Intake Name Picture Description
Abel
Abel came back to us on April 20, 2018 from Woodstock where he had been adopted in December 2015.  He had originally come to us from Lakeville in 2012 where he was one of several cats who were hanging around a home but had no one to care for him.  Abel is a sweet little boy who was originally very timid but he quickly became very confident, secure and happy on his own.

Abel is eating a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to make sure that he is healthy as he has a tendency to block if he eats other foods. We have had dozens of cats who have been placed on this diet and it works extremely well - no problems at all, as long as they eat this diet.  Abel was in a foster home but experienced some medical issues, so he came back to us for care.   He was born about April 1, 2012.

Abel was recently diagnosed with asthma, so requires a puffer which he accepts very well - it isn't an issue at all, especially if there is a treat involved afterward!  He requires 10 breaths each evening with his puffer, and he is doing fine!  He has also been diagnosed with early kidney disease.  Abel is a happy, sweet, loving little boy who gets along with the other cats with whom he currently lives.  He loves to be patted, picked up and cuddled.  As part of our Sponsor A Kitty program, he is grateful to those who contribute monthly to help provide all required medication and care.
Crombie
Crombie came to DunRoamin' on April 23, 2022 from Crombie Settlement, NB.  He had been found in an abandoned house where he had been seeking shelter for quite some time.  A kind lady wanted to catch him, but when she went back to the house he was gone.  Approximately two weeks later, she was able to find and deliver him to us.

Crombie was born about April 23, 2012.  Assessment by his new vet friend showed that he was very dirty, matted, emaciated, had fleas, ear mites, internal parasites and a luxating patella on his right leg.  He had obviously been having a hard time trying to survive, but the worst and probably most painful thing was his mouth.  All his teeth were rotten and painful and therefore required to be removed.  He also had a very bad abscess on his tongue which had resulted in a hole which extended all the way through his tongue.  This was painful and made eating difficult for the little boy.  He was also covered with a black tar-like material.

Crombie was immediately provided antibiotics, pain medication and a nice warm and comfortable bed.  He was also given wet food which he devoured instantly.  Despite his physical condition, he was soon purring and kneading - saying thank you to his new vet friend for her help to make him more comfortable.  All his medical issues were addressed and he has shown his gratitude each and every day since - he is a loving, affectionate little sweetheart!!  Crombie was tested for FIV and FeLV.  He tested positive for FIV which is absolutely no big deal - please read about it by following the link below.

Crombie was soon a healthy and happy little boy who has bonded with Beau, who is also FIV+.  They are the very best of friends and we hope that they may be adopted together - they are always found together, and when they sleep, they wrap themselves around each other!  Both are neutered, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites.  They are exceptionally affectionate with each other and will bond quickly with their new human.  They look forward to living in a home, watching TV, chasing a computer mouse and the many other things such fortunate adopted cats get to do!  They thank their sponsors for providing their medical needs - they are forever grateful!

In March, 2026, Crombie underwent a Total Ear Canal Ablation - Bulla Osteotomy (TECA-BO) surgery to remove a growth in his left ear.  This is major surgery which took approximately 3.5 hours.  Thankfully, it turned out to be a non-cancerous polyp!  Crombie is much happier and more comfortable now, and he is grateful to all his sponsors and supporters who made this surgery possible.  Although he does not have the ability to hear in his left ear now, he will no longer experience any discomfort or pain.  He and his best friend Beau are very pleased with these results, and Crombie is doing better each and every day.  He is a very lucky little boy to have such loving support.  Thank you!

Beau
Beau came to DunRoamin' on June 19, 2022 from the Somerville, NB area where he had been hanging around for a few seasons, but no one could take him in.  Recently he had been observed to have what appeared to be injuries to his face.

Beau was accepted by DunRoamin' and immediately examined by his new vet friend who observed an infected injury to his right cheek and several smaller wounds on his feet, one of which was an exposed ligament.  These wounds were most probably the result of an attack by another animal while he was trying to survive on his own.  Beau is estimated to have been born about June 19, 2018, so was about four years old when he arrived at DunRoamin'.

Beau underwent sedation several times to have his wound drained, treated and sutured.  He was prescribed pain medications and antibiotics to combat his injuries.  Beau was also diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which you can read about at the link below.

Beau and his best friend Crombie (also FIV+) are the most affectionate and loving cats you may ever meet!  They are grateful to spend their summers as foster cats of an extremely wonderful couple with whom they have fallen head over heals in love!  They are often found sleeping on their humans or cuddled together on top of each other or wound around each other!  They hope for a new home together very soon, and would be very pleased if someone were to choose them to join their family.  They are grateful to their sponsors who help provide vaccines and medical support as required.

Kensi
Kensi came to DunRoamin' on July 6, 2022 from the Woodstock area where her owners could no longer care for her, so her options for life quickly became limited.  Born about May 5, 2019, Kensi had developed kidney stones and required surgery to remove them which took place on July 7, 2023.  Of course, with the skills of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, surgery was successful and Kensi recovered well.

Kensi was overweight when she arrived and has been working on her diet to ensure that she soon is of a healthy weight.  She weighed about 18 pounds when she arrived and was soon down to about 16 pounds, so she has done a great job!  She is a wonderfully-affectionate girl with a beautiful personality and sparkling blue eyes that will easily win you over!  She eats Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to ensure that she will have no similar medical issues in the future.  She is currently living with a half dozen other cats who require the same diet and she has absolutely no issues - she loves them all!  Please come meet her.  She would like to thank her sponsors who help provide her prescription food and any required medical care.
Lawrence
Lawrence came to us on January 17, 2023 from a local shelter.  He was diagnosed with diabetes and required daily injections of insulin which, due to the particular timings of this requirement, the shelter was unable to provide.  Lawrence was born about January 22, 2013 and is a very nice boy.

