Meet "Skid." She came from the Perth-Andover area on September 9, 2015, when someone had seen her struck by a vehicle. Skid was born about June 1, 2015.Skid was examined by our vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic but was, fortunately, without major injury - just some abrasions around her ears. She was a very lucky little girl.Skid is very playful and affectionate. She had no parasites upon arrival and she has been vaccinated and spayed. Her best new friend is Alphonso (see below) with whom she loves to run, play and wrestle.On December 20, 2015, Skid met the best friend of Alphonso's new mom (see below) and she won her heart. Skid now lives next door to his friend Alphonso and they'll see each other often. Congratulations, everyone!! Send photos, Skid!!

Alphonso and his four sisters were brought to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic after normal working hours during the evening of October 8, 2015 as they had reportedly been found in a box on the side of the road in Oakland just minutes earlier. They were born about August 27, 2015 and had no one who was willing to take care of them. Matilda came to us from the Juniper area on July 25, 2014 where she had been found on the road. She was pregnant and had no one to care for her. She's a very nice little girl who was born about July 25, 2012.Matilda is quiet, very affectionate and loves people. She wants only a family with whom to share her life and love. She will be the perfect best friend for anyone who will be hers! She is the first one to climb onto your lap and settle in for a good long purring nap. Ursula came to us on September 29, 2015 from the Bristol area. A lady had heard her crying in the woods but had been unable to encourage her to come for help. She was eventually live-trapped and brought to DunRoamin'. Ursula was very skinny and did not want to eat, so had to be fed by syringe. On her second day she began to eat a little on her own. Now she's eating like there's no tomorrow! She loves attention and would like to have her very own human to wait on her hand and foot! On December 16, 2015, Ursula got her very first Christmas present. Now known as Noelle, she is the newest family member of a family in Florenceville where she will sleep on the pillow of her best new friend. Congratulations, Noelle! Please write often!!

Myers came to DunRoamin' from the Hartland area on October 22, 2015 where he, his mom and three other kittens were trying to survive on their own. They had no one to feed them or provide adequate shelter. One of the kittens, Tricera, was missing part of her hind leg.Myers was timid, but the most accepting of humans of the three kittens. He was born about September 3, 2015 and hoped for a family to love and care for him in the near future.On December 5, 2015, he got his Christmas wish. He will now be the new best friend of a little boy named Myer, so he is now Myer's Myers! Congratulations!! Merry Christmas!!

Minerva came to DunRoamin' on August 10, 2014 from the Centreville area. She was a cat being fed by a senior citizen who had four kittens who were born on the evening of August 9th: Phaedra, Lorcan, Lucien and Lonnie, all of whom have been adopted.Minerva and her family were very fortunate to be fostered by a very kind lady and her husband in Fredericton where the kittens all grew up with much love and attention. They (and we) are all very grateful.Now that Minerva's job as mom is done, she'd like to be a housecat where she can dedicate her love and affection completely to her very own human. On November 30, 2015, Minerva was adopted by a lady and her young daughter. She now lives with them in Jacksonville. Please remember to send lots of photos, Minerva! We'll miss you!

Tux came to us on November 8, 2015 from the Fredericton area where he had been living in a colony. He was born about November 8, 2011 and he had tested FIV-positive. Tux had an infected right front foot and a fractured tooth.On November 18, 2015, Tux went to be a foster cat at the home of one of DunRoamin's best friends where he proved himself to be a sweet little boy who soaked up affection without hesitation. There, he and three-legged ex-DunRoamin' cat, Quill (now known as Quinn) chase each other around the house - they're getting along great!On November 28, 2015, we learned that his foster mother and Quinn would now become his permanent family. He and Quinn are both lucky little boys and we thank their new mom for her generosity and kindness for these two little boys.

Amos came to us on August 12, 2015 from Riverbank area where he was thought to be injured. When examined, he was found to be fine, but he tested positive for FIV. He was born about August 12, 2013.Amos is very loving and affectionate. He'd like to be a housecat where he can enjoy the favours of humans and give back as he can. As of October 28, 2015, he was fostered by a kind lady in Holmesville and hoped for a permanent home soon.On December 1, 2015, Amos got his wish when his foster mother decided that she'd like him to be a permanent part of her family. She loves him and that's that! Congratulations, Amos! We look forward to hearing stories of you and your new home!!

Lawless came to us on November 5, 2015 from the Woodstock area when she was found after having been abandoned by her mother. She had been born about October 22, 2015, so was only about two weeks old - much to young to survive on her own.Lawless lived in a foster home where her foster mother fed her with a tiny bottle and stimulated her to use the bathroom until she was old enough to do all these things on her own. Lawless purrs even at such a young age and is a priceless little girl! She's not sure what happened to her family, but is looking forward to bonding with a new one. On November 26, 2015 we learned that she already had a permanent home. Her foster mother who had been caring for her every single day since her arrival has decided (as we all knew she would!) that she could not possibly live without her. Lawless is still not old enough to eat, pee or poop on her own, but she will continue to be cared for by her loving foster mom for the rest of her live. Congratulations, Lawless. Jackpot, Little Girl!!!

Lillbit came to us on June 13, 2015 from Fielding where she had been inhabiting the same shed as Sue Ellen and her four babies. Lillbit was initially thought to be a feral male, but when she was caught we learned that she was female, very friendly and had two little babies of her own, Fender and Gibson. Lillbit is a very gentle and loving little girl and she has one blue eye. She's tiny for her age, but that goes with all the responsibility of caring for her family when she's so little herself. She's a real sweetheart.On November 21, 2015, Lillbit was adopted by a family in Centreville where she'll be a pet for twin girls. Congratulations, Lillbit. Please write soon!

Polka Dot came to DunRoamin' on August 27, 2015 from the Bath area where she had been found all alone in an abandoned house. She had much mucous coming from her nose, indicating an upper respiratory infection. How was a young baby to survive on her own? She was born about July 23, 2015.It was truly fortunate that little Polka Dot was found. Upon examination, her vet determined that she had a condition called Persistent Right Aortic Arch (PRAA). This is a condition in which a blood vessel encircling her esophagus failed to regress and now constricts her esophagus, allowing only small amounts of liquid food to pass through to her stomach. She can frequently regurgitate food that cannot pass through, so could effectively starve to death or aspirate the liquid food.Polka Dot was fostered by a vet tech who fed her liquids by syringe in an upright position numerous times daily. Her vet monitored her condition on a frequent basis in an attempt to help her grow large enough to undergo open chest surgery to correct this defect. Once this surgery is completed, her esophagus should open enough for her to be capable of eating regular food on her own with no after effects. We're hoping this will be the case.Polka Dot is a cute, playful, happy little girl. Donations toward Polka Dot's surgery were gratefully accepted and she thanks those who donated through Canada Helps, e-transfers, cheques and cash donations at DunRoamin'. Please check out our Donations Page to see a list of some of her friends who have helped her to date. Thank you so very much.On November 19, 2015, Polka Dot underwent surgery to repair her defect. The surgery was successful and she's doing very well! She came home on the evening of Sunday, November 22, 2015. As a celebratory corollary to this wonderful story, her adoption was made offical on this day! We knew it was going to happen, so what a perfect day to celebrate the beginning of a new life. Thanks to her new mom for all her love and support. Congratulations, Polka Dot! You'll always be special!!

Graham and his brother Nichol (see below) were returned to DunRoamin' on September 22, 2015. They had originally come to us on June 29, 2015 from a location where they and four other siblings had been abandoned. Unfortunately, people there were ill equipped to deal with the feeding and additional requirements for so many orphaned kittens so they were taken to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where Dr Monteith accepted them into her care as they required immediate medical attention. Sadly, one of the siblings, Jayme, was unable to be saved. Her siblings miss her. Graham and his brothers and sisters were born about May 11, 2015. They quickly became healthy and happy little fur balls thanks to Dr Monteith's skills and compassion. They were adopted on July 10, but the family dog took exception to their species so they came back to us to find a safe home.On November 18, 2015, a very nice lady stopped in to DunRoamin' to contribute to Polka Dot's surgery. While here, she met Graham and Nichol and immediately fell in love. It was mutual. Both Graham and Nichol now live in Upper Kent with Hamilton, another ex-DunRoamin' stray and their five other four-footed new siblings. Congratulations!!

