Intake Name Picture Description
Abel
"Abel" came back to us on April 20, 2018 from Woodstock where he had been adopted in December 2015. He had originally come to us from Lakeville in 2012 where he was one of several cats who were hanging around a home but had no one to care for him. He, his brother Abner and sister Avis came to us all at the same time. Able and Avis have since been adopted.Abel is a sweet little boy who was originally very timid and needed his brother Abner to feel safe, but he's now very confident and secure and happy on his own. Abner is eating a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to make sure that he is healthy as he has a tendency to block if he eats other foods. We have had dozens of cats who have been placed on this diet and it works extremely well - no problems at all, as long as they eat this diet.Abel is currently in a foster home where he will be loved, cuddled and doted upon until he is chosen for a permanent home! He was born about April 1, 2012. Please come meet him -you'll fall in love!
Hatfield
"Hatfield" came to us on February 4, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  He was born about February 4, 2017, so was only about two years old.  Because Hatfield came from a location where Feline Leukemia had been found in other cats, he was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019, at which time it was confirmed that he did not have Feline Leukemia and was perfectly healthy.

Hatfield was initially a bit timid, but he learned very quickly that he was safe and sound and that he now had many servants who would ensure he had everything he'd ever need or want.  Hatfield currently lives with a half-dozen other cats who require a Royal Canin Urinary S/O food  He sometimes requires medication on his belly since, if he gets a bit stressed, he sometimes develops red spots which are easily treated, but we know that when he gets his very own quiet home and family, he will be perfectly fine.  He is very low-key, loving, attentive and affectionate.  He just wants a nice, quiet home and family and he'll be perfectly happy forever!
Tanoo
"Tanoo," and her kittens, Tamper, Tamara, Tardis, Trax and Tenet all came to DunRoamin' from the Fielding area on November 14, 2021, where they were living alone in and around an abandoned building.  The location was cold, provided little shelter and  even less food.  Tanoo was born about November 18, 2019, and her babies were only about six weeks old.  All kittens have since found homes.

Tanoo is a beautiful little girl who was initially very timid, as she had apparently never known the safety and security of a loving family.  She is still slightly timid and it takes a minute for her to learn to trust a new person, but she has come a very long way and is doing well.  She especially likes men, except for her young servant, Sophie, whom she also adores.

We hope that Tanoo can find a loving family who will give her a warm home where she can spend the rest of her life.  She was born about November 18, 2019 and we're hoping she gets the opportunity to know a nice warm lap and the joy of playing with a computer mouse!  It may take her a few days to acclimatize in a new environment, but she would definitely love to have a home with a human or two, and maybe even one more cat.  Please come meet her.
Crombie
"Crombie" came to DunRoamin' on April 23, 2022 from Crombie Settlement, NB.  He had been found in an abandoned house where he had been seeking shelter for quite some time.  A kind lady had tried to catch him, but when she went back to the house he was gone.  Approximately two weeks later, she was able to find and deliver him to us.

Crombie was born about April 23, 2012.  Assessment by his new vet friend showed that he was very dirty, matted, emaciated, had fleas, ear mites, internal parasites and a luxating patella on his right leg.  He had obviously been having a hard time trying to survive, but the worst and probably most painful thing was his mouth.  All his teeth were rotten and painful and required to be removed.  He also had a very bad abscess on his tongue which had resulted in a hole through his tongue.

Crombie was immediately provided antibiotics, pain medication and a nice warm and comfortable bed.  He was also given wet food which he devoured.  Despite his physical condition, he was soon purring and kneading - saying thank you to his new vet for her help to make him more comfortable.  All his medical issues were addressed and he has shown his gratitude each and every day since - he is a loving, affectionate little sweetheart!!  Crombie was tested for FIV and FeLV.  He tested positive for FIV which is absolutely no big deal - please read about it by following the link below.

Crombie was soon a healthy and happy little boy who has bonded with Beau, who is also FIV+.  They are the very best of friends and we hope that they may be adopted together.  Both are neutered, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites.  They are exceptionally affectionate with each other and will bond quickly with their new human.  They look forward to living in a home, watching TV, chasing a computer mouse and the many other things such fortunate adopted cats get to do!

Beau
"Beau" came to DunRoamin' on June 19, 2022 from the Somerville, NB area where he had been hanging around for a few seasons, but no one could take him in.  Recently he had been observed to have what appeared to be injuries on his face.

Beau was accepted by DunRoamin' and immediately examined by his new vet friend who observed an infected injury to his right cheek and several smaller wounds on his feet, one of which was an exposed ligament.  These wounds were most probably the result of an attack by another animal while he was trying to survive on his own.  Beau is estimated to have been born about June 19, 2018, so was about four years old when he arrived at DunRoamin'.

