregnant. Blossom was born about May 24, 2012. She was vaccinated and received treatment for all parasites, as well as tested for FIV and FeLV. She's very friendly and affectionate, and she's waiting for that perfect person to come take her home. She has a great personality and is a beautiful pewter gray. On May 23, 2017, Blossom, now named Ellie, was adopted by a very nice lady from Woodstock where her new best friends will be two humans and a Lab. Congratulations, Blossom! You've got it made now!! Eloise came to DunRoamin' on May 2, 2017. She originally came to us on December 6, 2013 from Fredericton where she was one of 143 animals who were seized by the NB SPCA. Eloise had an eye infection, fleas, was very thin, dehydrated and had periodontal disease and stomatitis which required the removal of several teeth. Eloise is timid around strangers and although she doesn't mind being patted, she doesn't enjoy being picked up. She gets along well with other cats and loves a soft, cushy bed. She particularly enjoys sleeping on her human's pillow at night. Eloise is FIV+ - please read below to learn about this. She is healthy and hopes to go to a nice, quiet home where she'll be spoiled with her favourite love - canned food!!On May 19, 2017, Eloise was fortunate to go to the most loving home she will ever know! She has full run of the house and loves her cat friends. And she especially loves sleeping on her mom's bed. Congratulations, Eloise! Home!!

London came back to us on May 2, 2017. She originally came to us on August 24, 2009 from Oakland where she was found with two kittens, Paris and Roam, on the dump road where she was trying to keep her family alive. She had worms, fleas, earmites and was starving from trying to survive and keep her kittens alive also. All became healthy and were adopted.London is extremely loving and affectionate - her favourite thing to do is to be loved! She happily greets all humans and displays her wonderful personality by purring, rubbing and head butting. London was born about February 7, 2008. She is beautiful with her shiny pewter gray fur! On May 17, 2017, London was very happy to greet the new love of her life. A young man from Woodstock had entered her room and she was immediately smitten, as was he. When he came to pick her up, she immediately got up and ran to him, then went into the carrier that would take her home. Congratulations, London! A match made in heaven!! Write soon!

Blaire originally came to DunRoamin' on October 30, 2012 from Woodstock where she was an orphan found all alone with no mother. She was born about October 15, 2012, so was only about two weeks old and would never have had a chance. On December 4, 2012, she was adopted by a family in Plaster Rock.On May 2, 2017, Blaire returned to DunRoamin' due to circumstances beyond her control. She is a very fortunate little girl, because . . .On May 2, 2017, Blaire was adopted by a family in Plaster Rock. She will have a wonderful home there with her new feline siblings. Judson came to DunRoamin' from Upper Brighton on March 8, 2017. He had been seeking shelter from the cold in the cellar of a home in which a furnace was providing some heat. The people there were feeding him, but they had their full quota of cats to look after, so he needed some help. He was born about March 8, 2016.Judson had fleas, earmites and the normal array of parasites. He also had a swollen nose, superficial healing wounds and enlarged lymph nodes, all of which were treated. He also had an upper respiratory infection. He is VERY social and loving, so he's belonged to someone at some point in his life. He has now been neutered.On April 8, 2017, Judson went to his new home in Fredericton where he'll be a friend for another ex-DunRoamin' cat, Polly. Congratulations, Judson, you did great! Lief and his three siblings came to us from Upper Brighton on May 17, 2016 where they had been trying to survive at an abandoned house. They had no one to care for them. Two of his siblings were very wild and preferred to live in a barn, so they were very fortunate to move to the Ark Animal Sanctuary in Houlton, ME, where they found caring homes. Lief's sister, Tesla, is still with us and awaiting a home of her own.Lief (pronounced "Life") was initially scared but is now a cuddle cat. He is now only slightly hesitant to be picked up, but once he's in your arms, he hums and purrs and kneads, happy to be held and cuddled. He is easily getting over his hesitation about new people and he loves his team of servants! He was born about July 29, 2015. On January 30, 2017, Lief met a young lady who had just moved back to Florenceville who was looking for a cuddle cat to keep her cat company. It didn't take long for Lief to convince her that he was her boy! Congratulations, Lief! Please don't forget to send lots of photos! Snicket came to us from the Greenfield area on January 18, 2017 and he was in rough shape. He was emaciated, very dehydrated, starving, had very inflamed ears, many ear mites, had irritation around his nostrils and anus and the tip of his right ear was frostbitten. It eventually fell off, and some of the pads on his feet did the same, due to the frostbite injuries he received while out in the cold all by himself. He was just a baby, born about May 18, 2016.All Snicket's problems were immediately addressed. He got a nice warm bed, medication for what ailed him, lots of healthy, nutritious food and people who will care for him exactly as he deserved to be cared for. Snicket was "a work in progress," but he made great strides and was soon ready to go to a loving home. He's heard so many stories about how wonderful a family can be for a little kitten that he just can't wait to experience it for himself! On March 31, 2017, he got to experience it for himself when a young couple from Woodstock came to make him their very own. He will now live with Maxie, another ex-DunRoamin' cat and they'll be best friends forever. Congratulations, Snicket!!