Leah came to DunRoamin' on September 14, 2015 from the Lower Kintore area where she had been found on the road. Perhaps she had been struck by a vehicle. Her rescuer immediately noticed that she was injured and brought her for help. She was born about July 7, 2015.Leah's back legs were splaying, she had an open wound on her inner right hind leg and an abrasion on her face. She was x-rayed which determined she had a cracked bone in her spine. She experienced no paralysis, so we hoped with some love, tenderness and exceptional veterinary care she'd be fine. She needed kennel rest for the next few weeks to allow her back to heal, but her vet had high hopes for her complete recovery, as did we all. And we were not disappointed! Leah is in fine shape and she loves to run and play to prove it!On November 13, 2015, Leah went to her new home in Fredericton where she'll be the new best friend of a young man who had fallen in love with her the very first time he met her. Congratulations, Leah, have a great life!

Mallone came to DunRoamin' along with her friend Finnick on July 24, 2015. She had been part of a family that could no longer keep either of them so she and Finnick came back to DunRoamin' to get a new family. Mallone was a bit scared initially, not quite sure what was going on, but she learned very quickly that she was among friends. In the few months that Mallone has been with us, she has become one of the most outgoing and loving of DunRoamin's cats. She is a real beauty with an amazing personality.On November 12, 2015, Mallone met a young couple from Beardsley who welcomed her into their family of four children where she'll be a friend for their other cat. Congratulations, Mallone!

Eliza came to DunRoamin' on October 13, 2015. She and her sister and two brothers had been left in a box and had to be live-trapped because they were so scared. Other than having ticks, all kittens were healthy. They were born about August 4, 2015.Eliza wass the most timid of her siblings. She had a slight infection in her left eye which has been treated. She's healthy, happy and very pleased to have been rescued and given a new lease on life. She is most grateful.On November 8, 2015, a family from Southampton met Eliza and fell in love. Eliza is now the newest family member and is grateful to have two young boys to grow up with. We thank this family for giving her a life, a home and a family.

Freddi came to DunRoamin' with her mom and three other kittens on October 22, 2015. She was born about September 3, 2015 and had been living under a home in the Hartland area but had no one to feed her and no real shelter for the coming cold winter months. The days and evenings are already too cool for a little baby kitten to survive.Freddi was scared and initially hissed if a human reached for her, but she's realized that the hands that touch her are gentle and that she has nothing to fear. She is a beautiful long-haired little girl and she was grateful to the couple who are fostering her and her two brothers.On November 5, 2015, Freddi was adopted by the lady who has always wanted her ever since she saw her photo on this website. It has been her fondest wish to have her as part of her family and Freddi is happy to have been chosen. Congratulations!

Rudolph came to DunRoamin' on December 15, 2014 from Lower Brighton where he had been a stray. The people who found him couldn't keep him because they were allergic. He had been hanging around their home for about a month but had no one to provide him with food or assistance.Rudolph was thin, dehydrated, and all four feet were covered with infected wounds. He was born about December 15, 2013. Rudolph was very friendly and happy that he was now safe. Beats being out there in the cold all alone by a long shot! He lived with five other cats and was happy to be warm, safe, fed and have some feline company. And human company, too, of course! His best friend very quickly became Connery, with whom he would cuddle and play.On October 31, 2015, Rudolph was adopted by a young lady in Woodstock. And guess what??! His best friend Connery (see below) got to go too! Thanks to Heather for giving them both a great home! Happy Hallowe'en!

Connery came to us on the evening of November 23, 2014 from the Florenceville area where he was a stray who was being fed by a family who realized he had no one to care for him. He was quite scared and potentially feral. On this day, the family observed that there was blood in the dish he was eating from and requested a live trap to catch him to help with his injury. Connery was born about November 25, 2011.Connery was live-trapped and delivered to DunRoamin'. Upon assessment by his vet, it was determined that he was injury free - it was not his blood! Connery was born about November 23, 2013 and he has long black fur with some white on his nose and chest. He is a beautiful boy who was trying to accept the compassion of strangers. As of January 29, 2015, he was much more comfortable with people. He loves to have his chin rubbed and his back scratched and will reward you with a very loud and deep purr!On October 31, 2015, Connery was adopted by a young lady from Woodstock. He and his best friend Rudolph will now be her newest family members. Connery is grateful for a home and family and he's particularly grateful that his friend Rudolph (see above) got to go with him!

Clara was one of four kittens who came to us on June 16, 2015 from Oakland where they had been born to an unspayed mother cat who was reported to have run away. They were born on May 26, 2015.Clara and her siblings lived in a foster home where she had the time of her life with her siblings and new foster friends. She then came back to DunRoamin' where she enjoyed her time until . . .. . . October 28, 2015, when her new father travelled all the way from Fredericton to come get her. He had seen her photo and fallen in love - what's a guy to do when that happens? Clara now lives happily in Fredericton with her new love. Please send us lots of photos, Clara! Your foster families will miss seeing you play all day!

Finnick came back to DunRoamin' on July 24, 2015 along with his friend Mallone (see below). Finnick was born about April 18, 2012 and had originally come to us on May 15, 2012 from Arthurette where he and his five siblings had been abandoned. All had been named after Hunger Games characters. Finnick had been adopted on May 29, 2015 but his owners were no longer able to keep him, so he was returned to us.Finnick is a beautiful little boy. He loves people and will turn himself upside down (and almost inside out!) if you'll pat him. And what a purr he has! He hopes for a new home soon. On October 16, 2015, Finnick met a nice lady from Northampton. He and his friend Foxy (see below) will now live with her. Congratulations, Finnick! Write soon!

Foxy came to DunRoamin' from the Greenfield area on August 21, 2014. She was born about January 20, 2014. She had been an indoor cat, but had decided to check out the great outdoors for the very first time. It is not safe out there, as she soon remembered when she was attacked by a wild animal.Foxy sustained extremely serious injuries to her stomach area. She had a fever, was dehydrated and had infected bite wounds on her abdomen resulting in an abdominal wall hernia. Her only option for surgery was to become DunRoamin'. Thanks to the medical care she received, she is now 100% healthy, happy and anxious for a new family. On October 16, 2015, Foxy met a nice lady from Northampton who decided that she and her friend Finnick (see above) should come live with her. Congratulations to all!

On July 23, 2012, four little one-week-old kittens, "Finn," "Kurt," Kenzie and Quinn came to DunRoamin' from McKenzie Corner, NB. They had no mother - she was either dead or missing - and they were in danger of dying without her. They were very tiny, cold and very hungry. Being so young, they were not yet versed in the ways of eating, peeing or pooping on their own - they needed a mom to teach them that. So absent that mom, two young vet techs took on the responsibility of caring for these little ones, which meant feeding them by syringe every few hours and stimulating them to pee and poop, as well as bathing them, keeping them warm and ensuring they were thriving as they should. It's a big responsibility, and we're all grateful for their efforts. Finn is white withe grey on his head, Kurt is orange and white, Kenzie has lots of colour, and Quinn is multi-coloured with white). Kenzie and Quinn are female. Finn and Kurt are boys. We're sad to report that on August 19, 2012, Kenzie and Quinn passed away. Finn and Kurt were fostered by an amazingly wonderful foster mother, and . . . . . . on January 5, 2013, she finally admitted to herself that there was just no way in the world she could ever give these two little ones up. They're family, and they're staying right where they are!! Congratulations, everyone! It's wonderful that you get to stay right exactly where you belong! Please send us updated family photos!

Luke came to us on April 22, 2015 when he was rescued by the NBSPCA along with two adults and 12 other kittens. Luke was born about February 22, 2015 and is a quiet little guy. Luke had ear mites, was thin and very scared, as were all his friends, but he quickly learned what it's like to be loved, cuddled and cared for. He was neutered and vaccinated as soon as possible and eagerly awaited a new home very soon. He is extremely affectionate and loving and his favourite place is on your shoulder or lap. Thanks to his foster family for taking him, his siblings and friends Artemus and Thora in. On October 15, 2015, Luke was adopted by a friend of DunRoamin' who lives in Moose Mountain. He will be a new friend for her two cats and dogs as well as his new best seven-year old human friend. Congratulations, Luke!