Beau underwent sedation several times to have his wound drained, treated and sutured.  He was prescribed pain medications and antibiotics to combat his injuries.  Beau was also diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which you can read about at the link below.  He and his best friend Crombie are the most affectionate and loving cats you may ever meet!  They hope for a new home together very soon, and would be very pleased if someone were to choose them to join their family.

Josie
"Josie" came to DunRoamin' on June 21, 2022 from the Victoria County area where she had been diagnosed with diabetes.  Unfortunately, no one was available to provide her care, so she came to DunRoamin' to live with our two diabetic cats who eat Diabetic food and require insulin injections twice daily.  Josie only requires diabetic food - not injections.  Josie was born about June 17, 2012.

Josie is a beautiful little girl who has become much more outgoing and playful.  Thanks to the care and interest provided by her vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, Josie no longer requires insulin injections - and is happy to eat whatever she wants.  She currently is eating Royal Canin Adult food and Fancy Feast canned.

Josie is a very sweet, quiet little girl who will do very well in a quiet home by herself, or perhaps with one other cat of similar age.  She is social, playful and doing very well, but would SO like to have her very own family.  She deserves it!  As a Senior, she hopes for a quiet retirement home.
Kensi
"Kensi" came to DunRoamin' on July 6, 2022 from the Woodstock area where her owners could no longer care for her, so her options for life quickly became limited.  Born about May 5, 2019, Kensi had developed kidney stones and required surgery to remove them which took place on July 7, 2023.  Of course, with the skills of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, surgery was successful and Kensi recovered well.

Kensi was overweight when she arrived and is working on her diet to ensure that she soon is of a healthy weight.  She weighed about 18 pounds when she arrived and was soon down to about 16 pounds, so she has done a great job!  She is a wonderfully affectionate girl with a beautiful personality and sparkling blue eyes that will easily win you over!  She eats Royal Canin Urinary S/O food to ensure that she will have no similar medical issues in the future.  She is currently living with a half dozen other cats and she has absolutely no issues - she loves them all!  Please come meet her.
Lawrence
"Lawrence" came to us on January 17, 2023 from a local shelter.  He was diagnosed with diabetes and required daily injections of insulin which, due to the particular timings of this requirement, his caregivers were unable to provide.  Lawrence was born about January 22, 2013 and is a very nice boy.

Lawrence also had a wound on his hind leg which required medical care.  His wound has healed completely and he is responding well to his insulin which is provided once each morning.  He is a vocal and sweet little boy whose only wish is that he might live in a home, sleep on a bed with a human, and watch a bit of TV every once in a while!  He eats Purina DM dry food along with his Fancy Feast chicken or Fancy Feast fish canned food.  Lawrence also had dental issues upon his arrival, so he required dental surgery to remove all his teeth.  He still loves his dry and canned food and definitely has no issues with his daily insulin injection.  Lawrence is very calm, quiet and loving - he'd make the PERFECT addition to any home that would love to have some affectionate feline company!
Lana
"Lana" came to DunRoamin' on June 23, 2023 from the Moose Mountain area. Born about March 20, 2021, she had been peeing inappropriately in her busy home which included dogs, other cats and children.  No medical issues were determined to be the cause, and she has never missed the litter box since coming to us, so it appears that her issue may have been situational.

Lana is a beautiful little girl who is happy to be patted, talked to and loved. She currently is eating a Royal Canin diet of Urinary S/O food and has lost a little weight to help with some arthritis that has developed in her leg.  She receives a monthly injection to help with her arthritis, and it has made a huge difference!

Lana is hoping for a new home and family very soon.  She can't wait to sleep on a bed, play with a computer mouse and watch TV with a family of her own.  She is a true sweetheart - very loving and attentive.  Please drop us a line if you'd like to meet her!
Tremble
"Tremble" came to DunRoamin' on July 19, 2023 from the Gregg Settlement area where he was a stray who had been hanging around for about a year.  It was eventually noticed that he had become sick and injured, and as no one else could help him, he became DunRoamin'.

Tremble, born about September 19, 2022, was intact, thin, dehydrated, timid and very wobbly on his hind end to the point that he kept falling down and could not support himself to walk.  X-rays revealed no fractures or cause for this.  Tremble was provided the best of plentiful nutritious food, a warm, soft bed and all the medical care he required.

Tremble was neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He was very happy to join more DunRoamin' cats, as he appears to enjoy their company immensely, while also enjoying a cuddle from his new humans.  He currently lives with approximately a dozen DunRoamin' cats, and he loves each and every one of them, regardless of age, personality or gender.  He is SUCH a sweet boy!