Lawrence also had a wound on his hind leg which required medical care.  His wound has healed completely and he is responding well to his insulin which is provided once each morning.  He is a vocal and sweet little boy whose only wish is that he might live in a home, sleep on a bed with a human, and watch a bit of TV every once in a while!

Lawrence eats Purina DM dry food along with his Fancy Feast chicken or Fancy Feast fish canned food, the only non-prescription canned food allowed for diabetic cats.  Lawrence also had dental issues upon his arrival, so he required dental surgery to remove all his teeth.  He still loves his dry and canned food and definitely has no issues with his daily insulin injection.  Lawrence is very calm, quiet and loving - he'd make the PERFECT addition to any home that would love to have some affectionate feline company!

Lawrence is grateful to his Sponsor A Kitty supporters who donate to provide his prescription food and medication.  We all are!
Lana
Lana came to DunRoamin' on June 23, 2023 from the Moose Mountain area.  Born about March 20, 2021, she had been peeing inappropriately in her busy home which included dogs, other cats and several young children.  No medical issues were determined to be the cause, and she has never missed the litter box since coming to us, so it appears that her issue may have been situational.

Lana is a beautiful little girl who is happy to be patted, talked to and loved.  She has lost a little weight since she has been with us to help with some arthritis that has developed in her leg.  Lana is hoping for a new home and family - she has been waiting a long time!  She can't wait to sleep on a bed, play with a computer mouse and watch TV with a family of her own.  She is a true sweetheart - very loving and attentive.  Please drop us a line if you'd like to meet her!  She is grateful to everyone who loves and helps her while she waits for that very special family!
Bridget
"Bridget" returned to us on October 10, 2023 from the Nackawic area where she had been adopted several years earlier.  Born about April 8, 2020, she had originally come to us on April 15, 2020 when about 17 kittens were found on the side of the road in an area that had no homes or buildings in the vicinity.  The kittens had likely been dropped off very recently, as they were only babies and were all together.  Bridget was soon adopted, but was returned to us us after she had become very angry, aggravated and was described as aggressive.

Bridget was immediately examined by her new vet friend who determined her attitude was most probably the result of a very massive case of vaginitis, and she was unable to pee.  Pain medication, antibiotics and lots of medical care soon had her feeling much better.  She was very aggravated when she arrived and was happy to slap and growl (who isn't when they're painful?), but thanks to her vet's care, she soon felt much better and was soon headbutting her caregivers in gratitude.  Bridget was overweight and not able to clean her hind end, so we helped with that until she was capable of doing it herself.

Bridget requires a diet to lose weight, improve her health and ensure she is able to care for herself, and she is doing very well.  She is much happier, now that there is no pain and discomfort.  She is currently fortunate to be fostered by a very caring young man who has decorated her own room so that she is constantly aware and reminded that she is "Queen of the Universe!"  You are a very lucky little girl, Bridget!!  Bridget would do best with a quiet home with no other cats as she likes to be the centre of her human's attention at all times!
Cito

"Cito" came to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2023 from Florenceville where he had been a very young member of a colony of cats who needed help. He was born about July 16, 2023, so was only about four months old.  Cito was named after baseball great and Toronto Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston! Cito has an overbite and had plenty of parasites, but he was soon better due to the parasite medication he received.  He is neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is ready for a new home - preferably with other cats to keep him company - he LOVES company.

We hope to neuter and spay as many as possible from this colony so that it does not continue to grow in size and produce more sick and/or injured homeless/unowned cats and kittens who need more care and homes than are currently available.  Cito is a handsome little boy who quickly responded to the love, warmth, care and food that he has never had before.  Please come meet him!
Holstein
"Holstein" came to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2023 from the Florenceville area, another of a group of cats residing in a colony that we are trying to help.  As their numbers grow, more will become sick and/or injured, so we hope that we can spay/neuter as many as possible and help the ones who are already sick/injured to become healthy and move on to a life as a beloved family member.

Holstein is a very nice little boy.  He is a bit nervous, but has come to understand that he is safe, warm and that food, love and medical care will always be available to him - something he had never experienced in his short life.  Holstein was born about May 16, 2023.  He had a nasal discharge, worms and upper respiratory infection which required antibiotics to cure.  This little boy is now healthy again and may join a family who will love and care for him for the rest of his life.  He is still a little nervous around people, but he loves other cats and he is exceptionally good with his exercise wheel.  He has even taught several other cats how to use it!  When adopted, he will take a bit of time to settle in, but he will then be a perfect pet, especially if he has another feline friend.
Loggins
On October 22, 2024, "Loggins" and his sister Messina were returned to DunRoamin'.   They had originally come to us on August 9, 2021, from Centreville where they and their mom had no one to care for them.  They both had an upper  respiratory infection which they battled for some time.