Rush came to DunRoamin' on June 5, 2015 from Fielding. Approximately five weeks ago she had been found on top of a steel-roofed home in Bristol and someone had gotten her down but she had not found a home. On June 4, 2015, she had again been seen at this house and people had taken her in and tried to feed her, but she would not eat. They asked DunRoamin' to provide medical care. Rush has not eaten in quite some time. She weighed 3.3 pounds but should easily have weighed twice that, as she was born about June 1, 2014. She had fleas, ear mites and her ears were infected and full of debris.Rush got all the care she needed and was treated for her parasites. She was also vaccinated, spayed and tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), as are all our cats. She loves people and is happy to be safe, warm and have a full belly.On October 6, 2015, she was happy to learn that she and her friend Pawdrey (see below) were to be part of a cat-loving family in Wicklow. Congratulations, Rush. Please drop a line soon to let us know how wonderful your new life is!

Pawdrey came to DunRoamin' on September 18, 2015 from the Perth-Andover area. She was born about April 24, 2014 and is a gorgeous long-haired orange, black and white little girl. This photo does not even come close to doing her beauty justice.Pawdry is very loving and attentive. She likes other cats and loves people. She likes to have company while she's eating and is looking forward to having a family of her very own very where she can enjoy family suppers.On October 14, 2015, Pawdrey got her wish: she and her friend Rush (see above) were adopted by a nice lady in Wicklow. Silas came to DunRoamin' on February 26, 2015 from Bristol. He had been rescued previously and had an ulcerated right hind ankle wound and at least three broken canine teeth. He was overweight and was lame on his leg which didn't appear to be healing the way it should.Silas was born about 2007 and is a very nice boy. His vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic had him better in no time and he's looking forward to that day so that he can go to a home. As his FIV test came back positive, he is hoping for a home as an only cat or with another FIV cat, or any home that wants a beautiful, loving, orange furball!Silas lived with five other FIV+ cats at DunRoamin' and is on a special diet to help him lose weight. He dreamed of having a home where he can get lots of exercise by running up and down halls and jumping on the bed to sleep with his human. On September 29, 2015, he got his wish. The previous week he had been chosen as a foster kitty for a wonderful family in Perth-Andover and he quickly endeared himself with his charms. He now spends his days running up and down the hall, up and down the stairs and snuggling with his favourite new humans. Stanza came to DunRoamin' on June 12, 2015 from Oakland where he had been living in a junkyard with no one to help him. Upon examination by a vet, he was diagnosed as being very thin, dehydrated, had a temperature and was not interested in eating due to a sore throat. The third eyelid on his left eye was also up and required medical attention. Stanza was born about June 15, 2013.Stanza was treated for all his afflictions. He is a very cute little boy who got better day by day and is hoping for a home. He is a very friendly cat and he loves to wait until he has company to eat, hoping you'll have a snack along with him! His eyelid was sutured to ensure it would be fine in the future and he feels so much better. On September 28, 2015, two young people attended DunRoamin' and identified Stanza as their friend who had gotten out of the house in June, 2015 and had not returned. They had searched for him and posted him on social media but had no inkling of where he was until a volunteer recognized him at DunRoamin' and informed his family. He is now back home, safe and sound.

Phaedra was born on August 9, 2015 to a stray cat in Centreville who was being fed by a senior citizen who was unable to undertake the care of the whole family. She, her mom and three brothers came to us to be cared for and to find a new home.Thankfully, a very nice lady stepped up to help us out, as we had no foster homes for these little ones. Since August 22, 2015, Phaedra and her family have lived with Krista in Fredericton we are more than grateful for her support and care.On September 27, 2015, Phaedra (renamed "Tigress") was adopted by a family in Keswick Ridge. She'll be the best new friend of a very nice young man who is happy to have his very own snuggle kitty. Congratulations, Tigress! Thanks, Noah!

Rosalee and Groves" returned to DunRoamin' on August 22, 2015 from Waterville. They had originally come to us from Coldstream on November 27, 2012. Rosalee's tail had fallen off due to cold, and she needed some help. Groves had severe earmites and a bad injury from the ankle to the hip of her right hind leg. Groves was born about June 1, 2012. Rosalee was born about November 30, 2009. Each loves the other and they wish to stay together. On September 24, 2015, they went to a home in Waterville where they'll get their wish. Congratulations, Groves and Rosalee.

Solar became a ward of DunRoamin' in the late afternoon of March 11, 2015 when she was abandoned in a box outside the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic with Ennis whom we believe is her sister. She was born about March 10, 2014. She was healthy and was scared, of course, but slowly started to trust the people who would care for her and find her a loving home.After just a few days at DunRoamin', Solar showed her true personality. She initially did not want to eat and had to be fed by syringe, but slowly figured out that it's more fun to eat on her own. Now she can't get enough, especially if it's canned food or Temptations! She is exceptionally affectionate with people and also loves dogs! She's happy to jump onto your lap or be held and cuddled. She's a real beauty.On September 19, 2015, Solar met her new friend from Woodstock with whom she will now share her life. She immediately fell in love with her new human who didn't stand a chance after gazing into those beautiful eyes. Thanks for giving her a home and family. Please write soon, Solar. Fender came to DunRoamin' along with her mom, Lillbit, and brother Gibson on June 13, 2015 from the Fielding area where Lillbit had been trying to feed and keep her kittens safe in a shed. A senior citizen had been feeding them but they needed more help. Fender and Gibson were born about May 11, 2015.Fender is a sweet little girl who loves her brother and mom. She's very playful and loves to wrestle with her brother who was adopted earlier, although he will leave for his new home the day after she does! On September 13, 2015, Fender's new family came to collect her. A fine young man is now her new best friend and they will grow up together. We look forward to seeing lots of photos and hearing about your wonderful new life! Congratulations!

Linah came to us on June 29, 2015 from a location where she and five siblings had been abandoned. Unfortunately, people there were ill equipped to deal with the feeding and additional necessary requirements for so many orphaned kittens. They were taken to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where Dr Monteith accepted them into her care as they required immediate medical attention. Sadly, one of the siblings, Jayme, was unable to be saved. Her siblings miss her. Linah (pronounced "Lee-na" - named after a friend of one of our favourite vet techs) and her brothers and sister were born about May 11, 2015. She is now a healthy and happy little furball thanks to Dr Monteith's skills and compassion. She has already had vaccinations and parasite medications and has been spayed. It's about time she had a family to care for her! She islooking forward to it very much!On September 8, 2015, she got her wish! She and her friend Octavia (see below) were both adopted by a very nice lady and her young son from Jacksonville. They will live happily ever after as cherished family members. Congratulations!!

Octavia came to us on June 29, 2015 from the Perth-Andover area where she was all alone. It was initially thought that she would require surgery to remove her right eye due to a tumour that had caused some damage, but thanks to the exceptional vet care she received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, she will keep her eye! Yay!! She was born about March 25, 2015.Octavia is a cute little girl who is standoffish for the first six seconds she meets someone, but then she cuddles in for a really good and loud purr and cuddle. She is anxious to meet her new family . . .. . . which she did on September 8, 2015. She and her friend Linah (see above) will now live in Jacksonville with their new young friend and his family. Hamilton came to us late in the evening of March 11, 2015 from the Bristol area where some people came home to find him in the wheel well of a vehicle which had been sitting in their yard. He immediately started howling loudly and followed them to the door, winding frantically around their feet and scratching and banging his head on their door. They noticed that he was very agitated, unsteady on his feet and did not seem to see well. A DunRoamin' volunteer attended and collected Hamilton to take him to medical assistance.Hamilton was emaciated, had a poor coat and had infected teeth which had a large amount of tartar on them. He also had a urinary tract infection and a bad infection in his left eye and he tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)**. He was born about March, 2005, if not before. He was very happy to have food and a warm bed and quickly calmed once he had food in his belly. He weighed eight pounds upon arrival, and is now a healthy weight - he is a long and tall cat! Maybe he'll even grow into those huge paws! He loves people and can't wait to be patted, hugged and held! He initially attacked his food as though he believed there might be no more once that was gone, but he's now learned that his old life is well over and a new one has begun. He's waiting for a family to whom he can express his undying love and gratitude.On September 2, 2015, Hamilton got his wish. He will be the newest well-loved member of a family in Upper Kent which includes three other cats and a dog. Hamilton will send us lots of photos and updates to help us not miss him so much. Diane came to us from Hartland on April 9, 2014 where she had been noticed wandering the streets all alone. Her ear appeared injured and she was hungry and cold. Diane was born about April 1, 2013. She was rescued by a lady from Holmesville who also made a generous monetary donation to help with her care. Thank you!Diane was pregnant, cold, hungry and had severe frostbite damage to her ears. If you've ever had the experience of having cold ears in the winter months, you'd know this would be very painful. The top part of her left ear came off when examined by a vet tech. She was given all the care and medical attention she deserves and was also spayed. She's very quiet, friendly and grateful to be warm and safe. She's very loving and is familiar with a home, so she's had a family at some point. On February 23, 2015, Diane was invited to spend some time with her friends at The Ark Animal Sanctuary in Houlton where she kept Lorraine company while she worked. On August 31, 2015, we learned that she had found a new home. She'll now live in Maine with her new family. She thanks Lorraine and all her friends at Hollywood Pet Salon for taking such good care of her and allowing her to be part of their family.