Upon the recommendation of his new vet friend, Tremble underwent physiotherapy for his weak hind end, as he could barely support himself.  We are happy to report that he is now walking very well.  He sometimes may "stagger" slightly, but is doing extremely well.  He loves other cats, loves his toys, loves his humans and is very grateful for his new life.  His best wish now is to have a family of his very own.  Please come meet this little guy - he is more than precious.
Bridget
"Bridget" returned to us on October 10, 2023 from the Nackawic area where she had been adopted several years earlier.  Born about April 8, 2020, she had originally come to us on April 15, 2020 when about 17 kittens were found on the side of the road in an area that had no homes or buildings in the vicinity.  The kittens had likely been dropped off very recently, as they were only babies and were all together.  Bridget was soon adopted, but was returned to us us after she had become very angry, aggravated and was described as aggressive.

Bridget was immediately examined by her new vet friend who determined her attitude was most probably the result of a very massive case of vaginitis, and she was unable to pee.  Pain medication, antibiotics and lots of medical care soon had her feeling much better.  She was very aggravated when she arrived and was happy to slap and growl (who isn't when they're painful?), but thanks to her vet's care, she soon felt much better and was soon headbutting her caregivers in gratitude.  Bridget was overweight and not able to clean her hind end, so we helped with that until she was capable of doing it herself.

Bridget requires a diet to lose weight, improve her health and ensure she is able to care for herself, and she is doing very well.  She is much happier, now that there is no pain and discomfort.  She is currently fortunate to be fostered by a very caring young man who has decorated her own room so that she is constantly aware and reminded that she is "Queen of the Universe!"  You are a very lucky little girl, Bridget!!  Bridget would do best with a quiet home with no other cats as she likes to be the centre of her human's attention at all times!
Cito

"Cito" came to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2023 from Florenceville where he had been a very young member of a colony of cats who needed help. He was born about July 16, 2023, so was only about four months old.  Cito was named after baseball great and Toronto Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston! Cito has an overbite and had plenty of parasites, but he was soon better due to the parasite medication he received.  He is neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is ready for a new home - preferably with other cats to keep him company - he LOVES company.

We hope to neuter and spay as many as possible from this colony so that it does not continue to grow in size and produce more sick and/or injured homeless/unowned cats and kittens who need more care and homes than are currently available.  Cito is a handsome little boy who quickly responded to the love, warmth, care and food that he has never had before.  Please come meet him!
Holstein
"Holstein" came to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2023 from the Florenceville area, another of a group of cats residing in a colony that we are trying to help.  As their numbers grow, more will become sick and/or injured, so we hope that we can spay/neuter as many as possible and help the ones who are already sick/injured to become healthy and move on to a life as a beloved family member.

Holstein is a very nice little boy.  He is a bit nervous, but has come to understand that he is safe, warm and that food, love and medical care will always be available to him - something he had never experienced in his short life.  Holstein was born about May 16, 2023.  He had a nasal discharge, worms and upper respiratory infection which required antibiotics to cure.  This little boy is now healthy again and may join a family who will love and care for him for the rest of his life.  He is still a little nervous around people, but he loves other cats and he is exceptionally good with his exercise wheel.  He has even taught several other cats how to use it!  When adopted, he will take a bit of time to settle in, but he will then be a perfect pet, especially if he has another feline friend.
Imogen
"Imogen" returned to DunRoamin' on August 13, 2024 from the New Maryland area to where she had been previously adopted.  Her family kindly and generously took her in, as they have with numerous special-needs cats such as Lois, Derp, Sharon and Booker.  We are so fortunate to have their love, care and patience for these little ones and are extremely grateful for all they have done for many of our special-needs ones.

Imogen is deaf and tested FIV+ (please read about FIV HERE), but has no issues at all with life in general.  She learned a great deal of things in her new home and was dearly loved, but unfortunately she was a bit too much for her new special siblings who are older and require a bit more than normal care.

Imogen is currently re-acclimatizing to her old home here at DunRoamin' where she is living with two other FIV+ cats (Marshall and Humphrey).  Being deaf, she talks louder than normal (ie:  "yells" at us for her food!) but she is very loving and affectionate.  She is hoping for a retirement home where she might live as an only cat who may claim all the attention of her new family.  Other than her deafness, she is a typical cat.  She was born about January 18, 2017, so is about seven years old.