On January 18, 2023, they were adopted to a gentleman in Woodstock, but
unfortunately, due to a change in family circumstances, they were returned on October 22, 2024.  Loggins was born about July 22, 2021.  He is fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and is anxious to return to a home environment with a new family.
Groves
Groves returned to DunRoamin' on April 17, 2024 from the Waterville area where she had been adopted in November, 2013.  Born about June 1, 2012, she had lived at this location since being adopted, but her owner had developed medical issues and was no longer able to care for her, so she returned to us.

Groves is a beautiful little calico girl.  She was initially nervous and unsure of her new surroundings and servants, but she soon acclimatized once she realized that she was safe, warm, fed and loved.

Groves' vaccines are up to date, she tested negative for FIV and FeLV and was treated for all parasites.  She was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (a condition of the heart), but she shows no physical signs other than an erratic heartbeat and does not require medication as of now, although that could change as she ages.

We hope that Groves might find a new home in the very near future - she is an older girl (coming up on 14 years of age in June, 2026!) who would love to spend her retirement years in a loving home.  She is a quiet little girl who would really love to live in a family again where she might dedicate herself to one or two older, quieter people.  She would also not mind having the company of another older cat.  She loves to be close to people and will purr up a storm once she gets to know you.  And she especially loves Temptations!

Boone
Boone was returned to us on December 22, 2022, from Woodstock where his adopter was unable to undertake his diabetic care due to the fact that they worked a challenging and changing shift schedule and were therefore unable to consistently meet the timelines required for his morning insulin injections.

Boone is a very nice boy who was born about April 22, 2014 and has been waiting for that perfect home since he came to us.  Due to the fact that his body does not process some food well and he tends to develop crystals in his urine, he must eat a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food only.  We have had many dozens of cats on this diet and have had no recurrence of problems once they are eating this food only.  Boone is also diabetic, and therefore requires one insulin injection each morning before breakfast.  He has no issues with this - as long as his breakfast comes first!!  He does love his food!!

Boone is an extremely affectionate cat.  He loves to be with people and will follow you around from room to room to ensure he always has people to whom he can express his love of life!  While on his prescription diet, he has experienced absolutely no problems whatsoever!  Thanks, Royal Canin, for your S/O food!

We hope for a family for Boone - he really would love to know the security and love of a permanent home.   He is attentive and loving to his entire human staff at DunRoamin' and would be ecstatic if he had his very own humans forever, and especially so if he could sleep on their bed every night!
Drew
Drew came to DunRoamin' on August 7, 2024 from a local shelter.  Born about May 19, 2022, he was diagnosed with diabetes.  As the shelter could not house a cat who required insulin twice daily, he came to us as his only alternative for life.  He was already neutered before his arrival.

Drew is a beautiful little boy.  He loves to fist bump with his head, and his huge eyes glow with intelligence.  He required only 0.5 units of Lantus insulin twice daily initially, but now he requires no insulin at all - just a diabetic hard food and Fancy Feast chicken or feast canned cat food.  And he LOVES to be brushed!

Drew is very anxious to go to a new home where he can be a best friend to the human(s) who will love and care for him for the rest of his life.  He currently lives with his friend Lawrence, who is also diabetic - they are very close!  It is normal to see them bumping heads, walking shoulder to shoulder or sleeping together - they are best buds!!  Both would love the stability of home and family - it will be Drew's fondest wish, which will hopefully come true very soon.  He is fully up to date on his vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is treated for all parasites.  He is grateful to his sponsors who help provide prescription diabetic food, blood glucose curves to ensure his insulin levels are adequate and routine medical care.
Rosco
Rosco came to DunRoamin' on July 16, 2024 from Perth-Andover where he was no longer able to be cared for by his owner.  Upon coming to us, he was panting heavily and had parasites.  Born about December 31, 2010, he was also not vaccinated and had not been to a vet in many years.  All these things were rectified to ensure his health and make him more comfortable.

Rosco is an older guy who dreamed only of health and contentment in his later years, but that was not meant to be.  He was diagnosed by his new vet friend as having a cancerous growth beside his thyroid which is not curable.  Rosco still feels good, so we are giving him the best life possible.  Rosco will stay with his DunRoamin' family where he will be spoiled and loved  and receive the best of medical care for the rest of his life.  We are honoured to take care of this little boy - he is a sweetheart who deserves the very best.  He currently lives with Ollie and Brix who share our main area with him.  He is a sweetheart who is very grateful to his sponsors who ensure that he may receive all the medical care he requires while his DunRoamin' staff takes good care of him.  He deserves it!
Humphrey
Humphrey came to DunRoamin' from the Somerville area on June 27, 2024.  A stray who had been hanging around for awhile, a lady had noticed that he now needed help so had been trying to catch him for several weeks.  He eventually lost the physical ability to get away from her and was fortunate enough to be caught and brought for medical assistance.  And he really needed medical assistance.

Humphrey is thought to be about six years old, having been born about June 27, 2019.  Upon examination by his new vet friend, he was found to be emaciated, dehydrated, matted, had ear mites, fleas, worms, arthritis, upper respiratory infection and his teeth were in a terrible state with stomatitis, which would have been very painful for him.  He tested positive for FIV which is not such a big deal at all - he just needs a little more monitoring!

Humphrey was provided with pain medication, antibiotics, steroids, IV fluids and lots of nutritious food.  He was soon eating cautiously and was grateful for his new-found wealth of medical care, food, water and caring friends to help him.  He initially spent all his time eating or sleeping in an effort to regain some of his health and strength.  He was quiet, respectful and grateful for all he received.