Knox came to us from Knoxford on February 24, 2015 where she was a stray who had come to a home asking for help. She was born about April 21, 2014. She was thin, cold and hungry. Knox is a very nice girl who happily soaked up all the warmth, comfort and food in her path! Shee spent much time resting up to regain her strength so she could properly meet, greet and play happily with the people who care for her and the family that will eventually adopt her. In April, the end of her tail had to be surgically removed due to frostbite, but she is perfectly happy and healthy. She particularly loves the exercise cat wheel and gets on it at every opportunity.On August 30, 2015, Knox met a very nice couple from Grand Lake. They had travelled all the way to meet her after seeing her photo on this website. They had also seen her video on the cat wheel, and knew that she would join them and their other three cats as part of their family. Congratulations, Knox! Please send lots of familiy photos!

Maureen returned to DunRoamin' on November 15, 2014 from Wakefield where she had been adopted on October 20, 2014. Her family was very happy to have her and she made them love her drastically, but unfortunately, their German Shepherd did not share the love. Although Maureen liked him, his prey drive was a bit too strong for Maureen to be safe, so, with heavy heart, her family had to give her up.Maureen readily settled back in at DunRoamin' with her friend Taco and seven other kittens. She was born on May 7, 2014. Maureen went to stay with a foster family on February 11 and was very grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful and compassionate family.On August 29, 2015, Maureen met a gentleman from Beechwood who fell in love with her immediately. She now lives with him and his family and will enjoy the high life! Congratulations, Maureen! Send us lots of photos!.

Tyler was one of four kittens who came to us on June 16, 2015 from Oakland where they had been born to an unspayed mother cat who was reported to have run away. They were born on May 26, 2015.Tyler is a VERY cute little guy who loves to play and he loved his foster father the best. He thanks this family for caring for him and giving him a chance at a real life and a loving home. He's very playful and loves to sleep in a cat pile!On August 28, 2015, he was adopted by a very nice young couple from Riverbank. He and his friend Vanessa (see below) will now be the best friends of this couple and will live happily ever after! Thanks, Ashley and Corey!

Vanessa came to DunRoamin' on May 30, 2015 from Fielding where she, her mom, sister and two brothers were living in a shed all by themselves. A kind senior citizen was feeding them, but they needed some extra help. Vanessa and her siblings were born about May 18, 2015. Vanessa and her family were rescued by a very kind and generous lady from Plaster Rock who travelled all this way to pick them up, deliver them and donate generously to ensure they would be spayed, neutered, vaccinated and cared for to the very highest level. Vanessa and her family now have a chance at a wonderful life and will never have to worry about lack of food, disease, danger, cold or any other things that plague small animals who are on their own. Vanessa would also like to thank Dr Monteith at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic who took a personal interest in the welfare of her family and made certain that they would get the life they deserve.On August 28, 2015, she was chosen, along with her friend Tyler (see above) to be the newest family members of a young couple in Riverbank. Via and Dale" came to us on July 27, 2015, when they were abandoned outside the doors of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic. At about 7 pm, security cameras captured video of a woman who got out of a red truck, made two trips carrying a cardboard box to the front door of the clinic and set them on the ground outside the door. She then got back in the truck and drove off, leaving the taped-up boxes of cats behind. Fortunately, a staff member securing the door later that evening noticed the boxes, or Dale and Via would have been there all night. It is estimated that Via and Dale were born about October 1, 2015. They were relatively healthy, but scared, of course. Both were pregnant and Dale does not see out of her right eye. They were both spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for parasites. Dale and her sister Via are very close and sleep wrapped around each other. Each misses the other terribly if they are not together. On September 23, 2015, Via and Dale got the best news possible. They met a young couple from Avondale who fell in love with them and they are now permanent residents of a family that includes two dogs and three other ex-DunRoamin' cats. She's a very happy and playful little girl, and if she gets separated from other cats, she starts bawling! She definitely needs a home with other cats! On August 18, 2015, she got exactly what she wanted! She now lives in Moose Mountain with a young man who is soon to be married. Marsden came to DunRoamin' on August 27, 2014 from Bedell where he had been a stray who was hanging around a house for about a week. People there saw that he needed medical help as he was very thin and looked hungry, but would not eat much at all when they set food out for him. He was born about August 27, 2001.Marsden was examined by our vet who diagnosed him as being emaciated, severely matted, and he had severe earmites and ticks. He also had a fractured upper canine tooth and marked periodontal disease which explained his problem with not eating - that must have hurt! Marsden quickly received the medical care he needed. On August 29, 2014, Marsden had all his teeth pulled and was shaved to remove the matted fur on his body. He also had his ears cleaned. He needed canned food for a couple of weeks and ear medication for about 10 days and he has done very well. He's anxious to go to start his new life, but in the meantime, he's fostered by the most amazing of families who also are fostering several other cats and a family of puppies. We can't thank you enough!On August 3, 2015, Marsden decided that he wanted to take no chance on losing his favourite human, so he invited himself to stay with Archie for the rest of his life. Archie's pretty happy with that, too, from what we hear! Congratulations to both. You're a lucky boy, Marsden (aka Oscar The Grouch!)

Lolita is about two years old (born about September, 2007) and originally came to us from the Woodstock area on October 5, 2009. She had been struck by a car and was then surrendered to a local shelter because her owners could not afford the costs of her surgeries. She had sustained several facial and jaw fractures as a result of the incident. Lolita underwent surgeries and had her lower jaw wired together. She was on pain medication and antibiotics for a while, but quickly recovered very well. Lolita is a beautiful long-haired white lady with double paws on the front. She'd like to live in a home without other cats or children, 'cause she seems to like adults best and prefers not to share the attention she loves so much. She loves water and will sit in the sink until someone turns on the faucet so she can have a bath! She's a playful cat when she so chooses, and would make a very good friend and companion for anyone who loves cats, especially long-haired white ones with double paws!On August 3, 2015, Lolita decided that she'd like to remain in her foster home permanently. She has fallen deeply in love with her foster family which includes two dogs, several cats and a human. Although she believes she is superior to all, she really does love them more than she can express, so she's right where she should be! Congratulations!!

Tulliver came from Peel on April 18, 2015 where he had been found on a porch the previous week. His left eye had sustained an injury which had caused it to rupture and his eye socket had become badly infected. He had earmites, multiple fractured teeth and had not yet been neutered. The eye injury and fractured teeth must have been very painful for him.Tulliver is a very loving little boy who has now had his eye removed and is much more comfortable. He lived with more than a dozen other cats who all loved him. He's a real sweetheart who was grateful to be pain-free, have friends around him (both two- and four-legged) and to have a temporary family until he gets a permanent home. He is a very loving and playful little boy. On August 1, 2015, Tulliver went to a new home. He will live in Stickney with a family who already loves him more than he can know. He will have two young boys to play with and will get to sleep on a bed with his new human every night. A dream come true. Congratulations, Tulliver. Write often. We'll miss you.

Finneus came to DunRoamin' on June 5, 2015 from Victoria Corner where he had been found all alone the previous evening. He was only about two days old and his umbilical cord was still attached. He was very cold and very hungry but still working hard to stay alive.Finneus was warmed up and fed by syringe by his newest best friend, our most-experienced foster vet tech, who took him home and kept him with her for constant care, feeding and monitoring. He will get the very best of love and attention in her care. Thank you, Mandy. Finneus and DunRoamin' are forever grateful for all you do for us. On July 27, 2015, Finneus was adopted by his foster parents and he now lives in Woodstock. Congratulations, Little Guy. You're where you've always been - home!