On April 28, 2024, Imogen met her new family who drove from New Maryland, NB, to pick her up. She now lives with DunRoamin's Derp and his siblings, where they are all spoiled beyond belief. Imogen thanks everyone who made her new life possible - it couldn't be better! Congratulations to both you and your new family, Imogen. Please send photos soon!!

Hoover
"Hoover" returned to DunRoamin' on August 16, 2024. He had originally come to us on April 19, 2024 from Woodstock where he, his mom Henrietta and siblings Hayden and Heist had been dropped on the doorstep of someone who could not cope with cats. He was adopted on July 8, 2023 and did well, but was subsequently required to eat a special diet to ensure he did not block. His owners were unable to keep him on that diet, so he returned to us where it was learned that he was badly blocked (urine could not leave his body). Hoover was born about February 19, 2023 and is the SWEETEST boy you will ever meet!

Hoover required a urinary catheter to be inserted into his ureter in order to be unblocked.  He was placed on IV fluids and had his bloodwork checked, which was fine.  He was soon SO much better!  Hoover will require a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food which will guarantee that he will never block again, so he will be perfectly fine (and perfect!) forever.  We have had dozens of cats on this diet, and there has never, ever been a recurrence!  Please come meet him - you will fall in love in no time at all!
Loggins
On October 22, 2024, "Loggins" and his sister Messina were returned to DunRoamin'.   They had originally come to us on August 9, 2021, from Centreville where they and their mom had no one to care for them.  They both had an upper  respiratory infection which they battled for some time, and Messina was prescribed a small amount of laxative as she had issues with harder stool.

On January 18, 2023, they were adopted to a gentleman in Woodstock, but
unfortunately, due to a change in family circumstances, they were returned on October 22, 2024.  This beautiful brother and sister were born about July 22, 2021.  They are fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and are anxious to return to a home environment with a new family.  Loggins is ready now!
Groves
"Groves" returned to DunRoamin' on April 17, 2024 from the Waterville area where she had been adopted in November, 2013.  Born about June 1, 2012, she had lived at this location since being adopted, but her owner had developed medical issues and was no longer able to care for her, so she returned to us.

Groves is a beautiful little calico girl.  She was initially nervous and unsure of her new surroundings and servants, but she soon acclimatized once she realized that she was safe, warm, fed and loved.

Groves' vaccines are up to date, she tested negative for FIV and FeLV and was treated for all parasites.  We hope that she might find a new home in the very near future - she is an older girl who would love to spend her retirement years in a loving home.  She is a quiet little girl who would really love to live in a family again where she might dedicate herself to one or two older, quieter people.  She would also like to have the company of an older cat.  She loves to be close to people and will purr up a storm once she gets to know you.

Boone
"Boone" was returned to us on December 22, 2022, from Woodstock where his adopter was unable to undertake his diabetic care due to the fact that they worked a challenging and changing shift schedule and were therefore unable to consistently meet the timelines required for his morning insulin injections.

Boone is a very nice boy who was born about April 22, 2014 and has been waiting for that perfect home since he came to us.  Due to the fact that his body does not process some food well and he tends to develop crystals in his urine, he must eat a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food only.  We have had many dozens of cats on this diet and have had no recurrence of problems once they are eating this food only.  Boone is also diabetic, and therefore requires one insulin injection each morning before breakfast.  He has no issues with this - as long as his breakfast comes first!!  He does love his food!!

Boone is an extremely affectionate cat.  He loves to be with people and will follow you around from room to room to ensure he always has people to whom he can express his love of life!  While on his prescription diet, he has experienced absolutely no problems whatsoever!  Thanks, Royal Canin, for your S/O food!

We hope for a family for Boone - he really would love to know the security and love of a permanent home.   He is attentive and loving to his entire human staff at DunRoamin' and would be ecstatic if he had his very own humans forever, and especially so if he could sleep on their bed every night!
Alistair
"Alistair" came to us on February 8, 2024, from Lower Brighton.  Born about February 8, 2011, he was very skinny, weighing less than 6.5 lbs.   He had some minor arthritis in his knees, but does not require medication yet - just monitoring to make sure he is not stiff or painful as he gets older.  He had a broken canine and quite bad gingivitis, which means that he was booked for a dental examination with his new vet friend.

Alistair has received all his vaccines, was treated for parasites and his senior blood work displayed no issues whatsoever.  Alistair also tested negative for both Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.  He is a sweet boy who is hoping for a warm, safe, loving and affectionate home to live out the second half of his life.  He is a real sweetheart!  If you are interested in meeting this little boy, please give us a call. We'd love to introduce you to him.  He would like to be an only cat or maybe have an older friend - he's not too keen on the young, energetic ones, but does certainly enjoy companionship - feline and/or human!!
Drew
"Drew" came to DunRoamin' on August 7, 2024 from a local shelter.  Born about May 19, 2022, he was diagnosed with diabetes.  As the shelter could not house a cat who required insulin twice daily, he came to us as his only alternative for life.  He was already neutered before his arrival.