Humphrey required all his teeth to be removed, which changed his life entirely.  He was soon pain-free and therefore much more outgoing and friendly, and his gratitude still shines through at every moment he sees a human.  He loves to yell at us for his breakfast and has his very own personal bed which he also loves.  He loves to be picked up, and will hug his humans in gratitude for all he has received in his new life.

Humphrey was also diagnosed with significant lack of vision - he seemed to see shadows and can locate people and food, but is sometimes hesitant with his footing in a new environment, so his current room is never rearranged.  He was also diagnosed with diabetes in December, 2024, so he requires insulin each morning.

Humphrey would just like a quiet retirement home where he can enjoy a human's love, a lap to sleep on, some good food and a nice warm bed - that's all he asks.  After all, he thinks he is in heaven now!  Just imagine what he would think if he got his own very own home and family!  Humphrey would like to thank his sponsors from our Sponsor A Kitty program who ensure that he is able to receive the food, care, medication and vet care he may require.  We couldn't do it without you!

FIV+

I have FIV, click here to see what that means for me and you.

Portia
Portia came to DunRoamin' on August 1, 2024 from the Woodstock area where she had been rescued from certain death that had been threatened as her last recourse.  Portia was born about August 1, 2013 and is a beautiful little girl.

Portia had a great number of fleas which made her very uncomfortable, and she was also pregnant.  Portia was quickly treated for all parasites, spayed, fully vaccinated and was soon ready for a new home.  She is friendly, loving and grateful for all she has received - the alternative would have been terrible!  She thanks her rescuer and foster mother for her life, and the love that she has received from her foster family.

Portia had another injury - the toe on her right front foot had become infected.  Several weeks of medication, foot soaks, sutures and treatment proved to be incapable of healing her toe, so on November 24, 2025, her toe required amputation.  She stayed at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for a few days to ensure all was well, then returned to her DunRoamin' friends and is now doing very well, thanks to the medical care she has received.

Portia initially thought she would like to be an only cat, as she preferred to have all her human's attention to herself, but she has recently become aware that having another feline for company can be great, too.  If you are looking for a loving, attentive little girl to keep you company (and maybe your feline friend as well) - she's your girl!!  She thanks all the people who have helped her along her journey to a loving home and family of her very own.  She looks forward to that - she's been waiting for more than a year! and a half!
Brix
Brix came to DunRoamin' on October 1, 2024, from Good Corner where he was an owned cat.   Apparently previously healthy, approximately one week earlier he had begun to be unable to walk and he stopped eating.  His owner was unable to undertake the costs of medical care for him, so he came to us as a last resort for life.

Brix was born about October 3, 2021.  Examination by his vet revealed that he was displaying neurological symptoms, was blind, he had lockjaw, was "knuckling" with his paws and was therefore unable to walk.

Due to the medical care he received, near the end of his first week of care, he was eating a bit, his lockjaw had lessened and he could take a few steps on his own.  Rabies was ruled out (he had not been vaccinated), but his vet friend had a challenge in front of her - which she met - he feels better already!  He is a sweet little boy who quickly showed gratitude for the warm bed, plentiful nutritious food, significant decrease in pain and discomfort, and the fact that he was soon able to see again was AMAZING!   As of July, 2025, he was still improving.  He can see, run, jump, play and can he ever eat!!  He definitely loves his food!  He was soon healthy enough, so his vaccine protocol was begun, as well.

As of July, 2025, Brix is a different cat than he was only a few months ago.  He was diagnosed with meningitis, but his vet has taken such good care of him that he is MUCH better!  He is in charge of I-Lean's Room - the central room of DunRoamin', and he loves it.  He happily rules his kingdom - jumping, running, playing and interacting with his feline and human friends.  He is a whole different cat, and he is very grateful!

Donations are very much appreciated so that he may continue to receive the medical care he may require in order to become 100% well and join a family as an indoor cat where he will be safe and loved forever.  He is a very unique little boy who shows his gratitude on a daily basis.
Amour
Amour came to DunRoamin' on February 13, 2025 from Glassville, NB, where she had been found outside a home in very cold weather.  No assistance in the form of food or shelter was available to her, so she came to us for help.  She was born about February 14, 2023.

Amour was very cold, very hungry, very skinny and had a large parasite burden.  All these things were quickly rectified with a warm, soft bed, lots of warm, nutritious food and medication she required to ensure the parasites were soon gone and could not return.

Amour was spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and was soon ready for a loving home and family.  She is a gorgeous little girl who is very affectionate and grateful for all she has been given so far.  She initially was very standoffish and did not appear to like other cats, but now that she has lived with many others for many months, she has decided that they are okay - she even admits to enjoying them!

Amour will require dental intervention in early April to ensure her teeth are 100%, and it is our hope to find her a warm and loving family with whom to spend the rest of her life.  She would enjoy being an only cat, especially if she were to get all the attention, AND all the treats!!

Seymour
Seymour came to DunRoamin' from the Fredericton area on March 10, 2025.  His owner was moving, could not take him with her, and could not find anyone who wanted a diabetic cat.  At this point, his life became at risk, and his only option for life was to come to DunRoamin'.

A visit to his new vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic determined that he had been born about March 27, 2018,   He had a bladder infection and is definitely diabetic.  As he has had no medication, his diabetes was uncontrolled, and since he didn't feel good, he was very unhappy.  He was cranky and not very nice to his new friends, but we understood completely.