Pigeon came to us on April 28, 2015 from Woodstock where she had been rescued when someone realized she was injured and needed help. Examination by her veterinarian at the Florenceville Vet Clinic revealed that her left front leg was deformed and investigation revealed that it was the result of a gunshot. Numerous metallic fragments were still present in the foot, although she had been walking on it. Her leg had healed and she was able to walk on it, but Pigeon was happy to be rescued.Pigeon was born about May 30, 2014. She is a beautiful little tabby who is very affectionate and loving. She harbours no resentment of the human race, regardless of the pain and suffering inflicted upon her. She is hopeful for a home where she will be loved and cared for and will give all she has in return. On July 11, 2015, her hope and dream were met. She was adopted by a young gentleman from Maplehurst where she'll be his new best friend. Congratulations, Pigeon. Please drop us lots of notes. We'll miss you.

Selma came to us on April 22, 2015 when she was rescued by the NB SPCA along with two adults and 12 other kittens. She was born about February 22, 2015 and is a sweet little girl. She is very tiny for her age and we'll look forward to seeing how big she grows. Selma had ear mites, was thin and very scared, as were all her friends, but she quickly learned what it's like to be loved, cuddled and cared for. She was spayed and vaccinated on June 19th and ready for a home shortly after that. She'd like to thank her foster mother for all the love and care she and her siblings received.On July 2, 2015, Selma was adopted by a wonderful lady from Lakeville. Kelland came to us from the NBSPCA on April 22, 2015. She and her five siblings were born about April 1, 2015. All the kittens were thin, scared and had earmites, all of which were treated immediately.Kelland and her siblings had no mom to feed them so were fed by syringe every few hours around the clock, then graduated to bottle feeding. She was soon doing very well eating on her own now and she's a very happy, active, energetic and loving little girl.On June 21, 2015, we learned that Kelland would be adopted by her foster mother. She will now live in Riverbank with several dogs and cats as her new family. Congratulations, Kelland!

Amelia was one of four kittens who came to us on June 16, 2015 from Oakland where they had been born to an unspayed mother cat. It was reported that the mother had run away. They were born on May 26, 2015 and had no one to care for them at the ripe old age of not even three weeks.Amelia is currently in a foster home where she is learning all the skills necessary to live with dogs, cats and people, and she's enjoying it more than she can say!!On June 21, 2015, we learned that when Amelia is old enough to leave her mom, she will move to Grafton where she'll live with her new mom and cat friend Turner (see below). Her mom left her old apartment that didn't allow pets just to have her two new feline friends with her. Way to go! Congratulations, Amelia!

Turner came back to DunRoamin' on May 19, 2015. She was born about June 8, 2014. She, her mom, Pearson and four siblings (Campbell, Tupper, Diefenbaker and Harper) came from Holmesville on June 30, 2014 where their mom was a stray who was being fed by a kind gentleman, but she was very ill. Sadly, she passed away shortly after her arrival here, as did Campbell. The remainder of the family did well and Turner was adopted by a young man in Grand Falls on September 15, 2015, but the addition of a baby to the family made it impossible to keep Turner, so she came back to us.Turner was initially very scared and wanted nothing to do with us, but she quickly learned that she was in a good place. She now rolls upside down, purrs and plays, knowing she's safe and sound. She'd like a permanent home so she can give all this love that she has inside her! On June 21, 2015, a young lady requested the honour of adopting Turner and we quickly consented as this lady is a very strong and caring supporter who moved from her current apartment to a pet-friendly apartment specifically to be able to have feline family members. Turner will now have the best life possible living in Grafton with her new best friend and her new feline friend, Amelia (see above) who will join her as soon as she's old enough to leave her mom. Thanks for giving both these little girls a loving home!

Keno lived with his favourite foster mother in Woodstock along with his siblings Chase and Kenny where he had the best care ever. On June 1, 2015, Keno met a gentleman from Centreville who thought he was the best little boy ever! He will be a friend for a little black stray whom they rescued and is also very happy to have a home and all the love they can soak up! Congratulations, Keno!

Diega and her siblings Reddington, Keen, Spader and Nina came to DunRoamin' on the morning of June 2, 2014 from Lansdowne where they had been found in a box on the side of the road. They were born about April 28, 2014, only just a month old. They had no mom and no human to care for them. Other than some minor eye infections, they were healthy. They required food, warmth and love, and they soon got lots of that! Diega and her siblings were fostered by a wonderful woman in Woodstock. Thanks, Lyn! They eventually came back to DunRoamin' to find homes, and . . . . . . on May 26, 2015, Diega was adopted by a young lady from Glassville who is attending Memorial University in Newfoundland. Diega will travel to Newfoundland with her and be her best friend as she studies Marine Biology. Congratulations, Diega! Send lots of pictures!

Kenny came to us from the NBSPCA on April 22, 2015. He and his five siblings were born about April 1, 2015. All the kittens were thin, scared and had earmites, all of which were treated immediately.Kenny and his siblings had no mom so had to be fed by syringe every few hours around the clock. Kenny and his brother Chase and sister Keno were fostered by one of our very strongest supporters who has given temporary homes to dozens of our needy strays. We can't say enough to thank Mandy and Bryan for all their support. These little guys certainly appreciate it.On May 23, 2015, Kenny was chosen by a young lady from Perth-Andover who currently lives in Fredericton. She and her boyfriend are excited to give this little sweet little guy a new home. Thanks so much! He's looking forward to joining your family!

Jessica was brought to DunRoamin' on the morning of February 9, 2015 from Gordonsville where she had taken shelter in a warm box provided by a family for any wayfaring animals who needed refuge from the cold. Jessica is the first stray to use it this year and she is lucky to have found it with the terribly cold temperatures we have experienced in the last couple of months. She was so cold that the tears that were around her left eye were frozen solid. When her rescuer picked her up, she felt bones as opposed to a healthy body. Jessica was taken inside to get warmth and food. She eventually expressed her gratitude with a fine purr. Jessica was born about April 15, 2014. She weighed less than five pounds, was thin, had an infected left eye, ear mites and matted fur. She was cared for by the staff and volunteers of DunRoamin' to whom she has shown herself to be a very affectionate, loving and grateful little girl. She is very grateful for the love and assistance.On May 21, 2015, Jessica was adopted by a young lady from Bristol. Congratulations, Jessica, you'll be well loved and have a great life! Bacall and her brother Sloane (see below) came to us from the Grand Falls area on November 10, 2014. Bacall was born about 1998 and had fleas and ear mites when she came. She was mildly dehydrated and had severe stomatitis - a dental problem which made her uncomfortable and gradually would make it painful to attempt to eat. On December 2, 2014, Bacall had all her teeth removed. She recovered very well and is eating fine - with no pain! Bacall is a very nice, quiet and gentle cat. She loves her brother and she head butts him and cuddles with him and wants to be near him. They are obviously very attached to each other. On May 2, 2015, we learned that Bacall and Sloan would be permanent family members of their foster home. They have endeared themselves very well with their human, canine and feline family and there they shall remain. Congratulations!!

Sloane and his sister Bacall (see above) came to DunRoamin' from the Grand Falls area on November 10, 2014 when their family was no longer able to care for them. Sloane was born about 1998 and is a beautiful little boy. He'd just like a nice warm home and loving family for the rest of his years.Sloane had fleas and ear mites, moderate tartar on his teeth and gingivitis, all of which were treated. He's very quiet, attentive and loving. When he joined his sister in a new foster home, he became even more loving and cuddly than we ever could have expected!On May 2, 2015, we learned that he would remain with his foster family as a permanent family member. He is exceptionally affectionate and is happy to know that he'll be with the people, cats and dogs who love him for the rest of his life, and he's grateful to be able to remain with his sister, Bacall. Congratulations, Sloan!

Corbin is one of four little grey tabby kittens were dropped off at a home in Glassville where this occurs quite frequently, and they were overrun with cats and kittens, some of whom were feral. Since these four were already socialized, they deserved a chance at a home with people. They love to be picked up and cuddled. They came to DunRoamin' on September 4, 2010. They were born about July 25, 2010. Corbin was the only boy of the group. He is a cuddly, loving little guy who loves to play. He's very quiet, and nothing upsets him at all. He loves to cuddle and sleep with his siblings, as well as all his friends. On November 27, 2010, Corbin met a lady from Public Landing, NB. Corbin now lives with her, two other cats and a dog. Congratulations to the entire family on their new family member.