Drew is a beautiful little boy.  He loves to fist bump with his head, and his huge eyes glow with intelligence.  He required only 0.5 units of Lantus insulin twice daily initially, but now he requires no insulin at all - just a diabetic hard food and Fancy Feast chicken or feast canned cat food.  And he LOVES to be brushed!

Drew is very anxious to go to a new home where he can be a best friend to the human(s) who will love and care for him for the rest of his life.  He would be ecstatic if his friend Ronald, who is also diabetic, could go with him - they are very close!  Both would love the stability of home and family - it will be Drew's fondest wish, which will hopefully come true very soon.  He is fully up to date on his vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is treated for all parasites.  If you'd like to meet this little boy, please drop us a line!
Teak
On July 26, 2024, we accepted "Teak" and numerous other cats from the Lansdowne area where they were living in a colony.  All were skinny and had an excessive number of fleas.  Teak, born about August 1, 2023, was pregnant and very skinny.

Teak was very grateful, loving and affectionate to her new servants.  All her medical issues were addressed and she has completed her medical protocol which included spay, full vaccines, parasite control and testing for FIV and FeLV.

Teak tested positive for FeLV (please read about it through the link below). Teak is very bonded to her friend Meloni (who also tested positive for FeLV) and they cuddle, play, eat, headbutt and spend all their time very close to each other.  It is our hope that they might be adopted together to a home where they will experience what life should be:  full of love, food, affection, warmth, shelter and family.  FeLV+ cats can live long and happy, healthy lives.  Please consider this beautiful little girl - you won't regret it!

FeLV+

I have FeLV, click here to see what that means for me and you.

Jacob
"Jacob" came to DunRoamin' from Woodstock on July 19, 2024 where he was found all alone in the Canadian Tire parking lot.  Born about February 19, 2024, this little guy is a sweetheart, and was still just a baby.  He came to us with upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis, worms and a corneal ulcer on his right eye.  Jacob was also diagnosed with Feline Leukemia Virus - please read about it below.  Most cats can live long and healthy lives with this disease, but Jacob was soon also diagnosed with lymphoma as well.

Jacob was very grateful to gain the care of one of our most loving and medically-experienced supporters who very quickly volunteered to take him home to foster for whatever time he might have remaining.  With his foster family, he is experiencing love, companionship, walks in the warm green grass wearing his halter, and is completely spoiled with toys, children, and his favourite tuna tube treats.

Jacob is receiving the best quality of love and care he can possibly receive - something too many of these little ones do not have the fortune to experience.  On February 19, 2025, he celebrated his first birthday!  He is now in a second foster home with another FeLV+ cat, Dazzler, who celebrated her fourteenth birthday on March 25, 2025!  We would like to thank his foster families for loving and caring for this little boy so that he gets to know the kind of life and family he deserves.  He is so grateful for all he receives from them.  Jacob is currently doing very well and loving his life!

Ronald
"Ronald" came to DunRoamin' on July 18, 2024.  Diagnosed as diabetic, his caregivers were unable to provide for his health.  Fortunately for him, we have several diabetic cats who require twice-daily insulin injections so he joined them to ensure that he would have the life he deserves.  He is a kind, laid-back, sweet little guy who wants only to give his love and affection to a human (or two!) who will give lots back in return.

Ronald was born about June 28, 2016 and is hoping to join a family soon.  His insulin is a small twice-daily injection that he takes very easily - especially if there is food involved!  He definitely loves his food!  Please give us a call for more information. This little guy is a keeper - he just needs to find his very own family!!  He is very vocal (especially when he's hungry!) and he has a very best friend, Drew, who loves him SOOOO much!!  They constantly walk shoulder to shoulder and head butt each other with such affection!  Drew is also diabetic.  Please read about him.
Rosco
"Rosco" came to DunRoamin' on July 16, 2024 from Perth-Andover where he was no longer able to be cared for by his owner.  Upon coming to us, he was panting heavily and had parasites.  Born about December 31, 2010, he was also not vaccinated and had not been to a vet in many years.  All these things were rectified to make him more comfortable.