Seymour was prescribed a diabetic diet and medication and he was soon feeling much better.  He is much happier, less stressed and is happy to be cared for by his new servants who can now pat him, play with him and even pick him up!  What a difference a little medical assistance can make in a little cat's life!

Seymour's diabetes is now well under control.  He was prescribed an oral diabetes medication which he happily eats on his food and therefore does not require insulin injections - just a diabetic diet.  He displays his gratitude each day for his improving health, and he is a very happy boy who loves his caregivers and is happy to show that love and gratitude!  He is particularly grateful to his sponsors who help provide his diabetic food and medication - it has changed his whole world!  Seymour looks forward to a new home - preferably similar to his last one.  He likes a quiet home, maybe as the only feline friend of senior citizen, to whom he can give all his love.
Edwin
Edwin arrived at DunRoamin' on April 24, 2025 from a spay/neuter program from a shelter.  Unfortunately, when examined prior to his neuter, numerous wounds which required medical attention were noted which could not be provided by the shelter, so he came to us for help.  He had also experienced diarrhea, perhaps from colitis or irritable bowel disease.

Edwin was prescribed a prescription diet of Royal Canin Anallergenic food and has been doing very well.  Since he can't eat treats such as Temptations, he enjoys dried minnows that are approved by his best vet friend for his diet.  Edwin is neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and he tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

On first acquaintance, Edwin can be a little shy, but he very quickly turns into a cute little furball who loves being patted and receiving belly rubs.  He is quite active and we often see him running around, chasing after any toy he can find - he is very happy to feel so much better and be warm, safe and loved!  Edwin was born about January 31, 2022.  It's about time he had a safe, loving home.  Please get in touch if you agree!!  He is very grateful to his sponsors who ensure he gets the medication and prescription food he requires.  Thank you so much!
Mojo
Mojo came to DunRoamin' from the Oakland area on June 19, 2025, along with three other cats.   There are frequently many cats at this location which we have been trying to help by spaying, neutering, socializing and finding  homes for as many as possible.

Mojo was born about June 19, 2022, and had a large number of ear mites, stomatitis (he will require a dental before he is adopted) and had diarrhea, which was quickly treated.  He is now neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and treated like a king!  Now, he hopes for a real home and family of his very own.  He developed a case of cystitis which is being treated, and he's doing fine!

Mojo is a small boy who loves attention.  He is very loving and sometimes vocal if he wants attention.  He loves toys, and his fondest wish is to have a home and family of his very own.  He loves being an indoor-only cat and shows his gratitude for his good fortune daily.  This is a whole new world - safe, loved, warm, fed - who could ask for more?  He is only missing a permanent family - come meet him!
Serenity
Serenity came to DunRoamin' on June 19, 2025 from Oakland along with three other cats - Mojo, Aura and Spirit.  Having been born about September 19, 2024, she was only about nine months old and had already given birth.  Spirit, her two-week-old daughter, came with her, and was adopted soon after she became up to date on her spay, vaccines, tests and parasite control.

Serenity was relatively healthy and was happy to have a very nutritious diet to help her gain weight and grow more healthy as well.  She quickly acclimatized to a warm, safe, indoor bed and lots of love and food - it was new to her, and she was and is VERY grateful!  Serenity was soon spayed and received full vaccines, tests for FIV,  FeLV and heart worm (all of which prove negative) and was provided with parasite control to ensure she was relieved of all fleas, ear mites, worms, etc.

Serenity is a very nice little girl, tiny in stature, but large in personality.  She spent some time at The Purrfect Cup - A Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, but she sometimes did not appreciate having so many other cats around her!  She returned to us at DunRoamin', and although she lived with seven other cats, she would not mind being an only cat or having maybe one other cat for company, as long as there's lots of love coming her way!

While here at DunRoamin' in February, 2026, we observed Serenity experience a seizure.  Another episode occurred again in March, approximately one month later,  and her vet determined that Serenity has a form of epilepsy, but as the seizures are short and not close together, Serenity does not require medication at this time.

Serenity has only experienced two seizures to date of which we are aware, and we observe her activity constantly.  If her seizures become more frequent, she may require medication, but for now, she requires only observation and lots of love.  Serenity will most probably remain with us here at DunRoamin' where we will assess her medical status day to day, unless she finds an experienced home and family who might adopt her knowing she may have seizures.

Serenity is now part of our Sponsor A Kitty program, and she looks forward to being chosen to be sponsored by a caring individual, business or family!

Bingo
Bingo came to DunRoamin' from the Centreville, NB area on September 30, 2025 where he and five other males were part of a colony who were living outdoors.  Fortunately, nice people were providing them with food, but very little shelter was available, and the cool days and nights of fall and winter were coming very quickly.  Bingo was born about October 9, 2021, and was quite scared as he had not experienced time being indoors with humans.

Bingo is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He is currently housed with his friend Iris and will require socialization to ensure he is comfortable and fully aware that he is safe and will be well cared for.  Bingo had a wound behind one ear which was most probably self-inflicted when he was trying to rid himself of the itchiness of fleas and ear mites.  He also had some tartar on his teeth, was missing a few incisors and was a bit dehydrated.  All these things are now rectified and we hope to find him a loving home where he will be war, safe and loved forever.

Boggle came to DunRoamin' from the Centreville, NB area on September 30, 2025 where he and five other males (three of whom were his brothers - Wordle, Jenga and Catan) were part of a colony who were living outdoors.  Fortunately, nice people were providing them with food, but very little shelter was available, and the cool days and nights of fall and winter are coming very quickly.  Boggle was born about April 9, 2025, and was a bit scared as he had not experienced very much time being indoors with humans.

