50/50 Lotto

DunRoamin’ maintains a 50/50 raffle in support of our strays which is drawn every Monday morning. In order to qualify as a winner, you must buy your ticket before Thursday noon of the previous week.

Tickets are available locally at DunRoamin’ (Riverbank, NB), Mark’s The Spot (Bath, NB), Bobbi’s (Bristol, NB) and the Irving (Florenceville-Bristol, NB).

Tickets may be purchased online by sending an e-transfer to drsrtreasurer@gmail.com. Please ensure you provide your telephone number (so we may contact you should you become a winner). Please also include a security question and answer. Winners will be notified by telephone and paid by cheque.

Initial one-time entry fee is $3, and each week of play is $2. You may sign up for as many weeks as you wish.

50/50 Lottery Rules

General:

Any person wishing to participate in the DunRoamin’ Stray and Rescue 50/50 Lottery shall pay a non-refundable admission fee of $3, then $2 per week for each draw. They may pay $2 each week or pay several weeks or months in advance. Once the admission fee of $3 is paid, the new participant will be a member of the DunRoamin’ Stray and Rescue Lottery. Exceptions are:

• The death of a member shall automatically exclude him/her from the lottery effective the date of death. The $3 admission fee shall not be refunded. If the member has pre-paid for any period of time, the remaining portion shall be refunded to his/her estate.

• Any member who has been non-active (ie: has not paid the weekly $2 fee) for 12 consecutive months (52 weeks in a row) shall be excluded from the lottery and their name shall be removed. Inactive names shall be removed on a monthly basis. If the individual wishes to rejoin, they must pay the non-refundable admission fee of $3.

Details:

• There shall be one draw per week
• The draw will take place each Monday at 9 am at DunRoamin’ Stray and Rescue, 55 Allison Road, Riverbank, NB
• Anyone wishing to assist in the draw is welcome
• To be eligible to win the draw on Monday, the member must have paid the $2 weekly fee by noon on the previous Thursday. Payments made after the Thursday noon deadline shall be entered on the draw one week from the next Monday
• Should the name of an individual be drawn who has not paid the $2 weekly fee by the deadline of Thursday noon, the individual shall be considered a “non-winner.” The total amount for the week shall be added to the next weekly draw
• Winner and non-winner names and the amount won shall be published
• Only the official dated receipt with the DunRoamin’ Stray and Rescue logo shall be accepted as proof of payment
• Members who voluntarily ask to be excluded from the lottery will be required to pay the admission fee of $3 should they wish to rejoin at a later date; and
• No credit shall be accepted