Rosco is an older guy who dreamed only of health and contentment in his later years, but that was not meant to be.  He was diagnosed by his new vet friend as having a cancerous growth beside his thyroid which is not curable.  He still feels good, so we are giving him the best life possible.  Rosco will stay with his DunRoamin' family where he will be spoiled and loved  and receive the best of medical care for the rest of his life.  We are honoured to take care of this little boy - he is a sweetheart who deserves the very best.
Humphrey
"Humphrey" came to DunRoamin' from the Somerville area on June 27, 2024.  A stray who had been hanging around for awhile, a lady had noticed that he now needed help so had been trying to catch him for several weeks.  He eventually lost the physical ability to get away from her and was fortunate enough to be brought for care.  And he really needed medical assistance.

Humphrey is thought to be about five years old, having been born about June 27, 2019.  Upon examination by his new vet friend, he was found to be emaciated, dehydrated, matted, had ear mites, fleas, worms, arthritis, upper respiratory infection and his teeth were in a terrible state with stomatitis, which would have been very painful for him.  He tested positive for FIV (please read about it HERE) which is not such a big deal at all!

Humphrey was provided with pain medication, antibiotics, steroids, IV fluids and lots of nutritious food.  He was soon eating cautiously and was grateful for his new-found wealth of medical care, food, water and caring friends to help him.  He initially spent all his time eating or sleeping in an effort to regain some of his health and strength.  He was quiet, respectful and grateful for all he received.

Humphrey had all his teeth removed, which changed his life entirely.  He was soon much more outgoing and friendly, and his gratitude still shines through at every moment he sees a human.  He loves to yell at us for his breakfast and has his very own personal bed which he also loves.  If you try to do any paperwork on a table, you will not accomplish much - apparently one of his favourite sleeping spots is on the paper or in your arms!  He loves to be picked up, and will hug his humans in gratitude for all he has received in this new life.

Humphrey was also diagnosed with significant lack of vision - he seems to see shadows and can locate people and food, but is sometimes hesitant with his footing in a new environment, so his current room is never rearranged.  He was also diagnosed with Diabetes in December, 2024, so he requires insulin each morning.  He would just like a quiet retirement home where he can enjoy a human's love, a lap to sleep on, some good food and a nice warm bed - that's all he asks.  After all, he thinks he is in heaven now!  Just imagine what he would think if he got his own very own home and family!
Marshall
"Marshall" came to us on June 23, 2024 from the Four Falls area and he desperately needed help.  Found on the side of the road all by himself the previous evening, he was in bad shape.  As his rescuers were unable to take on the medical care this little stray would require, he came to us to get the help he required.  Examination by his new vet friend revealed the following:

Marshall was approximately seven years old, having been born about June 23, 2017.  He was emaciated, weighing only slightly more than four pounds.  As of the middle of April 2025, he weighs 6.8 lbs, so he is doing much better!  He had multiple wounds on his body, including one on his right hind paw that was infested with maggots, so the injury was not a new one.  He had fleas, ear mites and was anemic.  He also had upper respiratory infection which displayed in his eyes and in the mucous running from his nose which made it more difficult for him to breathe.  Marshall was also very dehydrated and his coat was in very poor condition, due most likely to a combination of all his medical issues.  Marshall also tested positive for FIV.

Despite all this, Marshall was very affectionate with us, grateful for the love, care, warmth, food and medical assistance he was now receiving.  He was fed small portions of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal canned food mixed with water to help him regain proper hydration and his vet friend at the Florenceville Vet Clinic (FVC) took excellent care of him while he recovered.  His treatments included antibiotics, steroids, parasite control and laser therapy, as well as the nutritious diet he is receiving.

Marshall soon came back into our care where he continued to be spoiled rotten as we brought him back to health.  We hope for a loving home for this little boy - he must have been out there on his own for a very long time to be in this shape, and he deserves no less than the very best of homes and family.  He is well enough to join a loving family to which he looks forward very soon.  His coat has grown in, has put on some weight and would love to experience a home and family, probably for the first time in his seven years of life.  He tested positive for FIV (read about it below) which is not a big deal at all.  He is healthy, happy and hopeful for a home and family soon.

Meloni
"Meloni" arrived at DunRoamin' on August 14, 2024 from the same location as Juniper, Magnolia, Cedar, Oak, Elm, Teak, Monica, Geller, Joey, Tribbiani, and Marcel.  This is a colony of cats that we have been doing our best to spay/neuter so they do not develop into an even larger, more sick feline community.
However, as cats are continually dropped off/brought in, it is yet another huge and difficult task for a rescue to accomplish.

Meloni was born about December 15, 2019 and is a very sweet little boy.  He tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) but is very healthy.  Please read up on FeLV - it's no big deal, especially if they are safe, warm, vaccinated and receive a nutritious diet and lots of love.