Boggle is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He is currently housed with several feline friends and will require a bit of socialization to ensure he is comfortable and fully aware that he is safe and will be well cared for.  He had ear mites but was otherwise healthy, although he is still a bit timid of his new surroundings.  He loves to play with another cat, and is slowly trusting his human caregivers.  He is a beautiful boy who loves to take treats from our fingers!
Wordle
Wordle came to DunRoamin' from the Centreville, NB area on September 30, 2025 where he and five other males (three of whom were his brothers - Jenga, Catan and Boggle) were part of a colony who were living outdoors.  Fortunately, nice people were providing them with food, but very little shelter was available, and the cool days and nights of fall and winter were coming very quickly.  Wordle was born about April 9, 2025, and was quite scared as he had not experienced very much time being indoors with humans.

Wordle is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He is currently housed with several feline friends and will require some socialization to ensure he is comfortable and fully aware that he is safe and will be well cared for.  He had ear mites but was otherwise healthy, although he is still a bit timid of his new surroundings.  He loves other cats and will take treats from our fingers  -  he is a real sweetheart!

Mipha
Mipha came to DunRoamin' on October 27, 2025 from Windsor, NB, when her family could no longer take care of her.  Mipha had many scabs on her body and a large amount of fur was missing from her back.  She was underweight, dehydrated, not at all comfortable and required medical care that her family could not provide.

Mipha required parasite control and several weeks of intensive medical care under the supervision of her new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic to heal her medical issues.  As of November 15, 2025, she was back with us and is doing much better.  Her fur has grown back in and she is obviously feeling better.  She is now fine thanks to the medical care she has received.  She is a very grateful little cat, and shows it constantly - her life changed drastically!

Mipha is tiny in stature, but huge in personality.  She loves people and would be oh-so-grateful to have her very own human, especiallly if she could sleep on their lap during the day and their bed at night!
Trooper
Trooper came to DunRoamin' on November 5, 2025 from Jacksonville where he had been observed in the neighbourhood for a while.  He now had injuries on his back and tail area, and required medical assistance that no one could provide, so he came to us.  Trooper was born about November 5, 2023.

Trooper appeared to have suffered an animal attack which resulted in the requirement for antibiotics and pain medication, as well as several sutures to close his wounds, which were very painful.  Trooper was also very scared - who wouldn't be, after such an experience as being attacked by another animal?  Trooper was provided with all required medical assistance and was neutered.  He is now fully vaccinated and he tested negative for Heartworm and FeLV.  His FIV test proved positive, which is no big deal these days!  Please read up on FIV and FeLV on this website.

Trooper will continue to receive the best of care, thanks to his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and his new servants at DunRoamin'.  He is still a bit nervous of his new situation and environment, but as he begins to heal, consume his nutritious diet and is treated with the best of love and kindness, he will be fine and 100% in no time.  We look forward to finding him a home and family - he's due for a change and he deserves the best.
Stewie
Stewie, a little black and white kitten, came to DunRoamin' on December 10, 2025 from near Centreville where he was found under a porch, along with his brother, Bryan, who is a little grey tabby.  These little guys were born about October 10, 2025, and were all alone - no mom or siblings found.  They obviously needed help, but no one was able to take them in, and the recent weather has been very cold.  There were no tracks around indicating a mom may have been with them, so they came to us for help.

Both kittens had upper respiratory infection, were cold and hungry.  They were immediately assessed by their vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and are now grateful to have their health, warmth and happiness.  Stewie and his brother are hoping to be adopted together, as they have never been separated and love each other very much!  They wrestle, sleep, play and cuddle together constantly, and if one gets out of site of the other, he is very quickly looking and calling for  his brother.  They are very grateful for this wonderful chance at a new life with each other.

Come see me at the Purrfect Cup!

Bryan
Bryan, a little grey tabby kitten, came to DunRoamin' on December 10, 2025 from near Centreville where he was found under a porch, along with his brother, Stewie, a little black and white sweetheart.

They were immediately assessed by their vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  Bryan's right eye was almost completely closed due to his infection, and medication was prescribed three times a day to help him become healthy again.  As of January 15, 2025, both boys are strong, playful and cuter than we can express!

They will be fully vaccinated, tested for FIV, FeLV and heartworm and treated for all parasites, and will be ready for adoption by the first week of February.  Bryan and his brother hope to be adopted together, as they have never been separated and are doing well together!  They wrestle, play and cuddle together, and since they don't have a mom, a brother is very important to them!

Come see me at the Purrfect Cup!

Bertie
Bertie came to DunRoamin' on December 2, 2014 from the Plaster Rock area.  She had been surrendered to a shelter as she was peeing in the bathtub.  When she was taken to be spayed, it was learned she had been pregnant and had been bitten in her belly.  Her two kittens had already passed away, and she needed help which the shelter was unable to provide.  She had no other option for life, so she was immediately accepted by DunRoamin'.  Bertie was born about December 1, 2012.

With the love and medical care provided by her new family, Bertie soon blossomed into a healthy, happy little girl.  She participated as a member of our Cats For Seniors program for many years, and returned to us in 2025.  She was diagnosed as diabetic, but only requires diabetic food and some liquid medication which she eats on her food, and she does so with gusto!