Gillian came to us on April 22, 2015 when she was rescued by the NBSPCA along with two adults and 12 other kittens. She was born about February 8, 2015 and is a sweet little girl. Gillian had ear mites, was thin and very scared, as were all her friends, but she is quickly learning what it's like to be loved, cuddled and cared for. She will be spayed and vaccinated as soon as possible and will be ready for a home very soon.On April 28, 2015, Gillian and her sister Willa (see above) was adopted by a very loving family in the Perth-Andover area where she'll live with several other ex-DunRoamin' dogs and cats, as well as some foster dogs and cats also! Congratulations!

Eye-Agree came to us on July 28, 2014 from Woodstock where she had been feeding her five kittens under a shed. People noticed that she had a vision problem and undertook to help her. They took in her five kittens and found homes for them. She was born about the end of July, 2013.Agree, however, required medical assistance. Both her eyes were clouded and she may not see well at all. She was on medication which helped clear up some portion of the scars on her eyes. She has some sight, but would perhaps see as if through a cloud. Fortunately, her ears and nose have helped her survive for as long as she has. Now it's time for a nice, safe, warm, loving family home. She can't wait. She certainly deserves it. She's a very loving and affectionate little girl whose time has come for the good life.On November 13, 2015, Eye-Agree learned that "Friday The Thirteenth" is a GOOD thing! Her new mom came all the way from Grand Falls to take her home. Now renamed Gracie, she is living the live of love and luxury. Thanks, Joni, for giving her the family she's been waiting for.

Nudge came to us on January 28, 2015 from Knowlesville where a person had seen him sitting on the road for three days. He did not move when cars passed him. They tried to help him, but he would run away. When they told a friend about him, she immediately went to his location, found him, stayed and talked to him until he trusted her enough to come close enough to be picked up. He was scared and shaking from the cold. He was born about April 1, 2014 - just a baby.Nudge was diagnosed with the following: emaciation (starving), mild dehydration, ear mites and fleas. His worst problem, though, was the fact that his ears and all four paws were badly frostbitten. His toe and foot pads were already sloughing off and he was in much pain, as you can imagine if you've ever had cold ears or fingers. He was given every ounce of care possible, including pain medication and laser treatment for the frostbite, He is warm, safe, has a full belly and is no longer feeling any pain. As of February 1, 2015, Nudge was feeling much better. He readily purrs and head butts and reaches out a paw to pat you on the face. He has pretty DunRoamin' blue bandages on his feet to help him heal while he undergoes laser therapy on his ears and feet. He still needs to eat a lot more to put on some weight, but he is very happy to be safe. On April 11, 2015, he met a very nice couple from Mazerolle Settlement who invited him to become a permanent part of their family. His friend, Bono, (see below) was also adopted! Congratulations!

Bono came to us on November 4, 2014 from Red Bridge. A young lady had come home to find her dogs barking at something in her back yard. When she explored, she found Bono laying in the snow. He did not appear outwardly injured, but he had slime on him and he could not walk properly when he tried to get up. He was very cold and he obviously needed help. He was born about January 1, 2014.Bono was picked up by a DunRoamin' volunteer and brought to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where he was examined. Bono had a fractured canine tooth, his temperature was only 32*C (less than 33*C is normally not consistent with life), pale gums, he was in shock, was markedly dehydrated, had air under his skin (subcutaneous emphysema), collapsed lungs and a fractured thoracic vertebra (broken back). It is believed he was attacked and shaken by a dog. As of January 25, 2015 he is doing GREAT! Another month of limited exercise and he'll be good to go. He is very happy to be safe and healthy. He is a perfectly black cat with just a little white on his chest. On April 11, 2015 Bono met a young couple from Mazerolle Settlement and he won them over with his unique purr and wonderful personality. He and his friend Nudge (see above) will be proud new permanent family members. Please send lots of photos!!

Mighty came to DunRoamin' on December 1, 2014 from the Woodstock area. He was born about July 1, 2014. A gentleman who was trying to care for several strays observed that he kept his head to one side, was not eating well and recently was unable to walk. He had to be carried to the litter box. He obviously needed help.It was learned that Mighty had a polyp on the soft pallet in his mouth which would make it painful and difficult to eat. He also had another in his right ear which resulted in poor balance and a head tilt. The ear polyp had ruptured his eardrum which would be very painful for him. He was also dehydrated and had fleas.Mighty underwent surgery to remove both polyps. He had a sore ear and mouth for awhile, but in about six weeks he was just fine - perfect again! He's a sweet little boy who loves people and other cats. On January 21, 2015 he went to be a foster kitty for a family in Bristol.On April 10, 2015, we learned that his foster family could not bear to part with him. He rules the kingdom and entertains all their other cats, so he has already ingrained himself in the family structure. Way to go, Mighty! Congratulations!!

Sansa and her sisters "Addy" and Cara came to DunRoamin' from the Richmond Corner area on July 3, 2014. They were found near the Department of Transportation garage with no mom and no one to care for them. The weather was extremely hot and they were only about seven weeks old, having been born around May 15, 2014. They were very underweight, dehydrated, had fleas and a serious case of upper respiratory infection. They fought very hard to overcome it and were successful. They were fostered in Richmond Corner for several months but eventually came back to DunRoamin' to find a home. Cara soon found a home, and on January 27, 2015, Addy and Sansa were adopted by a couple in Lakeville, but allergies became a problem and they were advised by their doctor to remove them from their home, so they came back to us on April 7, 2015.On April 8, 2015, both Addy and Sansa were adopted by a wonderful lady in the Richmond Corner area who had helped rescue them in 2014. She is happy to have them as part of her family and they are happy to be there. Congratulations, Addy and Sansa! Thanks, Elaine!

Jeeves came to DunRoamin' on December 13, 2013 from a Centreville location where people routinely drop off cats. Jeeves was about three years old and had an injured right front foot. He was not yet neutered.Jeeves was a little scared at first, but he was relieved to be warm and to have food in his belly. He was initially trusting, but still not quite sure what was going on. It took no time for him to know exactly how good he had it!! He purrs if you spend a few minutes rubbing his head or his chin. He's become a very affectionate boy who loves attention and will reach out with his paw to touch you. His injured paw has healed very well and he's 100% ready for his own family!On March 30, 2015, Jeeves was adopted by a loving family in New Limerick, Maine. He is fortunate to have such a loving family and we are all grateful to them for giving this little boy a home. Congratulations, Jeeves, we know you'll love it there!

River came to us from Bristol on April 17, 2013. He was about five years old. River had a urinary obstruction, was lethargic, in shock and near death. His heart and kidneys were failing also. His family could not care for him so he was surrendered to DunRoamin'.River was nursed back to health and he has displayed his undying gratitude to the human race ever since. He's a cuddle cat, a lover and the best friend anyone could ever wish for. River was fostered with his best friend in Bristol from May 1, 2014 until . . .. . . March 16, 2015, when he met a lady from Hanwell who had seen him on this website and fallen in love. He will be her new best friend and will have a feline friend as well. Congratulations, River. Please send lots of updates. We'll all miss you, especially your foster mom.

Finley came to DunRoamin' on the cold and rainy evening of November 12, 2014. A young lady had noticed her outside a church and saw that she wanted in out of the rain, but she was not allowed in. When the lady left the church, she was still there and followed her to her car, meowing and asking for help. She was wet and cold.The area where Finley was found is known for hungry foxes and it was not safe for her to be on her own. She is very affectionate and has striking golden eyes. She has a nice loud purrer also!On March 14, 2015, Finley was adopted by a family in New Limerick. She will now have a new canine and feline sibling, as well as her human family which includes a young girl. Congratulations, Finley! Please send us photos of you and your new family! CeeCee came to us on February 28, 2013 from Oakland. Her family was moving away and she wasn't allowed to go with them so euthanasia became a possibility. She's a beautiful girl, and we couldn't stand that thought, so we asked her to come stay with us.CeeCee was a little bit cranky right at first, but we would be, too, in these circumstances! She learned quickly that she's right where she should be and is doing very well. She was born around the end of February, 2003, so she was about ten years old already. She'd like to experience a warm and loving home, please, and . . .. . . on August 3, 2015, she decided that her foster home was that loving place that she'd like to spend the rest of her life. She sleeps on an old-fashioned machine that she has chosen as her favourite place and is the queen of her space, generously allowing several other cats and a couple of dogs to share some of her home. Way to go, CeeCee!