Please come meet this little boy. He is a sweetheart who loves his friend Teak and would love to spend the rest of his life with her in a warm, loving family.  Both Meloni and Teak are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Their lives are almost complete - they just need a loving family.

On October 25, 2024, Meloni underwent a total ear canal resection and ventral bulla osteotomy which is a surgery to remove any infected area
and ensure that infections do not have a place to grow in the ear.  He is already back to his normal self, and much more comfortable, thanks  to his surgeon at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic!   He also underwent dental surgery to remove some bad teeth in early 2025, and he is now 100%!  He looks forward to that loving family who will soon be his!

Portia
"Portia" came to DunRoamin' on August 1, 2024 from the Woodstock area where she had been rescued from certain death that had been threatened as her last recourse.  Portia was born about August 1, 2013 and is a beautiful little girl.

Portia had a great number of fleas which made her very uncomfortable, and she was also pregnant.  Portia was quickly treated for all parasites, spayed, fully vaccinated and is now ready for a new home.  She is friendly, loving and grateful for all she has received - the alternative would have been terrible!  She thanks her rescuer and foster mother for her life, and the love that she has received from her foster family.

Portia initially thought she would like to be an only cat, as she preferred to have all her human's attention to herself, but she has recently become aware that having another feline for company can be great, too..  If you are looking for a loving, attentive little girl to keep you company (and maybe your feline friend as well)- she's your girl!!
Brix
"Brix" came to DunRoamin' on October 1, 2024, from Good Corner where he was an owned cat.  Apparently healthy previously, approximately one week earlier he began to be unable to walk and he stopped eating.  His owner was unable to undertake medical care for him, so he came to us as a last resort.

Brix was born about October 3, 2021.  Examination by his vet revealed that he was displaying neurological symptoms, was blind, he had lockjaw, was "knuckling" with his paws and was therefore unable to walk.

Due to the medical care he received, near the end of his first week of care, he was eating a bit, his lockjaw had lessened and he could take a few steps on his own.  Rabies was ruled out (he had not been vaccinated), but his vet friend has a challenge in front of her - which she will easily meet - he feels better already!  He may have a long road ahead of him, but he will get the best of care.  He is a sweet little boy who already shows gratitude for the warm bed, food, significant decrease in pain and discomfort, and the fact that he is now able to see is AMAZING!   As of March, 2025, he is still improving.  He can see, run, jump, play and can he ever eat!!  He definitely loves his food!  He has begun his vaccine protocol, as well.

Donations are very much appreciated so that he may continue to receive the medical care he requires in order to become 100% well and join a family as an indoor cat where he will be safe and loved forever.
Dwayne
"Dwayne" came to DunRoamin' from the Perth-Andover area on January 18, 2025 where he was a stray who had been seen in the area for quite some time.  Fortunately for him, although he was not allowed inside, people were giving him food which had allowed him to survive.  However, he had recently sustained several wounds and injuries and needed help.

Dwayne soon met with his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic who determined the following:  he was about five years old (born about January 20, 2020) and had medical issues which included a wound on his tongue, fleas, and a large number of bite wounds on his right front leg, as well as many scabs and scars all over his body, most probably the result of many fights and scuffles while trying to survive.  Very nervous at first, he soon was diving into his now ever-present food supply!

Dwayne was provided with antibiotics and pain medication and was neutered and vaccinated.  He also tested negative for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).  Now that he is safe and aware that he is loved and will have the very best care possible, he shows his gratitude with purrs, head butts and long, slow eye blinks.  His scars are healed, he is up to date on all his vaccines and he is now ready for a loving home.  He is a sweetheart - please come meet him!

Squirt
"Squirt" came to DunRoamin' from the Bath, NB area on February 3, 2025 along with his brothers Flounder, Marlin and Nemo.  They were born about February 3, 2025 and are all energetic, playful and cute little furballs!

All four kittens are neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites as part of their protocol.  They are ready for homes and are very much looking forward to it.  We hope that they might be adopted in pairs, or to a home that has a cat (or two!) of similar age so that they might burn off their kitten energy together.  They are very energetic, playful and fun-loving little guys.  If you are interested in meeting them, please send us a Pre-Adoption application as found on this website!  They look forward to meeting their new families!

Nemo
"Nemo" came to DunRoamin' on February 3, 2025 from the Bath area where he and his three brothers had no place to live.  They were born about October 6, 2024 and are sweet, playful, energetic little guys.

All four are now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They are ready for homes and are looking forward to it!  Perhaps they can find a home with one of their brothers, or a home that has a cat (or two) of similar age so that their energy levels match as they run, play, chase and cuddle each other!