Bowen was returned to DunRoamin' on January 16, 2017 from Riverbank where he had lived since October 20, 2013. He had developed crystals in his urine and his owner was unable to care for him. He had originally come to DunRoamin' on August 10, 2013 when he was abandoned in a box outside the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic. He was born about May 15, 2013.Bowen is a beautiful long-haired boy who is exceptionally friendly and affectionate. He is laid back, unassuming and quiet - he just likes his lovin'! If there's a human in the room, he's rubbing, head butting and purring while he sneaks up onto a lap to get that extra bit of affection. He requires a diet of Urinary S/O food and he is medication to clear his urinary tract infection. He is also on an appetite stimulant to ensure he eats appropriately, but we're hoping in the near future he'll be 100% again. It's been a long haul!On March 11, 2017, Bowen was chosen to live with a family in the Bath area. He requires medication, frequent weigh-ins and prescription food to ensure he doesn't block again and his family is committed to ensuring that he will get back to perfect health. Congratulations, Bowen!

Vayne came to us on the afternoon of January 23, 2017 from Clearview where he had been found in a snowbank on the side of the road. He was scared, so not easy to catch, but the lady persevered and when he got in snow too deep for him to move quickly she was able to catch him. She checked with neighbours, but no one seemed to know him. Although he was scared, it was obvious that he was familiar with homes and people.Vayne was unneutered, very heavily matted and full of burdocks. He must have been cold, since the matts would not allow his body to retain as much heat, since his fur would not have the ability to do it's job of keeping him warm. Vayne had to be completely shaved to remove the matts and burdocks. He's happy to be safe, warm and to have a full belly. We'd like to thank Vayne's rescuer for saving him and for the generous donation she brought to help with his neuter, vaccines, FeLV/FIV tests, parasite control, food and any additional medical care he may require. We are so grateful for your donation to help this little guy. He really is a sweetheart.On March 9, 2017, Vayne hit the jackpot. He was adopted into the loving family of a very nice couple in Perth-Andover. As an added bonus, his friend Burnett (see above) was also adopted to keep him company. Thanks for giving them such a great home! Congratulations to all!!

Petal came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 from the NB SPCA, part of a large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. Petal had ear mites and an upper respiratory infection which was treated, but she was otherwise healthy. She could have very easily have become much more sick without the medical intervention she received. She's very cute and affectionate. Petal was born about November 22, 2016. She was vaccinated and received treatment for all parasites, as well as tested for FIV and FeLV. Her beautiful pewter colouring and her gorgeous green eyes ensured she had many people who would have liked to welcome her to their home, but she had already stolen the heart of a gentleman, so . . .On March 4, 2017, Petal moved to Dieppe where she's now the very best new friend of a couple who will love her forever. She is very fortunate to have such a loving family and we're thankful for the home they've given her and for the wonderful and generous show of support they have provided for the strays to come in the near future. Yeti and "Kyla" came to us on January 7, 2017 where they had originally come from the Wakefield area where their siblings had been part of a seizure from the NB SPCA. They were born approximately October 6, 2016. They had worms, earmites and were vomiting and had diarrhea which took some time to cure. They also had upper respiratory infection which required ongoing medication and care.They soon became much healthier with a good diet, medication and lots of care. Upon examination, it was determined that Kyla had an ulcer on her eye and that both knees had luxating patellas, a condition in which the kneecap "floats." It is our hope that as she grows this will not be a problem. Her eye is now perfectly fine, thanks to vet care and proper medical intervention. It was also learned that Yeti, the little boy, had at least four and probably five cracked ribs - old fractures that had already healed. Seeing as he was only three months old when he arrived with us, we're sad that he had to experience such pain at such a young age. All that changed the day these two little beauties arrived at DunRoamin' though, and now their lives are about to change again, because . . .On March 4, 2017, Yeti and Kyla were adopted by a very nice lady in Oromocto. They will now be new friends for Hazel, another ex-DunRoamin' stray and her other four-footed family members. Congratulations, Yeti and Kyla! All that changed the day these two little beauties arrived at DunRoamin' though, and now their lives are about to change again, because . . .On March 4, 2017, Yeti and Kyla were adopted by a very nice lady in Oromocto. They will now be new friends for Hazel, another ex-DunRoamin' stray and her other four-footed family members. Congratulations, Yeti and Kyla! Please don't forget to send us lots of photos so we can watch how much more beautiful you become!!