Tebo came to us on July 29, 2014 from Stickney where he had apparently been struck by a vehicle. He had road rash and bruising on his abdomen and tail, a dislocated left hip and earmites. Tebo was also quite overweight. He needed much medical attention. Tebo was born about 2009.Tebo underwent surgeries to repair his abdomen which healed completely. He is on a strict diet to help him lose some of the weight he gained while recuperating and confined to a kennel. He is a loving and affectionate orange tabby who would like to live with a family again. He's very loving and playful. And ORANGE!On February 27, 2015, we learned that Tebo would be the newest family member of a lady in Houlton. She thinks he is PERFECT (so do we!) and they will now share a home. Hayes came to DunRoamin' from Hartford on November 14, 2014. She was born about August 1, 2014. Her mother had been struck and killed by a car recently and Hayes had been hanging around the garage for about a week but was scared and could not be caught.Today her rescuer was able to catch her because she was not feeling well and was hungry. She was diagnosed with an abscessed umbilical hernia and desperately needed medical assistance. Normally the umbilical cord falls off, but on occasion it becomes infected, and Hayes had been dealing with this for her entire short life.Her vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic gave her the medical care that she required. She has received antibiotics and had her wound treated and she is now fine. She is very affectionate and most definitely beautiful. Photos do not do justice to her personality or her beauty! She loves people and other cats and can't wait to have a home of her very own. On February 26, 2015, she and her friend Crabbe (see below) were adopted by a couple in Howard Brook. Hayes thanks them for the loving home and for allowing her friend to come with her. Congratulations to the whole family! Send photos soon!

Crabbe came to us from Wicklow about 7 pm, November 1, 2014 where a lady had found him unconscious in her driveway. It was feared that he would not survive. He was brought to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where his vet noted that he was hypothermic (very cold), his heart rate was only 20 beats per minute (should have been at least 150), his blood sugar was 1.8 (should have been at least 6 or 7), his temperature was too low to register (any temperature that doesn't register or is less than 33*C is normally not consistent with life) and he had tapeworms and fleas. He had no food in his stomach or intestines and his blood sugar was so low he couldn't move. He was starving to death and most probably would not have lived another half hour.His vet went to work and two and a half hours later he was warm, conscious and able to eat some food. As of November 3, he was active and playful! Crabbe would like to thank his vet and the lady who rescued him and made this second chance at life possible. On February 26, 2015, Crabbe and his friend Hayes (see above) was adopted by a cat-loving couple in Howard Brook. They will have the best life possible! Thanks, Tina and Chad!

Beasley came to us on July 24, 2014 from Woodstock where she had come to a home two days previously but was sick. Upon examination it was learned that she was emaciated, weak and had a severe urinary tract infection.Beasley was treated and was well again in no time. She has become a very social little girl who is grateful for the help she has received. She lived in a room with seven other cats and loved them all. She is attentive and affectionate and loves people dearly.On February 22, 2015, Beasley was adopted by a gentleman from Holmesville. She will be an only pet in the home and will give him her undivided attention. She even gets to sleep on the bed! Congratulations, Beasley!

Johnson came to DunRoamin' on November 28, 2014 from Centreville. Some children had gotten him from a place in Woodstock but soon learned he was sick. He was brought to DunRoamin' to receive the medical care he required.Johnson was dehydrated, underweight, emaciated and had diarrhea. He was born about September 1, 2014 and is a beautiful little boy. He didn't feel very well at all at first, but he was fine in a very short time with a little medical care and some love and attention. He looks forward to gaining a family who will love him, cuddle him and let him sleep on their bed.Update: as of January 25, 2015, Johnson is a healthy, happy, playful, loving little boy! He is hoping for a family with whom to share his joy for life and to express his gratitude and give back some love! He loves his best friend Hayes (see above) with whom he is currently housed. They play and sleep together - they are best buds!!On February 21, 2015, Johnson met a family with two children who fell immediately in love with him. He now lives in Yoho, NB. Alice originally came to DunRoamin' from Centreville on November 20, 2013 when we received a call about a mother and kittens in a very cold location without adequate shelter. She and her siblings were brought to DunRoamin' and Alice was adopted on October 13, 2014 to a home in Bath where their cat had gone missing. Alice and their dog got along great, but when their cat eventually returned home she and Alice did not see eye to eye, Alice came back to us. She is very cuddly, playful and happy. She was born about July 20, 2013 and is anxiously hoping for a home where she can have her very own family again. She wouldn't mind e a dog of her own, and she normally loves other cats, too, as she grew up living with at least six others at any one time. She has beautiful markings and purrs immediately when patted by a servant.On February 21, 2015 Alice met a lady from Waterville who thought she would make the perfect companion for her and her former DunRoamin' cat, Cancel. Clockwork, a little orange boy, came to us on November 12, 2014 from the Florenceville area where he was found under a vehicle. He did not move at all when confronted with the noise of the vehicle, people or other animals.Clock was brought for assistance where it was determined that he was about six years old, weighed only 4.8 pounds, was emaciated, dehydrated, had itchy ears, mites and a kidney infection. He was born sometime in 2008.Clock was in rough shape, but with a few medications and some nutrition it took him no time to become a handsome and attractive young cat. He was fostered in Bristol as of January 21, 2015 and was happy to live in a family setting until his own permanent family became available. He'd like to thank Shawn and Mitchell for their hospitality!On February 20, 2015, we learned that Clockwork would become a permanent family member. Mitchell thinks he's the best cat ever, so they're now FAMILY! Congratulations, Mitchell! Congratulations, Clockwork!

Midge returned to DunRoamin' on February 7, 2015. She had originally been found all alone in Woodstock on October 4, 2013, when she was only about 10 days old. Her eyes were crusty and she needed help. She was eventually adopted by a family on January 9, 2014, but their new baby became allergic so she came back to us to find a new home.Midge was initially very scared which was to be expected since she was in a new environment with 49 other cats, but she settled in well. She is a beautiful black long-haired girl who is loving, happy and playful. She loved her new cat friends and is a beautiful little girl.On February 16, 2015, Midge was introduced to a lady and her young daughter from Windsor. Midge fell in love with both, but especially the daughter. Congratulations, Midge! You have a new family! Send us photos!!

Marjorie came to us on February 2, 2015 from Stickney where she was found all alone near the mill. She appears to have been born about 2003 and may have spent her entire 12 or more years trying to survive in that area - not an easy thing to do. She obviously needed help to survive the temperatures and lack of adequate shelter.Marjorie was weak and lethargic, perhaps depressed. She was borderline hypothermic, moderately dehydrated, she had ear mites, tapeworms, was filthy dirty and had a cauliflower ear, perhaps as a result of ear mite damage.Marjorie was quickly well on her way to health. She is warm, safe, has a full belly and will get the best of care. She is very lucky to have been brought for help and we're sure she knows that very well! She thanks the gentleman who rescued her. So do we!On February 14, 2015, Marjorie got the best Valentine's Day present for which she could have wished. She is now a permanent family member of the young man who rescued her. Thanks, Jason! Congratulations, Marjorie!

Meet "Thatcher." He was approximately ten years old when he came to us from Centreville. His owner was moving, couldn't take him and couldn't find him a new home. It appeared the only option for him was euthanasia.Thatcher had tapeworms, was mildly thin and had a moderate amount of tartar on his teeth but was otherwise in good shape. He'd like to carry on being someone's best friend, and there's no reason he shouldn't. He purrs immediately when greeting people and he's got a great "elevator butt!" He loves to be scratched on his back at the base of his tail! He's a quiet gentleman who enjoys the company of others.On January 30, 2015, Thatcher was adopted by a lady in Perth-Andover who has five cat friends for him to enjoy. She also has nice warm floors and toasty beds for him to lay in - he loves the heat! Congratulations, Thatcher! Today is the first day of the rest of your life!

Yule came to us from Mount Pleasant on Christmas day, 2014. He was a stray who had come to a home of a person who had recently moved to the area. She was feeding and sheltering several strays, but Yule appeared to be in trouble. Yule was examined by our vet who determined that he had flea dermatitis which had resulted in the loss of hair from the back part of his body. This would prevent him from retaining body heat and it would also be very uncomfortable. In addition, all four feet were bloody, pus-filled and infected. He was given antibiotics and his wounds were all addressed. He was neutered and vaccinated and is anxious for a safe, warm home. Although a little timid at first, he appeared to be a boy who will love to cuddle when he relaxes and realizes what a great amount of luck he had to have been rescued in Mount Pleasant. On December 27, 2014, blood tests revealed that Yule was FIV-positive**. Please read about FIV here.On January 17, Yule went to a foster home in Perth-Andover where his friends Beans and Pierre live. They are also FIV-positive and they live the life of Riley! Yule and Beans hit it off immediately and Pierre soon decided that Yule "was okay." They had a ball playing and sleeping together and they love the two kids who love them back every bit as much. Yule enjoys being carried from room to room - nice to have all that individual love and attention!On January 27, 2015 we received word from Yule: he's IN!!! FOREVER!! He is officially a permanent family member! He, his feline friends and three human friends are "a family," and he'll belong forever. Congratulations, Yule! Keep sending pictures and videos. Your DunRoamin' friends all love seeing them!