Bertie is a beautiful little girl who loves company, loves to snuggle and loves to be in the same room with any human who loves her.  She is a senior citizen who is still awaiting a family of her very own.  She would love to be an only cat for the human who would give her ALL their attention, but she wouldn't mind one other cat, either!  Bertie is a sweetheart, and she looks forward to the family who will finally locate her - the perfect cat!
Marvin
Marvin came to DunRoamin' on the afternoon of January 9, 2026, from the Cloverdale area.  He had apparently been one of five cats who were abandoned in the area approximately ten months previously, and although neighbours had been feeding them, only one remained, and he needed help.  Coyotes had been seen in the area and he had been living outdoors for too long.  It was time to be warm and safe.

Marvin was examined by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was determined that he was only about a year old, having been born about January 9, 2025.  He had a potted belly, parasites and required a dental as one of his canines was digging into his jaw - this must have been painful!  Marvin was booked for a dental surgery to correct this, he was neutered on January 9, 2026, and he was tested for FIV, FeLV and Heartworm (all of which were negative) to ensure he was safe and healthy.

His vaccines are up to date as of mid-February 2027 and he is ready for a home where he can once again live inside and be loved, safe, warm and well cared for.  He thanks the people who rescued him and provided donations to help with his care such as food, medication and dental surgery.  He is a very nice little guy, and he is certainly grateful for his new temporary home at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, NB while he waits to be chosen as a permanent family member - he can't wait!!  Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup, have a fantastic cup of coffee, a treat, and spend some time with some very nice cats and their staff!

Swoon
Swoon came to DunRoamin' on February 8, 2026 from the Lakeville area where she was a stray who was hanging around a house.  There were several others, but all were nervous and scared.  Fortunately, little Swoon was brave enough to allow her rescuer to bring her inside where she could be warm and safe.  However, due to the number of pets already residing at this home, her rescuer was unable to provide Swoon with the care she required, so she came to us as a last resort.

Swoon was born about June 12, 2025, so was only about eight months old.  She was cold, scared and very skinny, but her personality soon bloomed once she experienced a warm bed and plenty of healthy food!  Swoon is a very nice little girl who is happy to be warm and safe.  She will be ready for a home in early March, and she looks forward to a permanent loving family.  On March 14, 2026, she went to The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, to spend some time with her friends there while she awaits a family to come find her.  Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup - you'll be amazed at their coffee and treats!  You'll enjoy their cats, too!

Tilley
Tilley came to DunRoamin' on February 26, 2026, from the Perth-Andover area where she was a stray who had been taken in by a kind couple as she had been hanging around outdoors, and the temperatures are really cold this month!  She needed food and warmth, which her rescuers were happy to provide.  However, it was reported that she had begun peeing outside the litter box and her pee appeared to be of a crystalline nature.  As her rescuers were unable to take on her medical requirements, she came to us.

Tilley was born about August 11, 2024 and is a beautiful little girl.  She has one blue eye that makes her even more beautiful.  She was initially stressed in her new environment, but was soon doing much better.  Tilley was spayed and tested on February 27, 2026 and received her final vaccines in March 2026.  She is an exceptionally affectionate, playful and loving little girl, and she will be looking forward to meeting the people who might choose to be her new family very soon.

On March 27, 2026, she was happy to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup - A Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she will enjoy the company of other cats, as well as her new servants.  Have fun, Tilley!

Iris
Iris came to DunRoamin' on March 12, 2026.  She had originally been found on her own in the Hartland area and been taken to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic as a stray.  Born about November 12, 2022, she was overweight and anemic.  She spent several months at the vet clinic, then came to us to become socialized and find a home.

Iris is a sweet little girl who was initially timid, but once she realized that she had a wealth of friends (both human and feline) at her new home, she came out of her shell dramatically.  She loves to play, loves Temptations and loves her caregivers.  It takes her just a minute to warm up to new people, but she instinctively knows that they are friends and will treat her well!

During her checkup in early March, it was learned that her anemia is completely resolved.  However, a recently-detected lump on her throat was diagnosed as salivary mucoceles.  This is a rare condition in which saliva leaks from a damaged gland or duct, causing swelling which could eventually cause difficulty breathing or swallowing.  Iris's surgery to remove this lump will be booked as soon as possible, and we will keep you up to date.  Donations to assist with her medical care are appreciated.
Stryder
Stryder came to DunRoamin' on March 15, 2026 from the Perth-Andover area where he had been abandoned at a home.  As there were allergies in the home, this family could not keep him.  All attempts to find him a place in another home or shelter failed, and as he had been living for several months in a room by himself, he needed help.

Stryder was examined by his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where he was found to be in good condition.  He was neutered, tested for FIV, FeLV and Heartworm on March 19, 2026 and tested negative for all.  He is an extremely social and loving little buff orange boy who is grateful for his new chance at a real life and a family who will care for and love him forever.

Stryder is now spoken for by a couple who has adopted four DunRoamin' cats, all of whom were spoiled beyond their dreams.  Stryder looks forward to joining his new family once his vaccines are all up to date in April, 2026.

SPOKEN FOR!
Enid
Enid came to DunRoamin' on March 18, 2026 from the Wicklow area where she was a stray who had been hanging around for about a week seeking food and shelter.  There were no other houses close by, but a check of neighbours revealed that she was not known to anyone, so it was assumed that she had been dropped off.  A gentleman had been trying to help her out, but his dogs were not happy to have her in their presence.  He gave her food and shelter, for which she was very grateful.