Whispurr came to us from near Woodstock on January 4, 2017 when she and five siblings were surrendered to the SPCA from a place overflowing with cats. All her siblings, Windsor, Wellington, Wilbur, Wren and Whitney were black and VERY cute! They were born about October 5, 2016. All had earmites and fleas which were treated. Whispurr had upper respiratory but with a little love, care and medication, she became fine. Whispurr is a sweet little girl who loves sleeping and playing with her siblings.On February 23, 2017, we learned that she would have a loving home in Pembroke with a wonderful lady who also invited her brother, Wilbur (see above) to join the family! Congratulations, Whispurr! Have a great life!

Hazel came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 from the NB SPCA, part of a large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. Hazel had ear mites but was otherwise healthy. She's also very cute and affectionate. She's a very friendly little girl. Hazel was born about August 10, 2016. She was vaccinated, spayed and received treatment for all parasites, as well as tested for FIV and FeLV. She was initially very reserved but has become very friendly and affectionate as she became more comfortable with her human friends. Hazel loves to play and she'll grab your heart with those big, round, beautiful green eyes!On February 22, 2017, Hazel met a very nice lady from Oromocto who thought she was the most beautiful kitten ever! Hazel has been welcomed as the newest member of this family and she couldn't be happier! Thanks for giving her a loving home. Please send lots of photos!

Lupin came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 from the NB SPCA, part of a large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. Lupin had ear mites but was otherwise healthy. She's also very cute and affectionate. She was initially a little bit timid, but quickly got over that once she realized she had lots of human friends to cuddle her. Lupin was born about November 22, 2016. She was vaccinated and received treatment for all parasites, as well as tested for FIV and FeLV. She was also treated for upper respiratory infection. She is trusting, friendly, affectionate and hopes for a family with the same characteristics!On February 19, 2017, Lupin met a young lady who fit all those qualities. She now lives in Glassville where she is this young lady's best friend. Congratulations, Lupin, and congratulations to your new family too! Send lots of photos!!

Wren came to us from near Woodstock on January 4, 2017 when she and five siblings were surrendered to the SPCA from a place overflowing with cats. All her siblings, Windsor, Wellington, Whispurr, Wilbur and Whitney are black and VERY cute! They were born about October 5, 2016. All had earmites and fleas which were treated. Wren had upper respiratory but her medication helped her quickly overcome that. She also had a tail injury which required a part of her tail to be amputated, but she's fine now. She's anxious for a loving family to care for her.On February 19, 2017, Wren's dream came true. She is now part of the family of a very nice young lady who also has Luna, formerly Diega DunRoamin'. Whitney came to us from near Woodstock on January 4, 2017 when she and five siblings were surrendered to the SPCA from a place overflowing with cats. All her siblings, Windsor, Wellington, Whispurr, Wren and Wilbur are black and VERY cute! Whitney had a squinty left eye from upper respiratory infection, earmites and fleas, but she was treated, spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV, FeLV and all parasites. They were born about October 5, 2016. Whitney and her siblings had complete run of their very own room which they enjoyed tremendously. But the best day of all was . . .. . . February 19, 2017, when she was adopted by a young lady who also has Luna, formerly Diega DunRoamin'. And Whitney's sister, Wren (see above), got to go along, too! They all now live in Truro, NS but will be visiting Carleton County often! Congratulations, Whitney!