Shawna came to DunRoamin' on November 29, 2014 from Waterville where she had been hanging around a special care home. The owner refused to care for her and did not want employees to feed her or encourage her to stay in the area. She had no one to care for her and people believed she needed medical assistance. She was obviously very cold and very hungry, her eyes were emitting a discharge and she had no tail. She was born about December 1, 2013.Shawna was brought to DunRoamin'. She was assessed by a vet who determined that she had eye infections and needs some medication for her tail, but was just fine after receiving the medical attention she required. Shawna is very loving and affectionate and has the most beautiful golden eyes you've ever seen. She loves people.On January 18, 2015, a lady who had seen her photo on this website came to meet her and it was love at first sight for both. Shawna willingly climbed in the carrier for the ride home to Fredericton and immediately started purring and kneading. She will be a friend for her handsome new brother, Howie, who also does not have a tail. They will spend their days being loved and watching the squirrels from their window seats. Congratulations, Shawna!

Filly came to us from Stickney on October 7, 2014. She had lived in a barn for her entire four weeks of life and we were told that yesterday she had probably been stepped on by a horse. She is a very sweet little short-haired multi-coloured girl with blue eyes that will steal your heart.Filly was born about September 7, 2014, was underweight and had fleas and earmites. The biggest concern, though, was the fact that she could not walk and was dragging her hind legs. Her vet did not found any broken bones and she still has sensation in her legs, so we're hoping for the best. She has the best medical care possible at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and she will receive physiotherapy and will be taught to use her legs again. She has a tiny little wheelchair "all rug up" for her to help her recuperate! On January 11, 2015, Filly was officially adopted by the Florenceville Vet Clinic where she will receive the ongoing medical care she requires.

On the afternoon of January 9, 2014, two people attended DunRoamin' with four of approximately 30 cats they had rescued from a bad situation near Perth-Andover. They had found ways to feed, shelter, spay, neuter and find homes for all the others but circumstances prohibited them from completing their task of rehoming these last four."Blitz," Bristle, Pounce and Breeze were loving cats who had been through a lot. They were born about January 1, 2013. They were all scared and confused, but were accepting of love, hugs and pats with the exception of Blitz who was more timid, but she soon realized that she'd get the help she needed. She had a "cauliflower ear" due to damage inflicted by a bad infestation of earmites, but it was quickly remedied and she has no problem with it at all now. On October 10, 2014, Blitz was chosen to be a foster kitty and a friend for another cat in Lakeville.On January 13, 2015, we learned that Blitz was invited to be a permanent family member as she has endeared herself to all! She, her two humans and her feline friend are now officially a family! Congratulations, Blitz! Please send photos soon!

Blitzen came to us on December 17, 2014, from the Woodstock area where she was a stray who had come to a house looking for food, shelter and friendship but no one was willing to take her in.Blitzen was assessed by a vet who determined that her left iris was scarred to the back of her cornea and she was blind in that eye. She was born about June 15, 2013. She was very thin and also had fleas and earmites for which she was treated. She had no one to care for her. Blitzen is very friendly and grateful for food, warmth and love. She just wants a family.On January 10, 2015, Blitzen was adopted by a young lady from Carlingford. She will be a friend for three other cats and will live the life of Riley. Congratulations, Blitzen. Please stay in touch!

Mallard, McGee and Ziva, all little girls, were dropped off on the doorstep of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic in the wee hours of the morning of August 18, 2014, long before staff arrived for work. They were born about June 15, 2014 and had bad fleas and earmites. They were otherwise healthy, and had belonged to someone as they were very familiar with people.They were scared, of course, and we're sure they were missing their mom, as they cuddled close to each other for comfort. They were just scared little babies who had no clue as to what had happened to them.Their medical needs were addressed and they quickly became fine, beautiful and healthy little kittens. Although they loved the DunRoamin' volunteers who cared for them, their greatest wish, as with all our cats, was that they could have a permanent family of their very own.On January 10, 2015, Mallard got his wish!! Now known as Bronwyn, she and her friend Zenith (see below) were adopted by a young couple and their three children with whom they now live in French Lake. Congratulations!! Way to go, Bronwyn! Write often and send lots of photos for your DunRoamin' friends!!

Zenith and her four babies Zsa Zsa, Zanza, Zillion and Zest came to us from the Beechwood area on June 7, 2014. Zenith was a stray who had come to a home with her babies but the people were unable to provide food or shelter for her and her family. Zenith was about a year and a half old, born about the first of January, 2013.Her four babies were born about May 24, 2014. On June 22, 2014, they went to a foster home where they'll experience the warmth and love of family so they would be familiar when they finally got that permanent home of their very own, which they all did. Zenith's foster mom reported that Zenith was an incredibly loving girl. She demanded pets and purrs very loudly. She loves people and was a great mother to the kittens. She didn't engage much in physical play, but when she did she never ever used her claws. She liked to explore and roam the house and showed absolutely no interest in the out-of-doors - she knew too well what that's like! Zenith eventually returned to her DunRoamin' friends where she ruled the roost in a room with six other cats until . . .. . . January 10, 2015, when she met a couple and their three children from French Lake. They had seen her story on our website and fell in love all over again when they met her in person. She is ecstatic to have a new home and even happier that her friend Mallard (see above) got to go with her! Her new name is "Ember!" Congratulations! Thanks to her family for giving two loving cats a new home and family!

Chewbacca came to DunRoamin' on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from Stickney where he had been found laying on the roadside. His rescuers noticed there was definitely something wrong and brought him for help.Chewbacca was examined and found to have earmites and he was not neutered, but his main problem was the large bite wound on the side of his neck. He had been attacked by an animal and sustained injuries as a result. He was in pain and he was terrified.Chewbacca was given antibiotics and pain medication and was placed in a warm, safe environment with lots of nutritious food. He lived with more than a dozen other cats with whom he got along just fine. He's a little timid when you first reach for him, but then he remembers that everyone loves him and that he's safe. Then he waits for his chin to be rubbed! He takes a little time to get used to people, but with some patience he is a very loving little boy.On January 10, 2015, a lady from Plaster Rock attended DunRoamin'. She had seen him on our website and was struck by his handsomeness and beautiful eyes. Upon meeting him, she was struck by everything! Chewbacca now lives in Plaster Rock where he'll be treated like the royal feline he is. Congratulations! Please send lots of photos and updates of how you are loving your new family!

Racey came to DunRoamin' on September 27, 2013 from the Edmundston area when she, her two sisters and an older cat, Sterling, were rescued from a box on the side of the road. Another sibling had already perished, perhaps of starvation, as Racey and her siblings were barely old enough to eat on their own. The SPCA was called, but they were not willing to help these little ones live and euthanization instructions were issued. This was unacceptable to their rescuer and their new vet so they came to DunRoamin' so that they could live. They were just babies. All three had to be fed by syringe to ensure they received the nourishment they required.Racey is a black and white little girl who was born about August 25, 2013. She enjoyed the food, soft bed and warm snuggle safe she received. She was the most curious and energetic of the three and established her little kingdom quickly. They were fostered in Florenceville and then fostered by loving pet people near Perth-Andover. Thank you! On January 9, 2014, Racey received the best present of her entire life. She and her two siblings, Lacey and Racey (see below) will all join the family of a mom, four kids and three cats in Sussex. Congratulations!!

Lacey came to DunRoamin' on September 27, 2013 from the Edmundston area when she, her two sisters and an older cat, Sterling, were rescued from a box on the side of the road. She was watched closely since she was the smallest. They were so young and we didn't know how long they were without their mom and therefore unable to eat, but they overcame any potential problems with the love and care they received in their foster home in Florenceville. She and her two siblings, Lacey and Racey (see above) will all join the family of a mom, four kids and three cats in Sussex. They are all so happy that they will finally have a foster home and they are grateful to be able to stay together. All three would like to thank the foster families who have made such a difference in their lives.