Enid was examined by her new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and the following was learned:  she was born about March 19, 2019, so was a senior citizen; she had cauliflower ears which were packed with ear mites and debris; she had gingivitis and tartar on her teeth; signs of arthritis were beginning to show in her left knee; her tail had previously been broken near the base; and her left eye had a luxating lens - she could not see out of it, and it was potentially causing her pain.

Enid had lots of issues and required assistance.  She was taken to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where, on March 19, 2026, her new vet friend removed her left eye and began the path to her new, healthy, pain-free life.  Enid was spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV, FeLV and Heartworm, and given the best of medical care which also included pain medication and parasite control for the parasites she had collected during her outdoor survival experience.

Enid has obviously had a challenging life, but today she hit the jackpot.  She appreciates her new, warm bed and her constant and nutritious diet.  She is very grateful to her new vet friend and to her DunRoamin' servants, as well as to the gentleman who made this new life possible by helping her get off the streets and into a safe, loving environment.  Stay tuned - we will keep you up to date on this beautiful little girl as she heals and becomes familiar with her new life.  Donations to help with the surgery to remove her eye (enucleation) are welcome.

SPOKEN FOR!
Norris
Norris came to DunRoamin' on March 24, 2026, from Greenfield where he had lived since he was a kitten.  Born about March 26, 2024, he was no longer able to reside in his home and had no other recourse for life.

Norris, named in honour of Chuck Norris who recently passed away, was extremely stressed upon arrival and insisted on growling and attempting to bite and scratch his new caregivers.  He wanted nothing to do with his new environment, including his food.  His initial medical assessment proved challenging, and no immediate medical problems were identified other than the fact that he was matted on his belly.  Norris had to be handled carefully, and leather gloves were utilized by his new staff.

A week into his new surroundings and with the careful and caring hand of our lead staff member, Norris has slowly begun to trust and allow his new lead staff member to pick him up.  Although he is still tenuous with the remainder of our staff, he is slowly beginning to trust his one special person.

Norris is neutered and has begun his vaccine protocol, as he had received none in his first two years of life.  He will be tested for FIV, FeLV and Heartworm and receive his final vaccines in the upcoming weeks.  Once he is comfortable, socialized and trusting, he will be available for adoption.  We will do our best to ensure that happens as soon as possible.  He is a very nice boy and we are certain he will soon be ready for the perfect home and family.  Please stay tuned.
Waiver
Waiver came to us on April 1, 2026, from the Carlingford area where she was a stray who had been hanging around seeking refuge from the cold and wet weather for the past several months.  Although food had been provided, her only shelter was under a porch.  Her rescuer was now thinking that she had become pregnant and required a better, safer location than they were able to provide.

Waiver was brought to DunRoamin' where it was determined that she had been born about April 2, 2024, so was only about two years old.  She was initially hissy and timid, but once she realized she was warm, safe and surrounded by friends, she quickly became friendly and grateful for a heated bed and lots of fresh, nutritious food.  Waiver was examined by her new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic who determined that she was thin for her size and had some tartar on her teeth, but appeared to be otherwise healthy.

So far, it appears that Waiver will be a friendly, happy and comfortable little girl, once she gets used to her new surroundings and is fully up to date on her protocol of spay, vaccines, FIV/FeLV/Heartworm tests and parasite control.  She will be ready for a new home near the end of April, and looks forward to being chosen as a new roommate and family member of some lucky person(s)!  We will keep you up to date on her progress!
Coltrane
Coltrane came to DunRoamin' from the Upper Kent area on April 1, 2026.  He had been a stray who had been hanging around the neighbourhood for quite some time, but no one could take him in.  He had last been seen in December 2025, but had recently returned.  His rescuer reported that he was matted and she believed she felt scabs all over his body.  She also reported that Coltrane appeared to enjoy being around her small dog - perhaps he lived in a home with one before having to live outdoors on his own.

Coltrane was examined by his new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was determined that he was about three years old, having been born about April 2, 2023.  Coltrane will require at least one tooth to be removed in the near future, and he required his body to be completely shaved as he was extremely matted, had parasites and was therefore very uncomfortable.

Coltrane was neutered on April 2, 2026 and has already been treated for parasites and received his first set of vaccines.  He tested negative for FIV, FeLV and Heartworm and will receive his final set of vaccines near the end of April, at which time he will be happy to be adopted as an indoor-only cat (after his dental is completed) to the adoring family he hopes is waiting for him!

Abel

Show description

Crombie

Crombie

Show description

Thank you!

Beau

Beau

Show description

Kensi

Kensi

Show description

Lawrence

Lawrence

Show description

We all are!

Bridget

Bridget

Show description

Cito

Show description

Groves

Groves

Show description

Boone

Boone

Show description

Drew

Drew

Show description

Rosco

Rosco

Show description

Humphrey

Humphrey

Show description

Portia

Portia

Show description

She looks forward to that - she's been waiting for more than a year! and a half!
Brix

Brix

Show description

Amour

Amour

Show description

Seymour

Seymour

Show description

Edwin

Edwin

Show description

Mojo

Mojo

Show description

Serenity

Serenity

Show description

Come see me at the Purrfect Cup!

Iris

Iris

Show description

Stryder

SPOKEN FOR!
Enid

Enid

Show description

Norris

Norris

Show description

Waiver

Waiver

Show description

Coltrane

Coltrane

Show description