Wellington came to us from near Woodstock on January 4, 2017 when he and five siblings were surrendered to the SPCA from a place overflowing with cats. All his siblings, Windsor, Wellington, Whispurr, Wren and Whitney are black and VERY cute! All had fleas, upper respiratory infection and ear mites which were treated. They were born about October 5, 2016. All are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and are eagerly awaiting homes. On February 18, 2017, Wellington was adopted by a couple in Florenceville who just could not resist his charms. He is very happy to have his very own family! Flint came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 from the NB SPCA, part of a large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. He lived outside so did not know "warm and safe," but he does now! Flint had ear mites but was otherwise healthy. He's also very cute and friendly, now that he knows what it's like to have an indoor home! Flint was born about November 1, 2016. He was vaccinated and received treatment for all parasites, as well as tested for FIV and FeLV. He's very friendly and affectionate, and is anxious for his very own home.On February 18, 2017, he met a young lady who is making his fondest wish come true. He will now be her very best cuddly, loving friend. Now an official resident of Richibucto Road, Flint is very excited about his new life. Gandalf came to DunRoamin' on January 24, 2017 from the NB SPCA, part of a large number of cats who were living together who needed some help. Gandalf had ear mites and an upper respiratory infection but was otherwise healthy. He was also very cute and was a little bit timid at first, but he became comfortable very quickly!! Gandalf was born about November 24, 2016. He was vaccinated and received treatment for all parasites, as well as tested for FIV and FeLV. He had a small problem with his breathing for a short time, but he's received treatment and observation and we're sure he's going to be fine. He's very friendly and affectionate. On February 17, 2017, Gandalf was adopted by a lady from Hay Settlement where he'll live very happily with her and her four-footed family which includes another cat who is virtually identical to Gandalf in appearance. Gandalf will now be known as "PeteTheCat".

Windsor came to us from near Woodstock on January 4, 2017 when he and five siblings were surrendered to the SPCA from a place overflowing with cats. All his siblings, Wilbur, Wellington, Whispurr, Wren and Whitney are black and VERY cute! All had fleas, upper respiratory infection and ear mites which were treated. They were born about October 5, 2016.Windsor, like his siblings, is cute as all get out! He loves to wrestle and play with any loose strings, no matter what they're attached to! He is very outgoing and affectionate. On February 18, 2017, Windsor was adopted by a young lady from Fredericton. She is VERY excited to have him as a new member of her family, and Windsor seconds the sentiment! Please keep in touch, Windsor! We'll miss you!

Ingersol came to us on January 19, 2017 from the Nackawic area where he was a stray who came to the door of a man who realized he needed help. He had a large wound on his left front leg, most probably a bite wound, which had been there so long it had festered and abscessed.Ingersol was treated for his injury. He was put on antibiotic medication for the infection, was neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and underwent laser therapy for his infected wound. He's very gentle and sociable. He was born about July 18, 2013. He's obviously familiar with people and homes, so we're thinking he's been lost for a while. On January 27, 2017, Ingersol's family attended to claim him. He will now go back to his home in Nackawic. Stay safe, Ingersol!

ChitChat came to DunRoamin' on May 30, 2017 from Jacksonville where he had been discovered on the porch of a lady who observed that he needed help. Upon examination, it was noted that he was emaciated, dehydrated, had ear mites and had quills in his mouth, neck, lips, front feet and above his eye. ChitChat was born about July 30, 2016.All ChitChat's needs were addressed and he was neutered as well. He was tested for FIV and FeLV and Chit Chat tested positive for FeLV. Due to the fact that FeLV is contagious to other cats, Chit Chat should live as the only cat in the household, or perhaps with another FeLV+ cat. You can read about FeLV here.ChitChat is a very nice boy who is grateful to be pain-free, warm and have food in his belly. He was quickly eating up a storm, grateful to have the quills removed from his mouth. How painful that must have been! No wonder he was so skinny - he didn't even weigh five pounds! He is very loving and very grateful for the help. He just wishes he had a home and/or another cat for company!!On July 23, 2017, ChitChat was made the happiest little boy EVER when a young couple from Fredericton met him and decided that he'd be the perfect friend for their FeLV+ cat, Kuro. Catosaurus Rex came to us on April 7, 2017 from the Stickney area. He had been seen in the area for a couple of days, but on this day he was injured. He had fleas, healing wounds all over his head and an infected right front paw. He had not yet been neutered.Rex was a little scared and hissed when first approached, but allowed himself to be patted. He was soon fine once he realized he was no longer in any form of danger and that he was with friends. He lived with Peace and Derp until . . .. . . June 20, 2017, when he was adopted by a very nice lady and her young daughter. They all fell immediately in love with each other, and Rex now resides in Upper Brighton. We can't wait to see lots of photos and hear all about your new life! Congratulations, Rex!