Come see me at the Purrfect Cup!

Coral
"Coral" came to us on February 3, 2025 from the Bath area where she was one of several cats for whom no one could care.  Coral was born about August 6, 2022 and is a sweetheart.  She was initially nervous around her new humans, but quickly became much more social and loving.

Coral has beautiful huge eyes and a coat that is now shiny and sleek.  She likes other cats and loves to sleep underneath blankets.   She is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites, and is anxious to meet her new family.  She looks forward to that!
Moxie
"Moxie" came to us on February 11, 2025 from the Plaster Rock area, another cat who had no one to care for her.  She had been hanging around the area for about two months, but it's very cold out there!

Moxie was born about February 14, 2024 - a Valentine's girl, and she certainly knows how to love!  She was soon accepting and displaying affection, and her beautiful green eyes radiate with gratitude for the love, warmth, soft bed and plentiful food she now enjoys.  She is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is very affectionate, and she does a great butt elevator!   She hopes for a new family very soon!

Come see me at the Purrfect Cup!

Jeffrey
"Jeffrey" returned to DunRoamin' on February 6, 2025.  He had been adopted to the best home ever in October, 2023 and had lived his best life, but unfortunately, medical issues of his adopter did not allow his family to keep him and they very sadly returned him to us, as is our adoption agreement.  He is very much missed.

Jeffrey was born about November 20, 2021 and he says he may have some Bengal-like qualities - he is definitely a very vocal little boy who requires a lot of interaction, either with humans or other cats. He would like to be adopted into a home where people are home all the time, or at least to a home with one or two other cats of similar age and energy level to ensure he has lots of company, interaction and stimulation. He is very friendly, loving and active.  He even enjoys dogs!

Jeffrey is fully vaccinated, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites and will be ready for a new home and family by mid-March.  He is hoping for that to happen very soon - he misses the love and attention he got at his old home and is anxious to pass on his love again.  On April 19, 2025, he went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Please drop in - you'll love their coffee and treats, and you will certainly enjoy the cats!!

Come see me at the Purrfect Cup!

Amour
"Amour" came to DunRoamin' on February 13, 2025 from Glassville, NB, where she had been found outside a home in very cold weather.  No assistance in the form of food or shelter was available to her, so she came to us for help.  She was born about February 14, 2023.

Amour was very cold, very hungry, very skinny and had a large parasite burden.  All these things were quickly rectified with a warm, soft bed, lots of warm, nutritious food and medication she required to ensure the parasites were soon gone and could not return.

Amour was spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and is now ready for a loving home and family.  She is a gorgeous little girl who is very affectionate and grateful for all she has been given so far.  It is our hope to find her a warm and loving family with whom to spend the rest of her life.

Seymour
"Seymour" came to DunRoamin' from the Fredericton area on March 10, 2025.  His owner was moving, could not take him with her, and could not find anyone who wanted a diabetic cat.  At this point, his life became at risk, and his only option for life was to come to DunRoamin' for help.

A visit to his new vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic determined that he was about eight years old,   He had a bladder infection and is definitely diabetic.  As he has had no medication, his diabetes was uncontrolled, and since he didn't feel good, he was very unhappy.  He was cranky and not very nice to his new friends, but we understood completely.

Seymour was prescribed medication and he was soon feeling much better.  He is much happier, less stressed and is happy to be cared for by his new servants who can now pat him, play with him and even pick him up!  What a difference a little medical assistance can make in a little cat's life!

Seymour will soon be 100%, once his diabetes is completely under control.  He displays his gratitude each day for his improving health, and he is becoming a very happy boy who loves his caregivers and is happy to show that love!

Abel

Show description
Hatfield

Hatfield

Show description

Tanoo

Tanoo

Show description

Crombie

Crombie

Show description

Beau

Beau

Show description

Josie

Josie

Show description

Kensi

Kensi

Show description

Lawrence

Lawrence

Show description

Lana

Lana

Show description

Tremble

Tremble

Show description

Bridget

Bridget

Show description

Cito

Cito

Show description

Holstein

Holstein

Show description

Hoover

Show description

Groves

Groves

Show description

Boone

Boone

Show description

Alistair

Alistair

Show description

Drew

Drew

Show description

Teak

Teak

Show description

Jacob

Jacob

Show description

Ronald

Ronald

Show description

Rosco

Rosco

Show description

Humphrey

Humphrey

Show description

Marshall

Marshall

Show description

Meloni

Meloni

Show description

Portia

Portia

Show description

Brix

Brix

Show description

Dwayne

Dwayne

Show description

Jeffrey

Show description

Seymour

Seymour

Show description
